Okay, a lot of people are commenting about Divergent & The Selection trilogies not being complete, but those other books are companions! Four is a collection of short stories, and the new Selection book coming out this spring takes place years later with a different main character. The original trilogies don't rely on these other books to make sense or complete the story, so I'm counting them as complete! Hope this clarifies things :)
I count them as compete! :D Because then you could also count The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner as the Twilight series. And probably lots more. The Hobbit isn't part of Lord of the Rings "series". Because then you could pull that leg for the Silmarillion or the entire History of Middle Earth and everything else haha. Okay probably not that extensively. Enjoyed the video!
Yea the selection is three books and I have a fourth but it's two novellas called the prince and the guard in one book but is not the included as part of the series only a side story
There needs to be a website that sells just dust jackets so people can get dust jackets for their naked books! OR if a series got a cover makeover, the reader doesn't have to buy new copies. They can just buy jackets to replace the old ones. Whaaaaaat? I'm a genius O.O
This got me curious so I googled it... There was a person asking where they can buy the covers because their copy of the Goblet of Fire was missing it too! :o
Kat! I'm so glad you captioned this new video and hope you will continue to caption! Now so many more people will be able to enjoy your awesome videos! I myself am not d/Deaf or Hard of Hearing, or a non-English speaker, but I think it's really important for youtubers to add closed captions to their videos! You're awesome =) (Also, I recommend Song of the Lioness, Tamora Pierce is awesome!)
TheLibraryOfSarah Thank you! I've been captioning all my videos this last month or so, and even though it takes a while, it makes me so happy to hear it's appreciated! I will definitely keep it up! :)
It's on a website called hebeldesign.com, and I think the link is in the "Excerpts and Extras" section of her website. Also, on the website, there is jewelry for other books too!
*drools over all the amazing colorful books* Kat you've seriously got the best collection ever. Also like f**k cover changes though why does that even exist and why don't they at least make them match?!?!?! Sorry for the rant...
I used to love reading and writing but stopped for a couple years but since i started watching your videos you have inspired and ignited my love for both again. So thank you for that and for your lovely videos.
It's 4 AM, I'm incredibly sleepy but somehow I felt compelled to watch this as it has just now shown up in my subscription feed. Dedication, Kat, dedication. Anyways, I love seeing videos like these! Reminds me of how much more books I should get started on and read already.
I am just in awe of your book collection and it is always pleasing to see series with nice covers. This video has quite lot of those and quite a few books I should check out as well.
No matter how many of your videos I see, I'm always impressed over how many books you've read. This also makes me realize I haven't done a book video in a while. >.>............ (I need to get a few of those series too.)
I started the daughter of smoke and bone trilogy on your recommendation and I am loving it so far!!! Right now I'm on days of blood and starlight and I'm about halfway through.
I envy you so much. You are able to decide every new day what book you want to read and I always have to look at my whole Bookcase hoping there is one book I havent jet read.
Get started on the Song of the Lioness quartet!! Tamora Pierce's worlds are amazing and they don't end with just one set of books! I've loved all of her many novels :)
If you get around to reading The Song of the Lioness quartet and love it, then I recommend reading her other books. I have read all of Tamora Pierce's books and own most of them. I own all of her books except 2. My best friend got me into her books when I was a teenager, and now I will read anything of hers.
Kat, there will be a 5th book to The Seven Realms series but it is a companion novel that is mainly focus on a new generartion. You can still call it a quartet, until around 2016 spring...
The Clockwork Angel around your neck made me think that you look like what I imagine Tessa! So glad you got the Seven Realms it is just awsome! The last book was soooooo good!
I need to start and finish a lot of series too. Some of the ones you haven't read yet I have or haven't too, but I've just started the Girl of Fire and Thorns series and it is amazing, so you shoild really get started on this series!
I'm not sure if you were reading my mind when you made this or not... I have set myself the challenge of reading a complete series this month and was just looking to see if you had any suggestions! Perfect.
You have a lot of trilogies. I just finished The Infernal Devices trilogy I stayed up til almost 4:00 in the morning to finish Clockwork Princess. Also Kat, you'll be happy to know that they're thinking of turning Daughter of Smoke and Bone into a movie.
I didn't know that the wake trilogy was a series!! I read the first book aaaaages ago and loved it. Oh my gosh I'm so excited! I need to get the others ASAP! Great video by the way!
The book at the back cinder, scarlet and cress. i have cinder and scarlet still need to read them. Do u have fourth book XD Winter i think it was called
I didn't know you'd finished the Gemma Doyle trilogy.. I knew you had the first book.. It's seriously SO underrated that series - I read it a couple of years ago & now I have the audiobooks, I'm going back for a re-read!
surrendersweet Yeah! I read it when it first came out, before I made booktube videos! There are some seriously underrated series that are a few years old, I might have to do a reread as well! Or at least a video highlighting some of the books I loved before booktube :)
Grave Mercy and the other two books in your hands at 4:10 are not a trilogy there is two more books coming out, the fourth one is coming out in 2018 and the last and final one is a year later 2019 I believe.
Hey! Please do an updated book shelf tour like you did before! I know that it is a lot of work but I only go by the books on your shelf! 😜 and if not can u please make a different list on your good reads of all the books on my shelf till date!!! I love you!
You should definitely read The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series! It was the very first fictional series that I completed. Also, the order of the books is The Alchymist, The Magician, The Sorceress, The Necromancer, The Warlock, and finally The Enchantress
I literally want to be you so i can hug all your books. Like i love my kindle because it's so quick and easy but nothing beats a whole collection of physical books like this❤️
The number of books just in this video not read makes me feel Mich better about my unread and owned pile! so Mich so tat I may allow myself back at the book store! Love your videos keep it up!
Have you read Brandon Sanderson's The Reckoners series? I'd recommend that one. Or how about The Maze Runner trilogy? And how about The Solitary Tales by Travis Thrasher.
Himbeere2446 yeah totally worth it ! ( as soon as nothing happens to Carter ❤) ...and just think that not even the 4th book has come out in Mexico yet....torture !!
Well, I couldn't wait so...I read it in english!!! It was very good but not as much as I had expected...I just wanted the BIG end, but...I don't know, the last book left inside me many "gaps". When you will read it, you will understand...
If I owned as many books as you do and read at an incredible speed like you I don't think I'd mind that many completed series (including the unfinished ones) but that's probably just because books are beautiful and fun to own! :)
You should start with (after finishing the Mistborn trilogy naturally) the Chaos Walking Trilogy! It's AMAZING. I just need to read Cold Snap with the Jackson Pearce quadrilogy of companion novels, but I don't own it.
The Demon Trapper's Daughter and Song of the Lioness series are must reads! There's 16 more books in the same universe as Song of the Lioness that goes hand in hand with the first series and they are so good!
Sorry to add to your TBR but there is a short story that comes after The Modern Faerytale series by Holly Black. It's in her short story collection, 'The Poison Eaters'. It tells you what happens to all the characters after everything in the series.
I have two of the Rudy red sires book but I sill need the third and I still need to finsh the first book and then read the second and read the 3rd book once I have it
I have read The Twilight Saga and The Harry Potter series. I just ordered 8 books of book 1 of a few of the series to try them I also owned a couple of the books but hadn't read. I Read Divergent but not the rest of the series. I wrote down all of them and hopefully can get to some of them this year. Thank you for the video, was a pleasure as always.
I need to get some series finished this year I'm working on the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice right now. I haven't read one since last year. I want to read more this year.
Have you read Kiera Cass's new book "The Heir"? I too had thought last year after "The One" that it was a trilogy. But now there is a fourth book out. If you have gotten the book, please review it. If not, BUY IT PLEASE!!!
Hi Kat I get the series i read from my local library but it can be frustrating waiting for a book in a series to be return before you can move onto the next. Cheers Phoebe
The 'The Song of the Lioness quartet' is one of several different series set in the same world, some of the other series are 'The Protector of the Small Quartet', The Immortals Quartet', 'Daughter of the Lioness Duology', 'The Provost's Dog Trilogy'. If you like 'The Song of the Lioness Quartet', you should absolutely read these as well. If your interested in a similar writing style but more mature content then check out the Provost's Dog books, they can be a stand alone.
I love this video so much because you get to see how seriously goooooorgeous all of these books look when they're all together as a trilogy or series!!!!! You have so many completed series I'm so jealous!!!! Hahaha
You need to read the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr, there are 5 main books, a novella (which originally was just a 3 volume Manga series, but was then turned into a novella as well) and many short stories which are in her anthology book, Faerie Tales and Nightmares. The books are Wicked Lovely Ink Exchange Fragile Eternity Radiant Shadows Darkest Mercy Desert Tales (novella) Faerie Tales and Nightmares
Ha, yeah, The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series was definitely in the wrong order :P I've read The Alchemyst but wasn't too impressed by it, so I don't think I'm going to go any further with that series. YOU DEFINITELY HAVE A MASSIVE TBR THERE! But I have every confidence that you will get through every series that you want to, since you seem to read like superhuman fast. Happy reading! XD
The Demon Trapper's Daughter series is worth a read, there's really likeable main character, a pretty neat alternative world. It gets a little cheesy every now and then, but they're very entertaining.
I think I own 16 completed series and I've fully read 9 of them. But I have quite a few where I didn't buy the last book or haven't read the last book so lot's of them are close to being completed.
Kat, one series that you HAVE to read is the House of Night Series!!! I has 12 books, but they are SUPER fast reads. I'm on the 5 one Hunted and I'm in love with them all.
The Nicholas Flamel series is pretty good. The only reason I'm not continuing on the third book is, well, I can't find the section in my school library where they're placed. It's not that it's a big library, it' just that... Okay, I have no excuse. I probably walked past it like 10 times. 7 in the morning and half-asleep are not good matches for book hunting. Don't judge me.
Where did you find that version of "Monsters of Men" (Chaos Walking)? I can't find it anywhere since the new covers came out. :/ If I do find it, it's priced like a collectors item..$25+ sometimes.. Lol
I'm reading the second book in the daughter of smoke and bone trilogy I looooooved! The first book the second not so much :( but in saying that I'm more than half way and I'm starting to love it now
Hi Katie; I love your videos. I have the first book in the Shade Trilogy, and am trying to find the other two. Have you heard of The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot? It is a similar ghost-like story, and the newest book Book #7 came out this year called Remembrance. I picked it up at my Barnes and Noble here, and was so excited to get it. I also picked up The Raven Boys by Maggie Stievater. I think you would like The Mediator Series with the first six of the books. Then the 7th one just came out. I really want to read The Ruby Red trilogy, I have them all in paperback, but I don't have Emerald Green yet. Awesome video here. Do you think you could do another bookshelf tour maybe after the Holidays? Your shelves are so pretty. You cracked me up at the end of this video with your "Bloopers." Books, Books, Books. :)
Okay, a lot of people are commenting about Divergent & The Selection trilogies not being complete, but those other books are companions! You should totally finish the Kane chronicles! It might not be as exciting in the first book but the second is great!!! The last on is my favorite!!
Yea the selection is three books and I have a fourth but it's two novellas called the prince and the guard in one book but is not the included as part of the series only a side story
You should read Fire by Kristin cashore... It was really good and a quick read 😋
also the seven realms series is my favorite series!
Why is it that you, Christine, and I are all missing the book jacket to Goblet of Fire????? That's so weird!
There needs to be a website that sells just dust jackets so people can get dust jackets for their naked books! OR if a series got a cover makeover, the reader doesn't have to buy new copies. They can just buy jackets to replace the old ones. Whaaaaaat? I'm a genius O.O
Shay's Book Cave *gasp* YASSSSS
Shay's Book Cave OHMYGAWD someone better do this soon
This got me curious so I googled it... There was a person asking where they can buy the covers because their copy of the Goblet of Fire was missing it too! :o
Oh my gosh!! Best name ever. "We Got You Covered". Right? Right? Yeeeeaaaaaaahhhh

Courtney Lunn DO YOU WANT ALCOHOL POISONING?? XD
***** LOL you make a good point...
Or every time she says trilogy xD
Or "I have not yet started"
Even better: Every time she says the word "series" xDDDD

Kat! I'm so glad you captioned this new video and hope you will continue to caption! Now so many more people will be able to enjoy your awesome videos! I love the covers for the Ruby Red trilogy. I kinda want to read the series just because of the covers. Btw, I love your necklace
Ikr? I want my own clockwork Angel. I'd wear it all the time.
I personally LOVE Ruby Red, so you should definitely try it out!
If you go to Cassandra Clare's website, there's a link to buy TMI/TID accessories! The clockwork necklace is $22 (cheaper version).
Pauline Liu really?! What is it?
It's on a website called hebeldesign.com, and I think the link is in the "Excerpts and Extras" section of her website. Also, on the website, there is jewelry for other books too!
*drools over all the amazing colorful books* Kat you've seriously got the best collection ever. Also like f**k cover changes though why does that even exist and why don't they at least make them match?!?!?!

Michael BookLion NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR COVER CHANGE RANTS.
I used to love reading and writing but stopped for a couple years but since i started watching your videos you have inspired and ignited my love for both again. So thank you for that and for your lovely videos.
68 complete series!?! That is INSANE! :O
It's 4 AM, I'm incredibly sleepy but somehow I felt compelled to watch this as it has just now shown up in my subscription feed. Dedication, Kat, dedication. Anyways, I love seeing videos like these! Reminds me of how much more books I should get started on and read already.

Jami Ramos Hey! Thanks ♥

I started the daughter of smoke and bone trilogy on your recommendation and I am loving it so far!!! Right now I'm on days of blood and starlight and I'm about halfway through.
I can't imagine buying the entirety of a series without having read the first book and knowing that I liked it.
Late late I know but for me I don't hate books very often so I'm more comfortable with buying whole series and I'm a completetionist
I envy you so much. You are able to decide every new day what book you want to read and I always have to look at my whole Bookcase hoping there is one book I havent jet read.
Gosh. I really want your TBR books.
They'd hold me over for 3 months, for sure.
I love the Matched Trilogy! I highly recommend finishing them! They definitely fall into my list of favorites!!
Yes, you must start the Song of the Lioness quartet. You must read all of the Tortall books. They are all so good.
I just knew you would mention William Herondale :) You have a lot of series to complete! You better get on that! :D
I try to mention Will as often as possible! XD
Of course! A video wouldn't be complete without Will! ;)

You haven't read A Song of Ice and Fire yet? I remember you bought that in a "May Book Haul" video.
If I owned as many books as you do and read at an incredible speed like you I don't think I'd mind that many completed series (including the unfinished ones) but that's probably just because books are beautiful and fun to own! :)

KAT!!!! You have to read the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series!!!! IT IS SO FREAKING GOOD!!!!
You need to read the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr, there are 5 main books, a novella (which originally was just a 3 volume Manga series, but was then turned into a novella as well) and many short stories which are in her anthology book, Faerie Tales and Nightmares.
The books are

Ha, yeah, The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series was definitely in the wrong order :P
I've read The Alchemyst but wasn't too impressed by it, so I don't think I'm going to go any further with that series.

I have completed 27 of those series (yes, I took a tally) and I also gave up on Beautiful Creatures and Wither.
The first book the second not so much :( but in saying that I'm more than half way and I'm starting to love it now
Loved Word and the Void trilogy! Terry Brooks is awesome
the closed captioning for this is amazing omg
Just LOVE your little bloopers at the end of your videos 😂☺️
Thank you so much for the captioning on your videos.
I love your necklace! Is if off the book series: Infernal Devices?
