(to real Kyle) Thank You, Kyle, I'm glad You like it. I know how hard to like own tracks in other's interpretation, so appreciate much Your support of my attempts :) You made my happy childhood by TV soundtrack! (in case You are not Kyle, well, it happens :) Thanks for illusion of conversation with the great composer!
Ha...it's really me. :) Yeah, those mod formats were pretty brutal on sound quality. 8bit and around 5khz samples, if memory serves. It's a little difficult to listen to the originals, so hearing your remix was fantastic. Again, great work. Really enjoyed it. :)
This is the track I most strongly associate with Terminal Velocity. I'll never forget the first time I saw those 3D graphics to this hard-hitting tune.
For a few seconds I thought I was listening to the original but then I realized the sound quality was way too high, and that was when I realized that this was what I had imagined the original sounded like through the rose colored glasses of my childhood memories. Very cool to see someone take the old track and translate it so perfectly from potential to reality. Great job! :)
Thank You so much for such nice feedback ^_^ It's great You've heard the original tune here, that was actually my intention not to ruin the original "essense". There will be more TV remixes for sure B-)
That is *exactly* my experience. First time I heard this, I was like "This...is just the original, right?" I had to look up the original just to be sure, and BOY was I wrong. This is how the song is remembered in my head, and it's just fucking fantastic to hear it. THANK YOU, Necto, this is bloody brilliant!
+Joao Pinheiro Thank You, Joao, I'm so glad we all know, remember and respect those classic pc tunes from 90's, I feel a great excitement to go on with remixes of other great songs.
THIS is your best work so far. this was one of my most played, before unreal tournament showed up. descent 1, 2, 3, descent freespace 1/2, and this. :D eventually support was lost on many of these games. freespace 2 is supported by it's community still. good to hear terminal velocity got a re-release, it deserved one.
I played TV for hours at a stretch just to listen to this. Easily one of the greatest video game scores. Was planning to my own version someday. Yours is brilliant 😁
This is pure nostalgia for me and i guess most people here. You absolutely nailed this! I have heard quite some remakes of it and some i do not ever recognize. This one... SPOT ON!
Played TV (as Terminal Velocity, all 9 episodes + hidden Episode 0). Good to hear this remixed track. Ideal to fly through tunnels, even in Ace Combat 7 :D
Ymir is one of those songs, along with the intro and title that have been burned into my memory, and just wont ever leave. this remix is a massive injection of nostalgia straight to the ears
This is a really well done upgrade of the track. Stays nice and close to the original but updates it and polishes it up on pretty much every level. Very nice!
Thank You! I'm going to reprocess it a bit and it'll shine even better )) I've decided not to clone videos with the same tracks so .mp3 links of new versions will appear in videos descriptions.
Holy--!! I thought I was the only person who remembered this game! I never thught for a second anyone would ever do a remix of *any* of this game's songs, much less the best one! I'm ecstatic!
Thank You, Joseph! You are definitely not alone with Your TV passion ;) Actually, I've got more support and remixes requests of TV, Hellbender, Jazz JackRabbit and so on than UT and other much more contemporary games =) And it's so great to meet people who share this oldskool emotions.
Hm! Hey, if you ever get real bored some time, if you're familiar with another Apogee game called _"Mystic Towers, Starring Baron Baldric"_, that game had a pretty awesome soundtrack worth remixing. Heh heh.
@@nectoulin sure you gonna like it but by the way maybe until i make my video you can try to work on this one for a remix theme too: Hellbender iowah theme ua-cam.com/video/hEduUnYjicQ/v-deo.html

Roman8707 Exactly the same story - 10 years ago I was waiting and hoping for TV remixes, 5 years ago I was in desperation by it's absence, 2 years ago I gave up and just listened the original, so a year ago I thought why don't I remix it by myself?! ))Thank You for watching, listening and for Your comment! I just wanted to convey my gratitude for your FANTASTIC remix/update. One of my new enduring favorites for action music. Thanks for taking the time to mix this brother!
It's so many years ago already and I really loved that game! Not too long ago I found the original tracks of the game and thought it sounded much better to me back in the day. But this remake of yours really revives the old vibe it used to give me! Another great job :)
Thanx so much, Mario, so wonderful to get comments from TV fans (so great we'are still alive xD). I have another TV tracks for reviving, so I really hope I'll able to release it.
Thank You for Your kind words. I have similar feeling to not ruin the original idea if it possible (and when the idea is actually great to change it much xD)
Man, this is sick! I was just playing the game again for the first time in over 15 years and thought "Damn, this would be an awesome track to remix. I wonder if anyone's done that." Then bam, found this. Awesome job.
+PIXELMENTIA I share Your thought completely. When I was playing TV I was wondering if anyone remix this outstanding track. After years I've tired to wait so I've decided to do it myself )) I happy to hear You've found this one and You like it!
Damn, this is slick! Surprised it took me this long to find it! What i'd give to hear a remix from a track or two from Fury3 or Hellbender. Soundtrack for all three are severely underrated PC classics.
It's true, these all three underrated classics, I clearly plan to return to this great ost with new reduxes. As for Hellbender\Fury3 I think You could check my collegue's MellowSonic channel, they made a great hellbender remix B)

+Nick Duracell Thanx, Nick. Yep, it was a great game with a great soundtrack =) It seems I'm getting old, but the older game I remember the more I like it =D

the picture you use here, i made a similar image around 10 years ago. back when my mind was coming out of a gutter. it's still coming out of the gutter, just a different one this time. i'm 100x the man i was then. :P
I had several people ask me what this music was when I was playing it in my car, they go crazy. This is exactly what you need if you want to drive fast and take some un-necessary risks. It's for the bad-ass professional. I'm like, you don't know? Wtf is wrong with you, youtube "NU music" LOL
" take some un-necessary risks", hah, interesting saying )) Well, I hope my music at least doesn't motivate to take such risks and it's just the background sounds for beforehand made decision B-) Also I hope You do not share such risks with Your environment (including other people and animals =) Wish Your luck and take care anyway ;)
It's not your music, dude, you state in your about page that you've been in the music business for some time so don't make rookie mistakes like this. Kyle Richards above won't be happy about such claims as well. Yours is only the remix.
Pavel Molchanov That's right. It's just poor choice of words on your part and I am pointing it out. When you say "my music", it literally means what it does. But the "music" is, in fact by Kyle Richard, and you made the remix on his music.
Just dont wanna stop listening to this track. Congrats on your talents, Sir! I do remember, though, that were deimos rising and mars rising (the mac os9 games) also have some cool tracks waiting to be remixed by you. Will you honor my invitation?
I loved this game growing up. And I now currently have it on my computer running through DOSBOX. Well this song right here was always one of my favorites which you freaken nailed it so I now got me a copy of this on my MP3 player. I also liked the title/intro to the game as well. I'd loved to see what you come up with for Proxima Seven (Computer Level).
When I heard you remix the title song, I thought, "There's no way he can remix the Ymir theme better than this!" I was wrong. Btw, try listening to this at 1.5x speed!
I still hope you will one day do a remix of the Centauri III Theme. I love Terminal Velocity to death, and hearing your renditions brings joy to my life.
I really hope to return to TV OST, mate. I think I'll post some new and fresh version of TV Menu theme on SoundCloud, and after "UT99 mission" or in the pause I think I could pay attention to this great soundtrack ;)
Hey Nu Music there is another guy who did a remix of this song and his is about as good as yours. Ya'll seem to have alot in common on remixing this song. If you haven't heard the other guys version go to his UA-cam channel and take a listen. His channel is Stone McKnuckle. He hasn't gotten a comment from Kyle Richards like you, but he kinda deserves one as well as his is just as good as yours.
Hi, Kevin! Of course I've heard Stone's incredible remix, it's really really good one! And I'm totally sure Kyle will find that piece of art since he found my track %-D
+Lepel #087 Thank You, thank you! You mean where are the other 20+ tracks remixes? )) Well, I'm workig on it B-) You can check my 'TV title theme' redux while waiting %-)
I have a very very very special request of you. Do you think you could do a rendition of Sega Genesis/Megadrive Road Rash 2 Theme/Title song I'd love to hear your version of that?
"In Russian "Ymir" is close to "I'm the world"." Yeah, Russia doesn't get to own this term. Ymir is a mythological ice giant from Norse mythology. Odin slew the giant, and the world was formed from his corpse.
Peter Kohari Thank You, Peter. To my shame I have to confess, I've never played Tyrian although I've heard a lot about it (especially about OST author :). So I think I should play it first and I definitely would like to remix some of original tracks.
Hello there! Yep, I think there is a chance =) Usually, I decide to make remixes every time I return to old games, and I returun to old games constantly =D
Thank You! Well, it seems there is no relations with "Chronto Trigger" since I've never played it and NU is just an abbreviation of my nickname - "Necto Ulin".
2097 is my very first PC game years ago, and I can tell You, I've played it yesterday xD I would like to remix it all since every track is superb. I hope I'll find time for that! By the way, there is "omf theme reconstruction" video by Kenny Chow himself! You should check it, great remake B-)
Nu music, I wrote the music to this game almost 25 years ago. You just made my night. :) Cheers.

Thanks for the memories, dude. A lot of the time, the OST composers live on longer than the games themselves for me.
no way you made the og?
Any chance of getting the source files? You know, for science.

Look at the top comment at this page - by Kyle Richard himself
Pavel Molchanov That's right. It's just poor choice of words on your part and I am pointing it out. When you say "my music", it literally means what it does. But the "music" is, in fact by Kyle Richard, and you made the remix on his music.
This is very good work!
Thank You for Your attention to it! =)
That's great! Do the other tracks from Terminal Velocity!
Thank You! I'd like to do more of it )
NU music you've got a great style and it really fits with games. Go for it!
Just dont wanna stop listening to this track. Congrats on your talents, Sir! I do remember, though, that were deimos rising and mars rising (the mac os9 games) also have some cool tracks waiting to be remixed by you. Will you honor my invitation?
+Daniel Cioanca Very kind of You, Daniel. Sure, I'll pay attention to these games and it's OST's, thanx.
Thank you so much! I love this game as well, I'll try my best to return remixing it, it has so many cool tracks still )
You can have Terminal Velocity on your Android device too! :)
Welcome and looking forward to it.
My phone is a LG Env VX9900 kinda out dated, but I still have it and it wouldn't begin to play Terminal Velocity.
Great job!
+Finarvas Appreciate much!
I'd really love to use this music and the original version for some music videos for "hard Flying" is space games like Star Citizen.
When I heard you remix the title song, I thought, "There's no way he can remix the Ymir theme better than this!"
I was wrong.
Btw, try listening to this at 1.5x speed!
TheDoc Thank You much, Doc! Sure, I'll listen it at hi-speed >>>> =)
Already looking forward to it!
They seriously need to remake this game, this is a huge opportunity. And if they do remake it, I hope it is done respectfully.
Yes, I'm waiting it as well ))
very good!!!
+ruset98 Thank You!
Great Remix. You think, i played this Game when i was 3 years old. Now i'm 22, and of corse I would a remake of this game with THIS remix! :D
+Marco Cardassi Thank You, Marco, I wouldn't mind to play TV remake with this remix too =D
OH MY GODDD
invisiblem0vement YEAH! Hope You like it :)
The quasi-UT3 remix of Ymir!
Ha-ha, yep, perhaps it is ;)
@@nectoulin At 0:11-0:22 I never stop to think of how much that sounded like the Avengers theme from Marvel Comics.
damn. wicked!
B-) Thanx!
Awesome!
Thaanx!
Would like to hear your take on the Fury 3 and Extreme G (1 and 2) soundtracks after hearing this. You definitely do some nice remixes.
Thank You! Will consider Fury remixes for sure ;-)
this is my sound track, after i annihilate the earth...and fly to the next world.
xD
the more retro you redo, the more renown you'll become.
so make all those haters jealous as fk. haha! love your stuff.
keep it up.
Does anyone know if there are modern games like TV / Fury 3?
Nice, Nice nice, but where is te rest/ I NEED THE REST! Seriously! I would like to hear the rest!
"In Russian "Ymir" is close to "I'm the world"."
Yeah, Russia doesn't get to own this term. Ymir is a mythological ice giant from Norse mythology. Odin slew the giant, and the world was formed from his corpse.
Yes, amazing coincidence
i wish they remake terminal velocity
Oh, man, I wish the same \o/
Freakin' awesome track. Have you ever tackled the thought of remixing some good tracks from Tyrian?
Peter Kohari Thank You, Peter. To my shame I have to confess, I've never played Tyrian although I've heard a lot about it (especially about OST author :).
So I think I should play it first and I definitely would like to remix some of original tracks.
In Russian Ymir is Имир. Ymir is a God in Norse mythology.
Yep!
Never thought that this track would get a remix. Nice work.
Also, what's your opinion on the music for the Moon Dagger mission?
SaviourV I like TV soundtrack very much, it's catchy and beautifully atmospheric. I will definitely return to it and try to remix more TV tunes.
any chances of remixing fury3 ?
Hello there! Yep, I think there is a chance =) Usually, I decide to make remixes every time I return to old games, and I returun to old games constantly =D
yuss
Fuck this is gooooooooooooooood.
+Griefedtube Thank You! %-)
Fuck .. YES!
Dark Tenka Thaanx ))
Wow... just, wow.
By any chance, is the name 'NU music' inspired by Chrono Trigger?
Thank You! Well, it seems there is no relations with "Chronto Trigger" since I've never played it and NU is just an abbreviation of my nickname - "Necto Ulin".
Awesome remix, you're gonna do other from TV?
Kurt Hectic Thanks, Kurt. It's quite possible, there are at least three planets\tracks I find perfect for me to redux =)
This is just too good, There is this old game called One Must Fall 2097, the menu music, could you please check if you can remix it :)
2097 is my very first PC game years ago, and I can tell You, I've played it yesterday xD
I would like to remix it all since every track is superb. I hope I'll find time for that!
By the way, there is "omf theme reconstruction" video by Kenny Chow himself! You should check it, great remake B-)
