This is very helpful. I am Sydney Harbour based and researching a luxury yatch cruise business. Coming from the F-Line 33 to a Riva Mare perhaps. I have about a hundred questions. You’ve answered some of them. Thank you. Keep posting.

What is the broker's role if looking to buy a new/custom yacht?

Great question! As a yacht broker, my role when helping someone buy a new or custom yacht is far more than just facilitating a transaction. I immerse myself daily in the market, keeping abreast of the latest trends and innovations by connecting directly with shipyards, designers, and maritime experts. This allows me to provide you with tailored advice on everything from the design and customization of your yacht to negotiating the best terms with builders.
I handle the intricate details of the purchase process, including legalities, registrations, and even post-sale configurations. By 'walking the dock' and networking extensively, I ensure that I have the most current and comprehensive understanding of the market. This insight allows me to guide you effectively through the customization of your yacht, ensuring that it not only meets your needs but also holds its value in the future.
In essence, my role is to be your expert guide, advocate, and negotiator, turning your vision into a reality while navigating the complexities of yacht acquisition. It’s about leveraging my network and knowledge to serve you better. So, when you choose to work with a broker like me, you’re not just getting a middleman-you're gaining a dedicated partner in your yachting journey.

I've been researching for several years now. I'm just waiting to hit the lottery so I can finally decide which one to buy. 😂

you don't need to hit the lottery to go yachting. I've met many people with little to no means that liven yachts. in fact, they live n their yacht and travel from place to place and work along the way and they dont'leave until they can afford to. it's a nomadic lifestyle that's existed since before the history books. people having been sailing for a long time trust me.

(Everything I said is meant to be funny and not to be taken seriously) If you like Riva and Pardo, but want a bigger yacht with more luxury then Aicon is the best bet for a yacht. Then if you want a superyacht, Mengi Yay. Those are the nicest yachts for interior wise. Then if you want luxury and quality..Burger. Wnat to go passage making and exploring, Bering, Numarine, CdM. Don't give a damn about your crew and want a boat with issues, hey Sanlorenzo is for you. Want to burn an oil field every time you go out because you want to go fast, Pershing is for you. Want to go fast in a big yacht that's luxurious too...Heesen. Want to make it seem like you are an experienced yacht owner, Feadship. Actually know what you want, Van DerWalk, but you have mob connections, Lurssen, Abeking and Rasmussen maybe. You're over 50, drive an Aston-Martin and your idea of yachting is sipping wine while sitting at a port in France...Benetti or Palmer Johnson. You're under 40 and single by choice but want to get a yacht full of hot women...Sunseeker or Princess. You're under 30, married with no kids and cheat on your wife...Tecnomar. You're under 30,married with kids and want to explore the Bahamas for the month you have off...Fairline. But you have Daddy's money...Absolute. But you want to explore the Galapagos, Belize and Brazil...Sirena. You want to do that but Daddy only gave you 200 million.. Kingship or Gulfcraft. You want to go around the world with your wife and kids and you won the largest Powerball ever...Damen SeaXplorers, Icon, Bering, or Nordhavn. But you know you can't handle a Drake Shake heading to Antarctica and need an excuse so you blame the yacht...ISA. You really wamt to go around the world and go everywhere, Cheoy Lee, in luxury...Picchiotti.
