At 9:41 you waved at a passing boat and I have to say thank you for returning such a small gesture. It's not hard to throw a hand up. We as fishermen are like an extended family. I believe it is so rude to look away when someone gives you that small sign of friendship, and familiarity. Keep all the helpful tips coming.

Matt!!! That exact scenario with the underspin and the Shad schools happened to me a few weeks ago. Caught my PB 7.11lb. We saw the school swirling around like a hurricane and I threw a 1/4oz underspin and ran it underneath the school and that big girl smashed it. So awesome. I might have already commented about that on a previous video. And Electric Shad color in Keitech is one of my favorite colors!!!

Lol i was about to post that spot with the rock face looks super familiar. Then you said it about the time the old rail bridge came into view. A train went in when the original collapsed back before 1900. It's a smaller locomotive over on the other side of the dam where Killen is. When TBA flooded where the original working town was that had grown up around the train depot, they left the small engine that moved cars around sitting. A bunch of the oldest houses there in Killen now, are built from the same lumber they tore from the buildings before the switch from the multi lock system to the dam.

Shad will spawn around 60 degrees in Ohio. They'll start late at night, around midnight. Sometimes they come in waves or just steady all night. You can lure them with a steady light. Spend a solid night out during spawn on a musky and flathead lake and it's awesome.

Awesome tips dude! Out here on Mead I noticed our giant gizzard shad were paired up in the shallows with the carp last month. They are still pretty heavy and most of the fish crashing are either the gizzard and the carp. But the LMB and SMB have been going off. But the LMB and SMB still wouldn't hit my cranks and lipless. I got a few on the small spro shad but the ned rig has been so damn dominate out here. But I'll play around some more tomorrow with the shad lures.

Probably more towards the 7'-7'4" rods. For walking style lures in the super spook class, Gary Dobyns made the 734c exactly for it. If you want to go to lighter weight walking lures, you can look at the 733c.
