BBC has a wonderful series called: A History of Art in Three Colours. The colors are,white, blue, and gold. Interesting, when I asked my students which color should be added to the series, the overwhelming answer is red. You are onto something.
I feel like red is associated with so many intense and meaningful emotions...it's hard to skip over when talking about the history of colors!
Oh! I'll have to see if it's available in America to watch!

I agree with the other comments that this is a great series! Analisa, have you ever read the book, The Secret Lives of Color? It’s a fantastic book that goes in depth about the history of color. So many colors are covered in the book that I have yet to finish it!
