WF-1000XM3 for me too. Loved the sound but I experienced a lot of interference in busy malls they are unusable. Once every few minutes. Trying to return them.
IIRC, i think the XM3 is Sony's 2nd after the WF-1000X. It's named Mark 3 after the WH cousin as it is using same ANC chip as WH-1000XM3.

Those earphones are SBC/AAC only, not worth for those who enjoy music.
@@philipcooper8297 I'm not an audiophile (though I do enjoy music), and probably would be happy with airpods, except they don't fit my ears at all. Plus, the reviews from over at head-fi and many said sound is pretty good, despite the lack of aptX and LDAC. We'll see when mine arrive in a few weeks
@@sosurim If you ever make a direct comparison SBC vs LDAC (even Aptx HD) you won't go back to SBC. Also, many people are deaf and/or paid to make good reviews. It's not about being audiophile, the difference between LDAC/AptX HD and SBC/AAC is like going from 4K to 720p in video terms. Even a regular person (not audiophile) can tell there is a huge difference. You notice that even with lower bitrate (sub 320kpbs) mp3 files.
On the other hand, it is understandable, that earphones do not support higher end bluetooth codecs, because there's just not enough room for the chip and antena in those.

I agree, if noise canceling is your thing ....... then ....... over head headphones are the way to go

Not even close...no comparison...the over the ear blows these away
Can we get a follow up review please? Do they hold up well in the gym due to no ipx rating?
I'd say so, but you might need to press them in your ears a few times so they don't pop out. I sweat a lot while mowing the lawn and such and nothing happened to them.

After watching all the reviews on these I was so excited to get them to replace my Apple AirPods first gen. I feel the sound is cleaner with the Sony but the volume is no where near the volume of the AirPods. Do you think I have a bad pair of Sony’s? I want volume from my earbuds.
I had the same problem. On your iPhone you need to go into setting scroll down to music and click on volume. Make sure it turned all the way up. But make sure your volume is halfway before you click music volume.

almost any pair of earbuds sounds better after the airpods...I am seriously thinking about getting this to replace my E8...also thinking about Sennheiser, Klipsch and E8 version 2...

Have to say, the sound quality (once tweaked in the Sony app) is outstanding. You'd be hard-pressed to find better. On the volume comments, you can adjust this in the Sony app and I'd be really surprised if you can listen on anywhere near full volume (plenty loud enough on 60 - 80% on my Galaxy S8)
I am underwhelmed by the noise-cancelling however and if this is your main reason for buying them, I'd spend the extra bucks on the WHs. The WFs don't come close.
And I don't think these are supposed to come close. They're good for people who do want the noise canceling feature, but without the bulk
I have to say having played around with the different tips, the foamy ones made a big difference to noise cancelling. They're great headphones
I agree with you the convenience of the AirPods are great. Quick charging, small case that sits in my pocket. And convenient that same lighting plug can charge up pod. But yes much spill as you call it. Depending on situation its good that I can still what’s going on but someone next to you like on airplane they definitely let a lot of sound out and do not keep all that noise out. I have the Bose over the ear one for flying but they are definitely something that has to be packed. So convenient they are not. Had another blue tooth ear bud one but charging means another cord to keep track of. And they did not have great charge time. But these seem to have a real good run time. Like to see if true and the other thing is on the Sony page it say that they have Quick Attention and Wearing Detection so you can have a conversation. But you were saying having a conversation was difficult. So what’s the quick detection mode and wearing detection???? Thanks, enjoying the channel...
I have had them for almost 2 months, and they are fantastic in my opinion. The sound quality is indeed fantastic, and the design and build quality feel premium. Battery life is also very good.
I am in a huge dilemma. Please advice.
My needs:
I need ANC for studying and travelling by public transport. I value good sound quality.
I work out at the gym alot, and need ear buds that i can use there as well with good sound.
I bought the WF 1000XM3 and i really do enjoy them. I wanted a headset i could use all around. But i feel like i am missing out on the bigger and better music experience from the big brother.
Option 1: Keep my WF 1000X M3 and use them all around. They have decent ANC and good sound and i feel secure using them in the gym as well.
Option 2: Return them and get the big brother WH 1000X M3 and buy a cheaper truly wireless headset for the gym with IPX rating as well.
What is your experince in regards to difference in sound quality and ANC. Which option would you go for?
Sony WH-CH700N if you're on budget, otherwise go WH-1000XM3 for the best ANC and wireless sound (LDAC/Aptx HD).
Can you hook up more than one Bluetooth device at the same time. Can you be connected to your laptop and then receive a call on your phone without manually switching?

Hi I just wanna ask, I already have a Beats studio 3 and it has a very bad Noise cancelling feature... Which has a better noise cancelling the studio 3 or the sony WF 1000 xm3?
For perfect sound isolation try comply eartips especially like me I with over size ear canals
I compared the Bose QC30 and these WF1000XM3 to see which one I would keep. The Bose worked great, but the accompanying app was limited to just having a noise canceling adjustment. Sony sounds great and are comfortable on the ears. Sony also comes with its audio app which gives me the ability to make custom eq adjustments. I highly recommend these for listening to Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of The Moon”
Which ones are more comfortable in your opinion? Feel like the airpods are, cause they don’t go in your ear whereas in ears tend to get uncomfortable after a little while (most of the time)

I really like the ambient sound mode so I don't need to pop them out of my ears to talk. Those ANC trips me out, you cant even hear yourself breathing.
Hey where can I buy this? They seem to be sold out. How do these compare with the powerbeats pro. I own these and the bass sounds great. Would you say these are better than the powerbeats pro?
A nearby dealer is listing SONY WF-1000XM3 in black (€249) and silver/gray (€199). Is the 'paint job' worth the extra €50 or am I missing some aspects of the specs?
The ANC feature on Sony is perfect!
I return these earbuds. Sound is really great, no doubt about that. But for me, they sit horrible in my ear, after sometime it hurts even a bit. And come on, not water resistant? I live in the Netherlands and sometimes it rains... I will wait for the next gen from Sony or Sennheiser.
Airpods is earbud, and its not creating any seal in your ear canal.
WF-1000xm3 is an IEM, and it is creating a seal in your ear canal

After I listen to the Sony I will never go back to my AirPods. The sound quality of Sony is awesome! I very glad I bought the Sony WF 1000XM3. The best Christmas gift for myself.
I was so close to buying these but if the absolute rubbish airpods are louder than these then I can't consider getting the sonys....if u have tried the sennheiser momentum tws ,how loud Do they get ...i know they sound gr8 but just like u I like my music loud....plz let me know

Mpow flame 2 can do that. But both phones will take turn to produce sound every few seconds.

The WH's for sure. The buds are cool but the larger headphones rock.

The sound is so great, but for comunicating is bad one, the sound unclear. Bose still the best choice for tws. I hv both of them

Hated the look and feel of these in ear for long periods of time
I ended up returning them and got the Jaybird Vistas and they fit way better
I was the opposite. I got the vistas first, and just didn't like how they felt. I also didn't like the sound, so I swapped them for this.
The sennheisers are better quality and fit better

More like blew your eardrums. The "crisp" "clean" sound he's talking about is a 10 decibel treble boost at 10, 15 and 20 Khz. These things are treble canons and no one seems to notice. After a loud listening session everything in the real world sounds dull because you fried your high treble receptors.
So I bought these. Loved them at first. But I'm having an issue which I'm not sure if it's a built in or just broken.
My left and right ear buds work fine together as well as when the right ear bud is in the case, the left one works still. However if the left is in the case, the right does not connect nor can I do anything. Is this a limitation of the earbuds or should i return and get a new pair.
when i got mine at first we hve same issue, but i just got surprise that i can use them independently.
If u hold down the touchpad for 20 sec while in charging case it will reset them. It fixed my prob and havent had a issue since

Did you return them? Try Sony support on Facebook via Messenger they tried to help me and they kinda confirmed that there are faulty series of these...
1. They falling, not fit properly
2. High and mids needs to be more louder, eq dont help much.
3. Not waterproof

Exactly. Mine maybe 3hours but still very bad and charging takes maybe half of their ON time and that's not acceptable for me.
It silly reviewing sound out of the box.... Mine didn't really come alive until about a week of use

Whilst I love the sound, I just can’t keep them in my ears, tried all fittings. Can’t wear them to the gym or walking. Buyer beware.
I think it depends on the user's ear shape. I have no problem wearing them at all while walking and traveling. 😊
Thank you. I ALWAYS get this problem, so i keep watching reviews to see if people say they fall out. But most reviewers seem to just sit there and say look, they dont fall out. But i find all earbuds too big for my ear canals, they just pop out and fall on the ground all the time.
These sound great but, they wouldn’t fit my ears. Also, where’s the noise cancelling ? I couldn’t tell the difference with noise cancelling on or off. I returned mine.

all perfect...but for workouts....
I just got these for working out only (my ears don't sweat). They stayed in place perfectly for 2 hours. The sound was extremely nice. BTW, in Sony's own manual for these, they talk of shaking out moisture from the mic holes and keeping moisture off the contacts when putting them away. So it seems that even if not officially IPX rated, they can handle a degree of moisture.
