  • We have owned our 2020 Audi SQ5 for almost a year now and we have put over 11k miles on it... we figured we were long over due for a review. Having just reviewed the 2021 Q5 put us in a good place to compare our findings.
Is the SQ5 the best compact luxury SUV out there? We go over the exterior, interior and drive experience.

Great review! We had a 16’ sq5 which was so good to us and now has been traded for the 22’ sq5 sportback . Absolutely love how the new one drives. The diamond stitch red seats are so sexy and feel great. We added the sport rear differential for the sideways fun factor😉. Last but not least, what a beautiful lady! Stunning 🍻cheers

Just picked up a '20 Mythos Black one. I've only had it for a month, but like you guys, had no clue about the little storage compartment under the steering wheel. Thanks for the intel!

I rented the same but an ‘18 sq5 on turo and was surprised how smooth it drove for having 60k miles and how the interior buttons felt compared to my ‘18 A4. Everything is so firm.

Wow, what a discount from Audi! Great price on the Premium Plus. 64k and you paid 49k, so awesome.
This is my dream car, we looked at it but my wife decided to get the RX350, but I'll still plan to get this SQ5 for me someday.
It's strange that it has seat memory but the steering wheel is not automatically adjusted with the seat and/mirror. That's not convenient if my spouse also drives it sometimes. Most Lexus does have that.
And what camera do you use at the beginning? Is it an Iphone 13 Pro? The picture is very clear and in HD 4k quality.
Daytona Gray is awesome and my favorite color too. My favorite interior color would be black, I saw on some European model, this one looks like grayish color.
Thanks so much for the review of this wonderful car.

funny you say this. was helping my mom pick out a newer luxury suv and we were seeking out the Audi Sq5 but ended up choosing the 2020 Lexus RX350. She had a 2015 Lexus NX200t which went for 151,000 miles with ZERO issues so it was difficult for her to roll the dice on a higher performance Audi. I will say that RX350 drives like a dream. Not quite as sporty but the luxury is there.

Hey man very good review very different and that’s good. I have just question because I’m about to buy one now , it’s yours SQ5 petrol or diesel ? And how happy or unhappy you are after 2 years ?? Thanks all the best ! 🙏🏽

Its petrol... we have 34k miles on it now. NO issues at all! we did put some tires on it that were a little more all weather because it really does not handle well with the original tires in the rain. Excellent SUV sportscar!

I actually have a 2014 sq5 and it's been great for 4yrs. the wheel gap on them is silly looking so I purchased bilstein shocks with lowering springs for better handling and a lower stance. I recently hit 100k miles and it's been rock solid. despite that I'm selling it for a 2017 sierra denali ultimate with 25k miles. your videos on the sierra have been very helpful.

Ive heard of issues with the MMI interface, like dropping out stuff, having to replug in your phone, having favorites on radio disappear etc. too late for me as I’m picking up my new 2023 SQ5, Prestige in Ultra Blue. Sport exhaust tips, black optic, air suspension with sport differential, Nappa leather seats, and other stuff.

Nice review! Personally love the Daytona Gray without the Black Optic Package. Much prefer the pop of the silver accents over the blacked out look.
Both the rubber mats and the privacy cover are port installed accessories. My guess is perhaps it didn’t have the port installed privacy cover? It would be on the window sticker otherwise.
Also, first mod is always to peel off the California prop 65 sticker on the driver door. Seems you still need to do that!

lol... will do. It did not come with the privacy cover but it did have the roof rack. didnt like the look of it and really had no use for it so I just left it uninstalled.
