Also Garibaldi sailed alongside an expedition of just 1000 soldiers in order to unify the whole Italy, and considering the size of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies in the south (basically half Italy) and its army made of more than a hundred of thousands of soldiers , it was indeed a huge achievement for Garibaldi and his Red Shirts...

In fact, they lost much less than that. About 26 men during the fighting for Durres, after the capture of Durres the resistance of the Albanians was broken and the Italians occupied the whole of Albania in 5 hours. So the video is a bit incorrect. (Not justifying the fascists)

To add some contex, Italy was Albania's only ally. The albanian army had italian officers that helped create the army and they sabotaged when Italy was about to invade. The king and government decided not to give weapons to the population even though there were revolts asking for weapons and resistance. They decided better to act as government in exile and not cause loss of life seeing as the main ally and weapon provider attacked.

    1.Albania was Italy ally
2.Albania united with Italy like Austria did with Germany so there was no real big war
3.Before the war Italy invested heavily in infrastructure in Albania of that time and also build many things for peoples and also promised to give back Kosova and other taken Albanian land back to Albania (they did for the time of ww2 promise kept) and so Albanians didnt really wanna oppose Italy
4.Albanians saw unify with Italy as a good thing for more economical power
5.Italy was main ally of Albania before the backstabbing ,most of Albanian army were trained by Italian officers who also saboutaged everything before the war so the artilerries etc didnt work
6.As Italy was the main ally of Albania economicaly and military there was no point in trying to defend against Italy as it would leave the country with no economical and military supplies
7.Italy had ordered the army to avoid any civilian casulties in Albania with all cost who wouldnt fuel any resistance
    Ahh almost forgot
    8. Later on after seeing the oppresion from the army Albanian partisan groups started
9.one of the commanders were Enver Hoxha (Albania dictator who ruled Albania from the end of ww2 to 1991) who turned Albania army in 7th rank strongest world army under his rule
10.Albanian Partians managed to defeat Italy and Germany after Allies were attacking from France and Russia

World War II, spanning from 1939 to 1945, was one of the most significant and devastating conflicts in human history. This essay will explore key aspects of this global war, covering its origins, major battles, impact on societies, and its lasting legacy.
The origins of World War II can be traced back to the aftermath of World War I. The harsh terms of the Treaty of Versailles, signed in 1919, imposed heavy penalties on Germany and sowed the seeds for future conflicts. Economic hardships, political instability, and the rise of totalitarian regimes, such as Hitler's Nazi regime in Germany and Mussolini's fascist government in Italy, fueled tensions across Europe.
In 1939, Germany's invasion of Poland marked the beginning of World War II. The invasion prompted Britain and France to declare war on Germany. The early years of the war saw rapid German advances in Europe, with the Blitzkrieg tactic proving highly effective. The fall of France in 1940 left the British standing alone against the Axis powers.
One of the turning points in the war came with the Battle of Britain, where the Royal Air Force successfully defended against German air raids. This marked the first significant setback for the Axis forces. Meanwhile, in the Pacific, Japan's expansionist ambitions led to the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, drawing the United States into the conflict.
As the war progressed, major battles shaped its course. The Battle of Stalingrad (1942-1943) on the Eastern Front marked a decisive victory for the Soviet Union, turning the tide against the Germans. On the Western Front, the D-Day invasion of Normandy in 1944 was a pivotal moment, as Allied forces landed in occupied France, leading to the eventual liberation of Western Europe.
The war also witnessed brutal atrocities, notably the Holocaust, where six million Jews were systematically murdered by the Nazis. The Nuremberg Trials post-war held key figures accountable for war crimes and crimes against humanity, establishing a precedent for international justice.
The impact of World War II on societies was profound. The war effort necessitated significant mobilization of resources, leading to economic transformations and technological advancements. Women entered the workforce in large numbers, contributing to the war effort and challenging traditional gender roles.
The war also brought about the use of new and devastating technologies, such as the atomic bomb. The bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 by the United States brought the war in the Pacific to a swift end but raised ethical and moral questions about the use of such destructive weapons.
World War II left an indelible mark on geopolitical structures. The formation of the United Nations in 1945 aimed to prevent future global conflicts and promote international cooperation. The division of Germany into East and West became a symbol of the Cold War tensions that followed, with the United States and the Soviet Union emerging as superpowers.
In conclusion, World War II was a complex and multifaceted conflict that shaped the course of history. Its origins rooted in the aftermath of World War I, the war saw the rise of totalitarian regimes, major battles across continents, and profound societal changes. The war's legacy, from the horrors of the Holocaust to the establishment of international institutions, continues to influence the world today. Understanding this pivotal period in history is crucial for comprehending the complexities of the modern geopolitical landscape.

Why should anyone ALWAYS describe the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour as an "infamous attack"? A historical essay should not contain personal opinions.
