The third song with Portakosmo at The Lengths in Fort William last week. all in one take this one was inspired by the sounds being made from accross the shore. here there was a noise and LFO patch that filtered in a way that sounded like the banging and clanging echoing in the valley, from what was going on at the other shore, also when the boats come in they sound a fog horn it seems. hence the square wave going in at a very high level into a spring reverb to make a tuned fog horn! this was shot and recorded live, the live vid is available on my patreon. and a portakosmo vid about the synth is coming soon!
Really love this one!
Fascinating. This reminds me of "The Fog" by John Carpenter? You should, maybe , consider going into composing music for movie soundtracks? Or do an entire album of an imaginary one?
You sir, are a true artist. This is incredible.
This is awesome! The only problem with it is that it's too short! I wanted it to evolve and develop more, but I guess you should always leave people wanting more, rather than less! 🙂
Excellent, best played LOUD. Surreal seeing the water seemingly flowing in two directions at once.
Just took your advice. It's an experience alright; played loud there's just so much more to it, it almost envelops you. Good call!
This has a "welcome to the machine" vibe for me. Very cool, love that reverberated horn sound!
The rising steam, swirling water and ominous sounds are perfect.
Love the slapping, chatter of the far-off train car wheels eerily passing over tracks through a East German countryside fog, with a feeling of longing and loss trailing behind, tapering off into a eternal void.
Very satisfying. Please, keep it up.
Perfect Sam! That is what I call a perfect Dark Ambient track!
Love it! Very Tomorrow's Harvest. Would be great to see an EP or full album!
i've been loving these videos!!! your sounds and visuals are amazing, so far this might be my favorite yet
Maximum experimentation. How wonderful. Magic track and video.
Love the dystopia feeling these sounds have. It brightens up a lot 😁 Continue your amazing work, there's just too few making chilling analogue stuff.
Wow, I laid back headphones on and had a Dark Side Of The Moon moment. Thankyou.
I'm really liking these, today's was particularly moody with the industrial sounds 👍
From outside our would
Wonderful atmosphere
Beautiful! Larry Fast would be proud.
We love the imagery with this
Wow, i realy in to this dark side of the LMNC!
love it.. again takes me back to my roots.. i miss playing on synths and keys i just have the computer these days and a midi and i have been lazy.. you always inspire me to have another dabble :) keep up the great work
I love this little series
Loving these haunting tracks with the Fort Bill visuals
sounds like a score for an award winning movie or documentary. or maybe for a video by @TheProperPeople
Your videos with your DIY synth and the music have been amazing, loving the music
amazing music i'm putting this on loop
It's almost like an 80's movie where you expect some guy to hold a sword up and get struck by lightning.
What a great space this is👽
Deliciously dark. I'm looking forward to seeing the PortaKosmo. I hope you keep the same aesthetic.
Beautiful
It’s very mesmerising, it has a strong Pink Floyd vibe to it. It reminds me a bit of the Wish You Where Here and the Animals albums.
The intro, made me think. Delicate sound of thunder. Very interesting.
Especially the eddy currents in that river
👍💪
More of this please! Sounds great, looks great
Beautiful...
This reminds me of "the Arpeggiator" my Jean Michel Jarre (from the old days, when he was still creative).
Bloody brilliant!
Yet another very cool video! Brilliant stuff through and through.
Great inspirations you’re getting Sam, really liking your explorations taking time away with Portakismo. The fog horn sound is very dramatic, I made a live hour long recording with analogue stuff about a year ago… very minimal starting with a blasting fog horn (haven’t got a clue how I made it) sound every so often that got more and more intense. It reminded me of an 80’s film called ‘The Fog’.
Like this one a LOT! This one works extremely well like an old Tan dream, Synergy or Tonto Head Band tune.
FFS Mate!! This one has so much tension and harmonic potential I want to rip the audio directly from this and make a banging dark synth remix out of it. I can already hear the drums and other tracks in my head. Nice one. Keep being THE Badass inspiration to musicians and artists that you so elegantly are.
Congratulations. Great piece
Great visuals for the track
awesomeness - I wish I could listen to this on spotify/amazon music. Maybe you could share a place to hear these tracks. I really really love this
Really cool man sounds great!!
i was gonna talk about long tail reverbs n stuff, but that piece was pretty perfect regardless. audio matched the visual 100% 👍🏻
This is really good keep it up mate!
So good!
Great track
Love it! Next Level!
I love this!
tinglings of the exorcist haunting dynamic
This reeeeaaaly reminds me of the Oxenfree 1 Soundtrack.
This is really cool
Cripes, that weather looks Scottish!
Quality racket!
Can you please make a video about all the components your modular synth has? How many VCOs for example etc? If you could add some seconds with a demo of what each module does it would be great! I want to build a modular synth, bit i dont know where to start, because i dont know what module to start with. I badically dont know which modules to choose, because I dont know what each module does. Let alone, if i need more than one of each module...
Im so happy see and hear all the hard work you done and finally you get too enjoy it.
Cool sounds, this ships horn sound cool, i listened twice.
Akai professional has "invented" a new tool for the Akai MPC samplers, called Stems.
It allows you to dissect samples taken from records or so, isolate voice, drums, guitars and so.
That was awesome :)
Diggin those groovy honks 📢
if in doubt, put a honk on it
Just coincidentally I was reading a story about an AI apocalypse with that in the background. Lol. Went well. Nice naruto
LMNC: How mean should the bass sound?
Audience: YES!!
An absolutely beautiful stream of sounds! You are the master of electronic wave reality.
Smashing it!
Wonderful! :D
Very Mass Effect-y which fits alien deep waters
Sounds like Tangerine Dream!
Nice one.
Getting a hint of Gabriel’s horn
It's like painting with sound.
would love to see you score some film work... you catch the feel and sounds of this shot very well.
Buenaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! buen lugar para lograr excelentes climas frecuenciales!!!
Sam! Great work mate, I just love how you're matching the music to the videos in this series, or is it the other way around! 🙂😎🤓❤
good vid 👍
there's nothing special here, but this is the fifth time I've listened to it
De plus en plus intéressant... 🤔
Nice dude , I kinda trance out like that on my korgs .
Very Klaus Schultz-esque!
Fantastic accompaniment to the gyres! Where was it?
I feel like Vangelis should have used this in _Blade Runner._ Super moody but love it. 👍
Fab: That’s more like it!: More if possible…..
Do you only use the bluesky as send fx ? Cheers bud
💐👏🏾
good for other videos without music
Almost has an idles vibe, they should team up w you
Did you find time to have a drive around the Strontian peninsular or a run out to Mallaig?
i did when i went in summer, but not last week. didnt have enough time to record songs let alone go dossing about :D
really good but the visuals of the water with the currents going in and out are freaking me out.
Sounds like it should have been in Blade Runner.... Very Nice,,,,,,

dark and dirty .
Gefahr! Gefahr!
Pink Floyd on acid!
this sounds wikkid
Dont let them in nomatter how much they may promise unlimited wealth, and when found, so trivial in quantity, that the dry, shrivelled kernel scarcely compensates for the trouble of cracking the nut.
Sounds very John Carpenter...
Дзякуй з Беларусi! мы пакуль пад акупацыей але ж ёсць магчымасць ужываць интэрнэт!
