So the Derp Crew decided to head back in time to an Era that wasn't so kind to its Citizen. Where burning witches was legal, and murdering your local jailor wasn't really that frowned upon! We will attempt to deceive, trick, punish, and lie as we attempt to win for our faction and bring glory to our respective cause!
Game Description!
Town of Salem is a browser-based game that challenges players on their ability to convincingly lie as well as detect when other players are lying. The game ranges from 7 to 15 players. These players are randomly divided into alignments - Town, Mafia, Serial Killers, Arsonists and Neutrals. If you are a Town member (the good guys) you must track down the Mafia and other villains before they kill you. The catch? You don't know who is a Town member and who is a villain. If you are an evil role, such as a Serial Killer, you secretly murder town members in the veil of night and try to avoid getting caught.

They're playing it for entertainment, not to try hard and win it. While all your points are completely valid & true, they don't care. Sorry for being harsh though ^-^
This is a complex game and their lives are full of really brief game knowledge. It takes them a while to learn about a game in great detail because they aren't entirely used to memorizing things from them. So, it's understandable that the general let's play community doesn't have good knowledge of games. But, it would be nice if they kept the wiki open so they could quick access that information. It would also be nice if certain information would be kept in a sort of quick access log in game, but that's something to suggest to the game developers.
Demiwolfwood When it comes to roles, I thought it was pretty straightforward. Just read your role card. The only things it makes sense not to know is what's not on your role card, like how SK kills Jailor when jailed and not executed. It's not like Ze hasn't been a Jester before. He should have read his role card. On the Jester role card, it says Neutral Evil, so it should be obvious that they're not town. I get that they're commentating which may interfere with it, but since it's knowledge that helps them with the game they should read the card anyway.

Watching this 7 years later after they've brought back Town of Salem on their channels, and it's amazing when Smarty has to explain who "Ed Shee-ran" is to the group...
Just when I was going to lose all hope of Chilled uploading a Town Of Salem this week, IT HAPPENS. My week is complete.
Smarty's notes as a lookout were utterly useless. xD All he did was list the roles of everyone that died.
Is it just me, or does smartly actually look WAY better with a mustache?

Chilled quick tip: When whispering, you can type /w instead of /whisper, and instead of typing the full name of who you want to whisper, you can put in their number on the role list to the bottom right. (Ex. /w 10 would've worked just as well as /whisper Oliver Robin, it's less liable to typos as well, although I am aware you were counting on that.)

God damn it chilled
So I was playing a game of Town of Salem and I wasn't paying attention and got a random name. My name was John Willard and anyone who has seen my previous posts know that my favorite part about the game is making a witty player name (I.e. Being Adolf Hitler mind controlling Jew Killer to murder Anne Frank *_True Story_*) so I was pretty mad about that and going to just throw the game depending on the role.
The role I got was mayor so I was like perfect a throw-away role. So I say "Fuck you town You guys suck" and then I hit reveal *John Willard reveals himself as mayor* everyone was super pissed off. *Night Cycle occurs* WTF how am I still alive? So I go and start voting people for stupid shit(Voted Bonnie Tyler because I don't like her Music) and the town just followed. And for the rest of the game I was untouchable. I was too valuable an Asset to Arso, Mafia, and SK because I did what they wanted murdered random people. Oddly enough though my Dictatorship worked out and we ended up killing all the evils and by some bullshit we won the game.
And Because of this I realized that I would be a far better President than the current people in the Government so I would like to ask for your support in electing me John Willard as president.

I was playing the game as Nuckelavee the mayor, and my friend was the mafioso, but hates being the mafioso. So, with her selling out her friends, and me disguising it as an anarchy, we hung the mafia, then she attacked the sk, we hung him, then her. I got the achievement for keeping over half the town alive. And so, I wish to run against John Williard. #NuckelaveeFoLyfe
Gavin Mahoney so you cheated....your friend telling you things you wouldn't have other wise known is cheating.,.....unless they did the doushe thing and gave them up in the game in a will which it still lame and unfair to those wanting to play a game.
DragonFox84 but the most annoying thing is, if your fellow mafia rats you out in his will or tell it to the town and quits the game, you just CANT say "he sold out the rest of the mafia, report him!!!" as you would just throw the game as well, so you have to for the rest of the game lie that he was trying to frame all of you.
mimichoo16 well ive had it many times and I reported the one that just sold out. they were mostly the one selling out was just salty about what maf role they had and was like "idont care " etc they said buch of crap then bye then ratted us all out in wills. sure town knows now but its still really unfair to all in game. the game is to find the bad or kill the good etc. its not much of a game when they sell out.
just like cheating. people do Skype or in same room and they just know who their friends are and their roles and they ghost and cheat. I don't know how many times the jailor and gf were friends and jailor purposely threw game. or how the vig knew exactly who to kill etc. you may get lucky sometimes but every single round perfect like they knew with no proof....they couldn't even give any. I want to play a game not cheat or win because most people whine about their role and rage quit.

The trick is to not try too hard. You need to get yourself caught in a lie from early game, not spam until they hang you.
dude i won my most recent jester match by mafia framing me in their wills and framed so then town believed them and hung me so i helped them kill the last town
