Speaking of excellent defense, let's give a round of applause to Iggy and his constant effort on the defensive end. One of my favourite players in the league.
+dpistons149 the heart part comes in when iggy is not only 5 years older then durant. He is also around 4 inches shorter as iggy is 6'6" and durant is around 6'10" (yes he's listed as 6'9" but everyone knows by know he's taller then he says he is). That what is incredible the fact that iggy poured his heart out to guard one of the best scorer's in the NBA while being older and smaller.
+Connor Mead lol you tried.Iduodala has been a very good player for a very long time, finals mvp last year.He didn't make any plays that we would be shocked for him to make.
8:11 that was a cool move there by curry. You can see why ibaka couldnt block it. It was like a fadeaway layup at the last second but ibaka jumped to contest it as if it was going to be a routine layup attempt.
KD at 4:22 of the video lmao... Curry and Klay were absolutely insane in this comeback just launching from anywhere... but my dear lord KD and Westbrook were so shook in the last few mins. Curry and Klay just composed, chillin, tossing 3’s in like the basket was the size of the ocean
To be fair their teammates aren't exactly offensive power houses and OKC's offense has always been, KD takes a turn, Westbrook takes a turn. It's part of the reason they gave up so many close games that season, teams could focus heavily on those two and they'd still take contested shots.
That Thompson shot to make it 92-96 is just insane. 5 feet behind the line, feet not even close to being set and all net. It is crazy that okc was in command for most of the game and should have led by 20 at the half if durant played just ok. The 3point discrepency was brutal and igoudala played great on defense at the end. Can't imagine OKC recovering from this as they are mentally and physically drained. OKC is really close but the difference is better (late game) execution on offense and discipline. OKC has made tremendous strides on both ends in this regard but they still seem to be missing that final step to win a championship.
Thunder lost cause Klay was the best player in that game. Klay literally went Super Saiyan mode. Steph finished the game for the Dubs, but Klay was literally unstoppable and Klay had a mindset that they were going to win that game no matter what even if he had to put the dubs on his back and carry them over the finishline.
@Tevarious Tyner Of course nobody on the team wanted to go home, but if you watch the game Klay is the main reason the Dubs won. I watched that game live too.
I'm almost at the point where I don't think KD will win a ring unless he plays in a team that forces ball movement, like the Spurs or Warriors. Every year it boils down to him in iso trying to shoot over multiple defenders and coming up short. And OKC don't change or tweak it, it clearly is in their players' DNA. That's not a knock against them - under Mark Jackson, the Warriors were very similar - but it just isn't working and unless they hire a coach who will not take no for an answer or KD leaves, I just see the pattern repeating. Not cos Durant chokes or isn't great anything like that, but if the defense knows that either he or Russ are gonna have iso plays down the stretch, then top defenses can overcome that. It's too much for one player to do
Man, your right. Can't argue there. But I like KD, and hope he gets his ring, but it takes time. Dirk had to wait along time and things had to fall into place. Win or not I don't take anything away from his greatness
***** Lol I was worried in first half I was gonna look very foolish. But yeah more of the same, and I can't help but think that with a 3-1 lead knowing what got them the lead, to still lose like this with hero ball, KD might just think that this team can't win and leave
TELEthruVOXx Yeah maybe but I don't think that solves their problems. They have a deep bench and although they do argue at times, I'm not sure what difference a vet makes tbh. For me, with a newish coach and Russ being there, the same pattern will repeat itself, and from the way the game ended I think KD for the first time thought this team/style may not be enough to win. There were no injuries, they had a lead, playing possibly at their peak and they still lost. I think he's the type of guy who if he's staying, especially with the way they lost - he'd have said it in the post game presser. Or hinted it at least. But rather than a feeling of unfinished business, it felt like the end of a chapter
When I woke up hungover as shit and saw this video uploaded on Memorial Day, I was not prepared for the repercussions that were about to follow. I instantly felt my patriotism begin to rise. I walked outside to see at least 100 bald eagles soaring over my house. Their screeches synchronized to play the national anthem and a cold budweiser appeared in my hand. I knew what I had to do. I shotgunned the beer, ran straight to my grill and began to grill ribeye steaks and pork ribs. I polished off a 24 pack of cold ones while waiting for my meat to cook and then devoured the entire pile of heated flesh. "USA USA USA" I heard my neighbor begin to chant as he had watched this entire event unravel and this was all before I even put pants on.
group effort really. his defense down the stretch was huge but so was Klay's shooting and even Curry had a few buckets in the last 5min that either cut the lead or tied the game. hell even greens missed foul call came at the right time.
Everyone will talk about the great 4th quarter by klay, and rightfully so, but man Iggy's active hands on defense were incredible. Awesome, textbook D.
And yet they're rated as two of the top 5 players in the league. The amount of mistakes and lack of fundamentals they displayed when the lights are on is just astronomical. It's just disgusting to watch them try to carry their team when they're in a dire situation against real competition. They're better off on a championship contending team with a great structure and reliable leaders to allow them to step back and play a smaller but much more efficient role. Non of them are floor generals. Non of them are championship caliber play-makers who can lead and be dependable in hard times. They need to be in a team with a system and structure to cover their flaws and still make use as much of their best qualities.
Great video. Noticed an editing mistake at the two minute minute mark, it's the second clip. The audio repeats it self. Thought you might want to know. Again, great video and can't wait for the one after tonight's game.
Hey guys, Coach puts in a lot of time into these videos so let's do what we can and take a little of our time to vote for his team to thank him for his work! Thanks for the breakdown Coach Nick!
All I can say about this game is that Warriors plays very beautiful basketball, ball movement and player movement every single play unlike OKC who were very stagnant at the end so players can double and triple team KD. It's the coach, systems and lazy players fault. Credit also to Thompson's big shot after big shot, Iggy's super elite defense & Curry's dagger at the end.
This is the first video of your's I saw, and it's an instant subscription. I hope you can get your marketing to the level of your content so more people access it. The ability to effortlessly describe so much unseen (by me) activity while both strengthening my understanding of the game and creating an amazing summary of a particular game is just awesome. Highlights aren't shit compared to this.
could you please reupload game 4 of 2011 playoffs between mavs and blazers because nba has it blocked and that is probably my favourite game. i looked everywhere online and everytime i tried to watch it, it was via youtube and the video wasnt able to play. i would be really happy if you could do that
If you want the Thunder to win in the 48th minute, the game has to become 52 minutes and if you want Thunder to win 4 games in a series the series has to be 9 games. When it's clutch time they just make bad choice after bad choice. What's with those bullshit forced iso plays and shaky passes? And in general in this game KD and Westbrook took it upon thenselves way too much once again, there is more talent in the team than just those two that goes to waste. It feels like a regression, after the game 3 vs Spurs it really felt like they transformed for the better and learned their lesson. Let's see how they will approach and most importantly how they will close out game 7. If Golden State with that hurt Stephen Curry wins 4-3 after being down 1-3 I don't believe this OKC team will ever win a ring (the squad might even split up).
theo7 You called it! OKC has yet to get past the first round with Durant gone. Even though they have PG-13, Russell is still playing as though he truly believes that averaging a triple double will help his team when in fact it hurts them.
Louis Williams Actually, I think their 2016 squad came pretty close to matching that 2012 team, plus they were more experienced. But KD and Westbrook went back to playing hero ball.
DonKrieg95 Exactly. On top of the hero ball, there were way too many mistakes and lack of effort on defense. Westbrook was out of position on almost half of the Warriors made FGs. ua-cam.com/video/dbM48NeCyqc/v-deo.html
Domantas Don't be so sure. Cleveland started running some solid sets on the way to the finals. Pace and space, lots of horns wrinkles and twists that give Lebron and Kyrie space to operate and involves Love more often an frequent. They're actually running more Blatt-style offense with Lue as the head coach.
I was watching this game and at 6:59 I don't know how Russ, Mr. Triple Double, does not see an open running man ?? that could have drastically changed the final minute
That tap on Westbrook's arm should have been Draymond's 6th as well. I know earlier in the game Curry also got tapped by Roberson in the arm and if he maintained all his fouls, he would be out as well. Regardless that is definitely a missed call. I also saw Barnes set what looked like an illegal screen to get Ibaka switched on to Curry as well for that dagger teardrop. Talk about a bad break.
Draymond got aweful calls against him too. Like when he stripped the ball cleanly from Durant. Officiating these games is extremily hard. Bad calls will be made.
you just can't blame kd for this. the plays given to him didn't have enough space for him to operate. no shooting threats were displayed by teammates allowing warriors to quickly double him on the iso.
ThatGuy69 XD They did, but I am impressed by the Warriors for the way they came back in the OKC series. Also, the Warriors will get another chance to get another championship next season. KD will hopefully fit in the Warriors' style of basketball, and the Warriors can hopefully fix some of their flaws on the defensive end and Turnovers. So, if you wanted me to be upset, it was not the best attempt on your behalf, but nice try though. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
If you look at the stats sheets, you'll see that KD and Russ played 43 and 44 minutes. There seemed to be mistakes due to fatigue down the stretch. Otherwise, they had a great game, keeping Golden state in the cables, leading the game up until the last minutes. It's the first time in the playoff that they choke in the fourth quarter(they did drop 15 games like that during the season). Great effort by the Warriors, there not used to be behind during almost a whole game and they found a way to win. Iguodala's defence was awesome and Klay was deadly on offense. That long 3 with the "wrong" foot in front was special...
So will the Warriors. It will be an interesting game: Warriors have the momentum on their side as they avoided losing 2 times. And the Thunder will be extremely motivated to close out the series. The Thunder have proven to beat Warriors at the Oracle arena, however, the home crwod could also be an advantage. It could go either way. I say 55:45 in favor of the Warriors, because of their home crowd. It will go down to a few little decisions to determine the winner.
Really? In a game 7 at home the visitor almost ALWAYS loses, more like 75:25 Warriors not 55:45. Chokelahoma has been on a 2 game losing streak and Golden State has been on a 2 game winning strak plus the home court advantage, I'm not calling it but I'm just saying the Warriors have put themselves in a very good position
Flak & Shrapnel I would rate GSW higher, but OKC has proven to be able to win at the Oracle Arena. They have Westbrook and Durant, and although they weren´t at their best for the last two games, they can be devastating. But like I said, GSW have the momentum, but still, anything can happen. Every team needs everyone to perform, or else it is over.
The warriors will probably win since its at home for game 7, that's an insane comeback credit has to be given to the warriors, 2016 champs(if thunder win then there champs I don't think cavs can win)
Both happened. Green's reach in was not why he dribbled it off his own leg, he was sloppy. But at the end of the day, Green still reached and missed. Should of been a foul.
It seems like the third TO Westbrook had should have been given to Durant. That pass to Westbrook when WB was 2-3 feet away from him seemed really ill-advised and I think Durant should have gotten the turnover. Excellent breakdown as always Coach!!!
I gotta question. So at 7:46 when draymond hit it outta russ hand, does that count as back court? No one touch it besides draymond when he hit it and it was recovered be the warriors backcourt. If its not a backcourt can someone explain why
Game 5 Westbrook was overdribbling and turning the ball over for ez g state runouts Game 6 Russ got rid of the ball quicker to start the offense, but Durant took to may bad shots. OKC was at their best when Russ was attacking the rim, and OKC was getting ez putbacks. OKC needs to rest their stars a little bit, so they have energy for the 4rth quarter. Foye is playing very well and needs some more playing time. Collison needs a few minutes. I just think OKC runs out of gas in the 4rth quarter. Going 1 on 1 vs iguduola is ineffective, his defense is outstanding. Thes refs need to call the defensive holds, and moving screens
Speaking of excellent defense, let's give a round of applause to Iggy and his constant effort on the defensive end. One of my favourite players in the league.
he just gets the job done. no questions asked
In SOOOO many key games, Iggy stripped the ball at a critical moment in the game. He has AMAZING hands. The Warriors sure miss him.
"In close games, OKC will present opportunities for their opponents to take the game."
Coach u mean they fcking choke
廖俊翔 lmao he’s being modest and objective in his analysis
@@yarapah Yet people still think he is a hater lmao.
The heart shown by Iguodala. That is so inspiring.
He made some some nice defensive plays.Relax
russ almost kicked him. where is the outcry
+dpistons149 the heart part comes in when iggy is not only 5 years older then durant. He is also around 4 inches shorter as iggy is 6'6" and durant is around 6'10" (yes he's listed as 6'9" but everyone knows by know he's taller then he says he is). +Connor Mead lol you tried.Iduodala has been a very good player for a very long time, finals mvp last year.He didn't make any plays that we would be shocked for him to make.
He was the difference maker. Klay hit 11 3s, but that clutch tough finish and 2 defensive stops put the icing on the cake for them
With all this top quality free content you put out. There's no way I couldnt vote. Good luck in the tournament coach!
Thunder lost cause Russ an KD stopped trusting they teammates an tried to do it all by themsevles again
That simple eh, guess i don't need to watch the 9 min video
+Michael Sun lol
their decision making as well. absolutely horrible
To be fair their teammates aren't exactly offensive power houses and OKC's offense has always been, KD takes a turn, Westbrook takes a turn. It's part of the reason they gave up so many close games that season, teams could focus heavily on those two and they'd still take contested shots.

7 years later this is so accurate and hurts even more. Damn we were the best team in the league this year and pissed that shit away
Klay and Curry make every game a disadvantage.
This video just got a shoutout on Bill Simmon's pod. Congrats Coach Nick! Big mention!
David Moore Lol why I’m here
Thunder lost cause Klay was the best player in that game. Klay literally went Super Saiyan mode. @Tevarious Tyner Of course nobody on the team wanted to go home, but if you watch the game Klay is the main reason the Dubs won. I watched that game live too.
The legend of game 6 klay lives on. He turns it on whenever they face elimination, just goes super Sayan.

Ahah man that's a very funny story u wrote their
+Pill Box hater
so excited for game 7!!
iguodala saved this game in my opinion defensively
Klay's clutch shooting and iggy's defense saved them game. Westbrook and Durant's selfishness cost them the game.
and people applauded for curry 🙌
group effort really. his defense down the stretch was huge but so was Klay's shooting and even Curry had a few buckets in the last 5min that either cut the lead or tied the game. hell even greens missed foul call came at the right time.
+gzarza greens missed foul almost evens out all the phantom calls the thunder were getting
I think it started with Klay getting hot from three than everybody else got more energy from that defensively especially Iggy.
Everyone will talk about the great 4th quarter by klay, and rightfully so, but man Iggy's active hands on defense were incredible. Awesome, textbook D.
durant and westbrick are 8-37 with 13 TO in clutch time this post season!!! (under 5 mins left with score within 5)

Great video. Noticed an editing mistake at the two minute minute mark, it's the second clip. The audio repeats it self. Thought you might want to know. Again, great video and can't wait for the one after tonight's game.
Your videos are so sick and good that i HAVE to vote. Seriously !
Hey guys, Coach puts in a lot of time into these videos so let's do what we can and take a little of our time to vote for his team to thank him for his work! Thanks for the breakdown Coach Nick!
you have to register to be able to vote ,thats too much work!

+SouthsideSFG lmmfao. you wrong. Savage!
***** damn bruh. Iggy slander will not be tolerated

Curry could've got Barnes with the corner three and caught Russ sleeping
If your talking about at 4 minutes left in the game I saw it also but that looks to be an insanely difficult pass.
when? 8:08? I agree. Russ had a complete mental breakdown due to EXHAUSTION i think.
he still scored
+Mikail Kutoglu Waiters, you are thinking of the wrong person sir. With that being said, glad to see that Curry closed the game.
So Barnes could throw up another brick!!!🤣
In the last 30 secs. you can hear a girl crying saying "no, no, no....." had me laughing the whole time. 😂
this is a good video all okc have to do is play smart and things will come in place and just know the way they beat 3 games they can do it again

Love your videos, keep doing what you're doing
i miss this lineup .. 😭
In my opinion.this series is the finals in 2016.
wong kabow lmao the finals was the finals in 2016. The finals was way better
This was a better breakdown than the last one!
I can't look at Varejao and not think about the free ring he's going to get, thanks cavs.
Fasholy, he's gonna leak every secret the Cavs have in the playbook.
Not much to leak, give Bron the ball.
Domantas Don't be so sure. Cleveland started running some solid sets on the way to the finals. Pace and space, lots of horns wrinkles and twists that give Lebron and Kyrie space to operate and involves Love more often an frequent. ***** True, we'll see how the finals go, i'm not sure who has the upper hand, but gsw have the momentum after this 3 game comeback.
I noticed that too. It's going to be a great series! Finally, two best teams going at each other at full strength
That last play tells you about OKCs trust issues, what a shity way of losing a game at home.
"I suppose it's natural for the thunder to revert to their old iso ways" coach nick XD
Thanks for posting best detail of best game ever !! 🙆🏻
i tweeted you and ask "you saw the last 5minutes in 4thQ right?"
as always awesome breakdowns coach!
Game 6 was honestly the most tense game.. and the do or die for okc. Everyone new who'd win game 7
Omg the team was clutch
Great video coach keep it up!
I was watching this game and at 6:59 I don't know how Russ, Mr. Triple Double, does not see an open running man ?? that could have drastically changed the final minute
good one! thanx coach!
THANKS!!
this game was epic, and you gotta love iggy
That shot that klay shot at 2:40 is a great shot to catch a defender sleeping and is sometimes i use it
Yea. When they don't put there hand up, fire it up in they ass.
I love that shot
Thanks coach

you just can't blame kd for this. the plays given to him didn't have enough space for him to operate. no shooting threats were displayed by teammates allowing warriors to quickly double him on the iso.

6:53, that's the moment they lost KD
If you look at the stats sheets, you'll see that KD and Russ played 43 and 44 minutes. There seemed to be mistakes due to fatigue down the stretch. Otherwise, they had a great game, keeping Golden state in the cables, leading the game up until the last minutes. It's the first time in the playoff that they choke in the fourth quarter(they did drop 15 games like that during the season). Great effort by the Warriors, there not used to be behind during almost a whole game and they found a way to win. Iguodala's defence was awesome and Klay was deadly on offense. That long 3 with the "wrong" foot in front was special...
they tried to choke away game 1 against the warriors and game 5 against the thunder
As a thunder fan i still can't believe this meltdown, so sad
Great.
Voted.
Awesome, thanks so much!!!
The night when Westbrook ate what he said "A shooter cannot beat us".
hoping the warriors can pull this out! the thunder will be gunning for it
So will the Warriors.
Flak & Shrapnel
I would rate GSW higher, but OKC has proven to be able to win at the Oracle Arena. They have Westbrook and Durant, and although they weren´t at their best for the last two games, they can be devastating.
But like I said, GSW have the momentum, but still, anything can happen. Every team needs everyone to perform, or else it is over.
+epicDuftbaum They haven't proven they can do it twice.
Unfortunately, out of 124 Game 7's, the Home court Team won 80% of the time. 100 out of 124 won, which is a horrible statistic for OKC
The warriors will probably win since its at home for game 7, that's an insane comeback credit has to be given to the warriors, 2016 champs(if thunder win then there champs I don't think cavs can win)
Didn't realize Green hit Russel's arm. I just thought Westbrook dribbled it off his own leg.
Both happened. Green's reach in was not why he dribbled it off his own leg, he was sloppy. But at the end of the day, Green still reached and missed. Should of been a foul.
But the decision to try and drive it was problematic to begin with
Plus the refs were giving draymond bad calls so that evened it out.
Tre B
True, his last 2 fouls were completely imaginary.
globalicon2012 wtf
It seems like the third TO Westbrook had should have been given to Durant. That pass to Westbrook when WB was 2-3 feet away from him seemed really ill-advised and I think Durant should have gotten the turnover. Excellent breakdown as always Coach!!!
I am so pumped for game 7 :D
When you're super stoked to watch it but then you realize that you live in Europe where it airs at 3AM on a Wednesday
Sigh :(
That one guy Hahahah same here :D still pumped :D
great thant's
Even Brian Scalabrine voted for you... that's when you know this team is legit
Haha, not sure it's the real Scalabrine, but we'll see
Oh, it wasn't haha, just found the real one on Twitter. Would have been awesome though
Classic Russel Westbrook team 4th quarter
i love seeing all those OKC fans with their hands on their heads and sad sad faces.
thanks coach!
eastbayej same for the chokeland state larriors that blew a 3-1 lead
I tried to vote but couldn't find any vote button
Man.....with Ibaka, KD, Russ, Waiters, Oladipo, Adams. OkC was the superteam.
GG, double butt pats all around
What program you used to do the slow motion
Now i rewatch this video, it's so clear that KD with multiple turnovers to cause them lose in both game 5 &6
LETS GET GAME 7 WARRIORS!
Russell's clutch time decision making is so terrible lmao.....MVP my ass
I gotta question. So at 7:46 when draymond hit it outta russ hand, does that count as back court? No one touch it besides draymond when he hit it and it was recovered be the warriors backcourt. If its not a backcourt can someone explain why
He didn't have possession of the ball. It was OKC's ball at midcourt. Barnes just happened to be at backcourt when he caught it so no violation there.
This got reccommended to me when the thunder beat tbe warriors yesterday 😂 and im a warriors fan
klay saved them that game and alot of that series watched it all live but klay literally saved them that game curry was clutch the last 5 min
This only was about iguodala crazy defense
Game 5 Westbrook was overdribbling and turning the ball over for ez g state runouts
Game 6 Russ got rid of the ball quicker to start the offense, but Durant took to may bad shots.
0:30 Remember, you have time until Wednesday, my dudes...
Don't wait til then!!! bit.ly/1XWozMS
coach im right that kd always drive to his left and drive most of the time. BUT if you give him his right he will just pull up js most of the time
They should tie game 7 and team up against Bron Bron and Co.
It would be the brightest team ever.
Rip Kobe Bryant
Last time it was down to the wire in the regular season Curry dropped bombs off of Iggy's clutch moments, same as in this game. Coincidence?
He will probably go to the warriors now. Remember me for I predicted it a year early
Man, it's criminal that they didn't use Steph's guy to set screens.
I can't watch this yawl. Kd was talking to the enemy after the games. Sellout!!!
