What a peaceful time to catch Splash 💦 I am excited for the change, but it is a incredible piece of work from Tony Baxter and all the imagineers that worked on it. Great Update ❗
I don’t know when my next trip to Disneyland will be, but I love getting to take these virtual visits with the greatest host. Thanks, Brickey, for keeping me informed and for keeping the Disney magic alive.
Brickey how much you want to bet that they sell tickets for Fantasmic that allows you to view it from the new Treehouse? Those trees by Pirates, were cut down and shrunk so the views from the treehouse would be improved and setting up for a new way to sell something… Your interest may be lost, but as always, Disney is in the business of the LONG GAME. And that generally leads to ways to make more money 💰. Keep the great content flowing!
Unless the real answer has surfaced, I'm on the roof damage revealed/caused by unusually heavy rain train. That sort of damage would allow the rides to function normally for the most part, but would need to be addressed sooner than later.
Love the interstitial breakdowns from within the land. Can't wait for the Splash centric video. | I'm with you about the Treehouse. I am anxious for it to re-open but really could care less about what it is they're doing with it. Just let me walk up some tree stairs already!!!
I love the outside of splash and the exit area, it’s so beautiful, I hope they don’t ruin it like they did Toontown, I mean I’m not a fan of how they made it seem so closed of now. Thanks for the wonderful vibes.
Thanks for the update. Splash is a beautiful ride. Nostalgic for the memories on Splash AND excited to see Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Maybe Disney is having a contest with themselves…can the tree take longer than Tron? 🙄😉
Looking forward to the designer deep dive on Splash. Seeing Disneyland through someone else's eyes always makes me appreciate it that much more. Also, I'm curious as to what you think will be kept unchanged on the outside of Splash Mountain.
Great video brickey. Loved your take on splash mountain’s legacy. My own feelings towards it are complicated. The decision to make a ride based off song of the south didn’t make sense even then, but Tony Baxter really did build a great ride out of the concept. I’m going to miss it, but it’s a ride that really should have never existed. I hope Disney does right by tiana, it could be great if they give it the budget
Hello! Such a huge fan. Finally going back to the park after 5 or so years. Are you there often? I’d love yo say hello and take a pic if I may :) Thank you for your vids. I am a big fan!! 🎉haha
In WDW our splash is under construction (rip 😢) & our railroad is going strong so far..hope that helps..our railroad runs through splash - they just covered the peek a boo look through..don’t know if it’s similar in DL 🤷🏻♀️
All this tells me is Disneyland really don’t care about people that pay for tickets they close the park early to sell more tickets that night but don’t give you a discount for that day. I was planning a trip but after seeing all this I just said forget it
I am still betting on roof work in the Fantasy land three in one building. Some leak probably started during the storms and they want to fix it during the dry season and before big damage happens.
have you ever thought about doing a interview with a Disneyland 3rd shift custodian i can talk about our job and how important we are to the park and guests let me know id do that for you
The Treehouse remains as a blemish on Adventureland. Would any of the Disney CEOs or presidents leave a hole in their wall at home? It would send a similar message to their visitors.
Well lets hope the treehouse is worth the wait taking so long to retheme it because the treehouse growing up was always so much fun walk through so I hope it is a magical walk through as it once was when it finally reopens also I must say you captured the most beautiful footage of Splash Mountain with all the amazing foliage surrounding such an epic piece of architecture and I can’t wait for you to do an in depth video Splash Mountain also I’ve heard why Disney is retheming it but I was wondering if you could explain the real reason in case I’m wrong also I do hope Fantasmic comes back soon so all the true lovers of Disneyland can enjoy it once again anyway thanks for clarifying some unanswered questions now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Brickey and I’ll see you on the next awesome Hey Brickey adventure peace ☮️ out ✌️
One thing I know Walt Disney is Denney from Missouri some of main street usa looks like st Louis doring the 1904 world fair and summer Olympics during that year only thing it it needs a place theater before you get to the castle
were not allowed to clean flume rides or high speed roller coasters we cant clean the track but we do clean the ride vehicles like space mountain rockets, big thunder we don't clean the Matterhorn vehicles because they are working on them or removing them with the crane Disneyland 3rd shift custodians have been struct by space mountain rocket and cast member drowned in splash mountain stuck under the log so for our safety we cant clean those attractions like i said before the time we clock in till the time we clock out our lives are in danger cleaning the attractions but im glad i was part of the team to bring the magic to the guests
@@J_Pike your welcome I'm honored to be chosen to make the magic with my amazing team we are a Disney family we help each other every night with details we never ever not finish the detail every night given to us by our managers 3rd shift hardly ever gets recognized its mostly day shift with the white costumes but they don't clean the park they only up keep what 3rd shift has already done my friends ask me all the time why do you like cleaning Disneyland I tell them this where can you work and see things Disneyland is very magical you have to work for the corporation to really feel the magic I love Disneyland I love my job
I have zero interest in the treehouse attraction -- other than whether or not they'll include an alternate experience for those who cannot easily traverse stairs. Obviously pandemic-related staffing and supply shortages affected the construction but... I figure they also had to tear open and rebuild the base of the tree to fit in an alternate experience, further extending construction time.
He said the keyword when trying to avoid his political take on the attraction; grievance. Grievance studies in academia have made it a point to show just how racist America is after decades and centuries of us actually trying to reduce racism. It's a step back to dwell on it, but the more they get people to think about it the more power they get. It's about power, not solidarity or equality. And power corrupts absolute. Disney is going to close a beloved attraction based on African American & Caribbean folk tales and cover it up with a European fairytale (The Frog Prince) they decided to play blackface with. Think about that for a moment. Why wouldn't our society encourage and appreciate the former? Instead we're trying to mask it and pretend it never existed. It's really a shame, and you can tell it's a bad idea from where the activism is coming from. The youth has really pushed this idea and you have to be honest with yourself.. when has the youth ever come up with anything but a bad or ineffective idea?
Im happy to know I’m not the only adult who’s loves the Disneyland park !!! I love the little fun facts. Thanks! 🤠🤙
I would pay to go on a walking tour around the park with you! You know so much history and point out details that everyone else ignores!
Fantasmic is my favorite nighttime show at Disneyland and at WDW resorts
Good update. Thanks!
Thank you for the deep dive into Splash Mountain. I’m looking forward to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
9 more sleeps and this girl gets to do a lap and 🤞 I get to say “Hey Brickey” Happy Sunday from 🇨🇦
Another perfect time capsule that will be wonderful to look at in years to come
I love the deep dive into the concept art. It really helps me understand what I am even looking at.

Hooray for the update! I love these videos. They feel calming, like a meditation and an opportunity to hear about the beauty and the magic.
I don’t know when my next trip to Disneyland will be, but I love getting to take these virtual visits with the greatest host. Thanks, Brickey, for keeping me informed and for keeping the Disney magic alive.
Your design eye is what makes you special. That’s your brand. Thank you for the great content!

Enjoying all your details…..especially the pure
esthetics. Ups my enthusiasm to get there (with my son, JJP) and be more aware of everything. Thanks!

Great update Brickey! 😊
Really love this style where you walk around and point out the design and details. Fantastic design perspective and enjoy this so much! Thanks again
I really liked the dive into the Splash Mountain design. Looking forward to a deeper look at the queue and ride!
Glad to see the updates back! Nobody goes into such design detail like you do!
Super secret fact - that pond near the hub holds all the water for Flush-Ings in DCA
So good, this comment 🤘😆🏆

Same, Coco! I just want to walk the stairs and be in that tree!! 🌳
Saturday morning and a Brickey update? Just what i needed to kick off my weekend.

Can’t wait to see what they do with Tianas Bayou adventure
The Tianas restaurants on the the cruise ships are very disappointing. Mediocre food quality and dismal selection is the consensus.
Love an update
Yikes. Seems for sure start and finish Peter Pan first. But this way makes it seem more mysterious.

I’d guess that, no matter what, they’ll use Murphy 2.0 as a release event. Similar to delaying Tron, Magic Happens, etc.

Smashing update!
Splash Mountain is an impressive attraction with a story to tell. Sorry it will be changed just because. All stories need to be told.

Lift up the AC gas paks and re-seal and reroof the building.

I love New Orleans Square New Orleans is a city like Saint Louis before the arch

Well said. Great observation. 🤞when it comes back I hope it is another example of how amazing the Imagineers can be.
What does S.E.A stand for? Regarding the tree house.
The flag is Louisiana’s state flag.
😃❤
I am NEVER going to forgive Disney for retheming Splash Mountain. On a side note, I think the "Tiana's Bayou Adventure" name sucks!
Where’s the “inclusivity” for my Asian daughter? They should re-theme Space Mountain to a Mulan attraction
