I did a thing. I trimmed my locs. I had my friend trim my locs for me instead of going to the hair salon and I actually ended up liking it. I just show you how I did it and how much of it I actually cut. If you have any questions let me know!

The scissors broke. That was a bad sign.
I chopped my locs last night nearly 8 inches since starting in 2016...they were tailbone length now back to bra strap length ..I love your hair !!! It will grow back in no time ❤️

You locs look beautiful after the cut! The first cut is always the most difficult, but once it's done you have to continue. My first trim/cut was in 2020 at my 11-year mark. I cut off roughly 12-inches and couldn't have been happier. All the ratty ends were gone as well as the extra weight. Now, a cut here and there doesn't bother me at all. I'd much rather have healthy locs as opposed to long stringy locs.

I just did the same thing & I love it, my husband did mine too, I stopped looked in the hand held mirror & guided him the whole way, he did a great job 😊

So at first i was like nooooo. But then i was like i am feeling it. He actually did a really good job. Who would have know kitchen scissors over hair shears. Thanks for saving me money. I am going to cut mine to bra strap length on my 5 year locaverssary. Love it Lex.

Ooh girl I feeeeeeel you! I hit my 6 year mark this past August and decided to do a trim as well but things went overboard and some how I ended up combing them out 🙃 Lol I do plan on starting my locs again though before the end of the year. This gives me the chance to do things right and the way I’d like especially with my new experience and skills 😊 Your came out beautiful btw!

Wow! He cut off a lot but did a great job! I would have cried though. I have dreams of cutting off ny locs or trimming them, and I always end up waking up in a panic.
Haha 💗 he did but it’s how much I wanted cut and so funny thing, I used to have similar dreams and panic too but I guess the reality of it feels a lot different for me.

I trimmed my 7year locs to bra length. They were so uneven real bad . Now i love them they are ok now

I think you would’ve been more satisfied with your ends if he cut fewer locs at a time and cut them on a diagonal. When I cut my locks before I cut each of them on a diagonal and palm rolled the ends. It prevented it from being blunt.
Oh yes def. thinking less at a time would have helped for sure but I am seeing that rolling them are helping.

Lol! I would have said the same maybe a year or two ago, but different mindset now!
Believe me baby girl yes i freaked out when i cut my locks to my milocks about your lens some a little bit longer and let me tell you they worth it in the end there was something about that feeling of omigod what did I just do so I cut about 8 of my locks from the back because I was like okay it's in the back no one should see it and when my undercut girls it'll look hopefully amazing then I have two tone colors with with my blocks that I have grown out and you know because I colored my my locks but anyway I freaked out the whole time but I said well they're just locks they meet they meant a lot because it took time to grow them but I'd rather lose these in the back then having to lose summon the second middle part or the top part of my locs I would freak out then because this is my second set and I cut my hair the first year because it wasn't growing doing what it was supposed to do I grew my hair again and got it locked and it's been 6 years now and I'm very happy but as they say here today gone tomorrow so as long as I don't find any more than and lox I'll be alright and as long as you keep them at the same length you should be alright to I love your channel by the way you're the closestable to follow when you go back to Jamaica or when you go to Jamaica I'm from Jamaica Kingston Jamaica born and raised Big ups keep going Miss Morgan keep keep going my dear.

My first thought was "why is he cutting her hair like that!!!" Im sorry but, he messed your hair up. He tried to cut too much at once, that's why the scissors broke, he didnt even up the back at all. When you brought it to the front, over your shoulder, you could still see that it was uneven. He just hacked it.
