This is a standard feature on most coupes. even my uncle's 2005 Civic LX had it. What you didn't mention tho is that this isn't the case on the driver side since it is actually dangerous for that to potentially happen to a driver.

I have the 03 Matrix Xr and it has this steering wheel. It’s so comfortable in my hands, I love how it feels and it’s so practical. My next car if it doesn’t have this steering wheel I’d trade it out in a heartbeat if I could.
@@rubbertoe. it does. when you're not using the gas and in gear, the engine won't need any fuel to run if you're rolling since the wheels are connected to the engine. if you're in neutral it still needs gas to idle.
I had one of these. Great car! Just tough to get in and out of when you’re 6 foot 1. But it’s easy to handle and good on gas! Mine was a 2000 gts. It’s actually the car I learned to drive stick with.
@@dankyducky3161 I'm not 6 feet tall but getting in and out I kept almost tripping because it's so low you might also be too close to the wheel. Its definitely not as bad as a Miata though

Отличные видосы Харитон продолжай в том же духе, прими небольшие советы: никогда не скидывай на нейтраль только при полной остановке, при понижении передачи делай перегазовку желательно с двойным выжимом сцепления (если никуда не торопишься конечно) торможение желательно совмещать с торможением двигателем в идеале с перегазовкой пяткой правой ноги, и никогда так не закрывай капот, достаточно просто отпустить его на расстоянии 10 см от машины)
I had one for a daily driver in Ireland for about 5 years , I bought another car now for daily use but I still kept the Celica. I couldn't part with it and I will use it as a fun weekend car in the future 😅
Same thing happened to me. I bought mine going on 8 years ago. It was my only car for a while. Once I drove it 9 hours (one way) with my son and husband for a trip. It was so cheap to travel in but man it wasnt comfortable 😅. I bought a newer family car years ago but I can't get rid of my celica. I've had to field off all the people asking to buy it because i plan to never sell.
Put the light flywheel and 195 60 R15 88V wheels on 143 HP and enjoy! From 0 to 100 km in 7.7 seconds! And if you put petrol around 100 octane in it, even better! 😎
that’s a stupid tyre size, unless you have a track car with a lightweight 15” wheel setup 205/50 on 16” wheels is going to be the best. 0 point putting 100 octane in a 1zzfe, it doesn’t even need 98
this car doesnt have any oiling issues when street driving, if your driving it really hard on the street then you might want to add that sort of stuff but the same goes for any car. lots of misinformation out there about it
I’m not talking about understeer, and when I say ridiculous I meant it has a lot of grip. have run into oversteer several times and only experienced understeer once. and it’s more like an integra tbh, handling is very similar to a dc2 type r. Hondas are overpriced now though
cruise control sucks in the celicas, doesnt hold throttle and comes on and off randomly. also kinda ruins the feel of the throttle pedal as the throttle cable goes through the cruise control unit before the throttle body

@@arcanevoid9199 I drive mine to work and it is over an hour daily. I was driving my newer rav4...yes it was comfortable but the gas was killing me. It's over $6/gallon in my state. You really can't get much better than having a celica as a commuter. They're very reliable.
I do not recommend it, because it is fast enough for a beginner. Well, if you want to stand out from the crowd and attract the attention of girls, then you can ;) But there is very little space in it!
I got one for my second car with the 140 hp engine, and it's great if you don't mind driving a manual. The gts with the stronger engine is kinda a pain in the ass to fix because it's less reliable but is more fun cause of that high rpm action. In terms of interior space, if you use it as a 2 seater (4 seats for emergencies) it's very practical, but if you plan to give all your friends rides everywhere you should look into sedans.

I'm also 6'1. My knees would always be hitting the underside of the dash panel or the steering column. Otherwise it was comfy!

this car doesnt have any oiling issues when street driving, if your driving it really hard on the street then you might want to add that sort of stuff but the same goes for any car. lots of misinformation out there about it
