Good question, I don't know. Sometimes they are noisy like this, sometimes not.
Maybe because the RS3 only has ceramic breakes at the front? I can't tell whether the sounds are coming from the front or the rear, but it rather sounds like a sports steel disc breaking.

@@DrivingCars you lay it down easily on the lock then you press it and it will give a very satisfying click sound. I enjoyed the video.

@@DrivingCars yes I have driven them both here in Australia. The Elantra N (i30n sedan) has way more feel and feedback . The rs3 does what you ask of it , it's incredibly fast takes corners beautifully but in a mechanical soulless fashion whilst sounding like a bee hive. If I'm paying that kind of cash I want it put into drivers feel and less in luxury. I'd take the Elantra N over and over and not just from a value proposition.
Considering you're based in EU from what it looks like I doubt you've even driven the i30n sedan ( doesn't exist there) which drives way better than the older platform the i30n hatch uses.
@@mharro88oesnt matter if it is the i30n hatch, fastback or elantra they dont stand a chance in comparison to a RS3
Not in Performance, not in having that fart sound and especially not being front wheel drive which is trash for european weather anyway
But They are both fun cars, altough the only real rival is the a45
Srovnávat N s RS3 je poněkud chucpe. Když nic jiného, tak jen zvuk pětiválce je nádhera, které se žádný čtyřválec nevyrovná. A dynamika samotná je u RS3 taky z jiné dimenze.
