Life has become so frustrating and meaningless and hopeful dreams decay into suicidal tendencies and hopelessness. Such wasted years one cannot recover. Let us not lie to young people that they are the future of tomorrow and that education is the key, and yet it is not.

Sasa I understand why my fellow comrades are taking nursing careers in the western world.
i can blame the schools nor the government ... we are programed to be job seekers from childhood, thays y most people fear being self employment ... people will walk around searching for jobs for years but startinh even a small business will be a problem ... we have to change the mentality about education ... go to school to learn and sharpen you mind , learn skills ... once you are out of school ,use the skills and knowledge to adapt to the outside world ...

Did psychology at Egerton dropped out in my forth year. Taught myself how to code, got my first job, taught myself debt management. 7 years on the job and I've had to teach interns how to make simple websites from scratch cause what I saw on the transcripts and what they could actually do ni story ya jaba. Physical universities seem overated I got my financial analysis cert online. Self financing your education becomes a means of a career path as opposed to dedicated years of paying fees and come out with little to no experience.
Uganda’s education was re-adjusted for the last four years but I think we as African parents we have to stop thinking education is a silver bullet , u find people with business but they can train their kids in that business they think education is enough n these businesses fall wen passed over to next generations coz they were not natured , let’s try everything atleast one will work ( I mean educate as u train )

My dad told me that in their time, hose who reached form 4 were employed in big organizations like banking, multinational companies. Form 6 were even considered highly educated and give supervisor, managerial positions. You only go to university after working to gaining experience and the government paid you ‘Boom’. Let’s be honest, if we use the university as a place for research and development and implementation then money will be generated from what has been developed and pay ‘boom’ to students. But if financing comes from school fees, the quality of students will not generate income out of their training because they paid for it.
I don't regret dropping out because I knew even if I was one of the few that makes it into the job market I'd hate it. UA-cam, google, and the internet are all the university I ever needed.

Degree is worth it its poor governance and corruption has failed lowered education standards in kenya. Shame to anybody who benefits from loot.
Don't chase white collar jobs. Focus on short and cheaper courses and the blue collar sector. Don't waste your time and money.
