- It's hard to believe when you do the math. Baker 3 premiered on August 11, 2005 in Hollywood, CA. That was eight days before Antwuan Dixon's 17th birthday. Born in in 1988, Antwuan was only 16 years old when he nollie heelfliped the Carlsbad Gap. I believe he landed it third try, but who's counting? 16 years later, you're still like "Yeeeeeeee!" Circa 2005

I kick flipped and nollie 180d everthing. I wrote PD on everything. YES touching the ground like Greco was also extremely important to pull off the vibe!

Agreed anything weak enough would be a torn ligament at best! I'm 28 gonna be 29 soon and I study antwuan, Chris cole, and Mullen in terms of posture hoping before I'm 35 and starting to be even more fucked up from working so hard at my job I can just film one sweet part. Skating some real shoes like that helps too more than young guys will know bc it's just not fricken hype enough for em. I skate the narrow open toed shoes too but if you're gonna get good down gaps you better be young as hell and it won't last in your vulc Vans

I still remember the day Baker 3 dropped. All my boy's were GLUED to Antwuans part. We knew this dude was the next big thing and we watched it back religiously before we would go out for a session. Herman's part may have been the best of Baker 3 (especially for me because Herman was my idol)...but as for the part that made the most IMPACT around the skate community and the part that had EVERYONE talking, it was DEFINITELY Antwuans part. His style was flawless. Everyone was trying to take a bite off of Dixons steeze after his part dropped lol.
It’d probably be a really huge task and take forever but it would be awesome if beagle could somehow gather each individual skaters footage all together from each video part from this era (the deathwish video, baker 3, etc) and lump them all together and release them separately. Like b side for Reynolds emerica 3 part clips ETC

S9meth8ng about watching skating in the early 2000’s gives me the most intense feeling of nostalgia, that I physically feel a densities of nostalgic feelings in my chest when I watch this baker footage. Baker 3 was such an influence on me and my friends that did what every skate crew did, which was go out every weekend on the bus all throughout 6th,7th,and 8th grade, staying at each others pads on Friday night, waking up at 7 or 8, just JAZZED to skate and emulate Baker 3, new blood, flip sorry and really sorry....That time of my life was just so good thanks to skating and what skating with friends IS . I watch these tapes and wonder like, what was I doing on that very moment this was being filmed. Had I even started skating yet? Th8s was before Baker 3 and I remember when baker 3 came out I’d been skating for probably almost a year or less...man, NOSTALGIC!!
I can't think of a more talented skateboarder than Antwuan Dixon. I guess this is how people saw Penny back in the day. If he stayed off the drugs,worked hard,continued putting out parts...no doubt in my mind he would be one of the greats. Imagine Dixon putting in the work like Reynolds did for Stay Gold... The guy just has IT.

But those back to back lines he did in his Stay Gold part are too good, starting with a 10 and ending at a 15? Very few would step to lines like that
