Athletic sneakers are the most widely purchased shoes in the world. But along with big sales comes a huge carbon footprint from sneakers’ production and waste.
In this student-produced video, NOVA Science Studio student producers Emma Wasserman, Kabir Ali Jeevraj, and Ife Renro discuss how our sneaker buying habits affect the environment.

Great video. Do you have other climate change themed videos that are produced with students?

Like leather boots used from the leftover production of the meat processing plants instead of waste the skins in the hides are turned into shoes 👞
Hundred percent leather shoes where even the soul of the shoe is made out of cowhide or some other animal pig 🐖
And because of the durability of the upper leather you can have them resoled 2×4×5 times before you ever throw away the shoe.
