Hi from Australia Pierre. Have been shooting waves/surfing for the past year or so with a GoPro. Just upgraded to a Sony a6500 with housing so looking forward to the next step. Loved the video and hope you do more content around in water shooting.

From what I understand the SPL housings are focal length specific. So what focal length and f/ is most often used by Richard?

Good question! He uses a lot the fish eye, 50mm and 70-200. Aperture is around f/8 if I remember correctly.
Tnx (still mind boggling how he can fit and zoom the 70-200 inside the housing) .
I find when using the GoPro and dome I get a white flare reflection from the sun if shooting upwards. I don't bother using the dome anymore as a result.
Hey! Yeap that's a real risk with it. It has pros and cons for sure! so you shoot with the normal housing usually?

The dome flares even with the sun to your back. I shoot now using the normal housing and it works , though clarity is not as good as with the dome. Have a different setup for this summer to use instead.

@@Pierretlambert yeah it is amazing! Can't believe it that such a good tool can fit in your pocket haha.. But i mostly use my surf setup on holidays. Still want to use it for some windsurfing pictures shot from the shorebreak. I shoot in The Netherlands :)
