Atmosphere is one the most slept on groups I've ever witnessed. The soul and word play that goes into all of their albums deserves all the respect in the world. Thank you for your beautiful art.
It's so impressive these guys keep making such inspiring music. Been ride or die til Headshots and the music gets better. The lyrics get wiser. It's a rap anomaly that I'm lucky to be aware of.

Wow. This song is special. Slug and Ant have really outdone themselves. Gorgeous beat, really moving lyrics that got me pondering my own life and growth. Slug killed this concept imo. And this video really took these ideas and brought them to life in a beautiful way. Props to the director, cinematographer, and forever love and gratitude to Ant and Sluggo
Let me start by saying thank you. Your music has been a part of my life since I was 7 years old. I was more or less an occasional fan. I really didn't begin to appreciate your music until about the age of 12, right around the time I lost my father. At that point, I Dove heavily into Outcast, God Loves Ugly, Seven Travels, You Can't Imagine How Much Fun Were Having. When When Live Gives You Lemons dropped, it helped me so much in overcoming my transition into high school and the hell composed of teenage angst, emotional instability, depression, and suicidal thought, bullying, that came with it. I can go on and on and on about my life. But to sum it up, your music has been there for me through the good times and the bad times. I have taken away so much over seeing your group grow and develop over the years. I can say i am a true fan until the end. I am looking forward to so many more years of music and much more. Thank you again for not only giving me the gift of your music but thank you for also helping fill the void and being the father figure that I so desperately needed when I was growing up and as I continue to grow. I hope to make party with you one day. Until then, please carry on being who you are, and please know how much of a positive influence you've been in my life.
I can already tell this album is exactly what our souls need to help us keep pushing through.. the gentle reminder that there is still beauty to be found within all this pain ❤
I saw atmosphere with brother Ali for the first time in 2001 in a small venue in Reno nv. I believe it was the god loves ugly tour. Me and all my friends were 14, singing and the top of our lungs in the line. I’ve seen them probably 20 times since. It blows me away they continue to put out new music that makes me feel that same excitement
My long-time uncle (my aunt's husband, related by marriage, not blood, but he's still family to me since he's been there since I was a baby) has terminal cancer. My uncle is a convict who got out of prison several decades ago and tried to settle down with my aunt after they met decades ago and live a normal life doing construction work and odd jobs, and yet this is the hand he's got dealt. I've been avoiding how I feel about his mortality and how he might not be here anymore in the next few years. Every time I see you or hear you speak Sean, I can't help but see my uncle in you. Thank you for your music, Slug. It's helping me face what's going on with my uncle. I have a five-year-old pitbull who is one of the puppies of my uncle's old rottweiler. My dog Chloe loves me and reminds me I will still have some connection to him after he's gone. Your music touches me in this genre as no others do. Keep making music, dude.
This has a "Say Hey There" hotel vibe but with a Serious Sean. I hope the Bigger Pictures are in the sky and not the box! A crocodile cannot stick its toungue out , but hummingbirds are the only animal that can fly backwards. (thx Alchemist 🎉❤)
@@MrCzarGuy1 That's great analysis! That song is dope, it's the beginning of the journey in Mi Vida Local (3rd song). I always felt that album is the most complete chronologically, and Slug said SMORES was written that way too.

There are no words. Slugs voice has been a constant in my life, from high school to becoming a mom. Every time I hear his voice my heart sets on fire. SLUG IS FIRE ALWAYS
He had a concert in abq last year in july and said someone told him his old shit was better and he said that he was just happy he was in a spot where someone could say that. I'll just say he aged like wine. ❤
This is my new favorite song. It's like he's speaking to my life experiences. I broke down from the opening lyrics. Always feeling like a burden since 1. The rest brought me down to my knees. Slug is a masterful lyricsist. He speaks to the human condition. Love Atmosphere, always will.

I went from listening to you guys in high school, to working 2 jobs to make the rent, to dating women I'd take to your concerts, to going back to school, to meeting my wife, to taking her to your concerts, to becoming a dad at 33 and playing your music to my first son. And now playing this video in the living room of my house with my newborn son in the bassinet. Thank you! Thank you for being in the soundtrack to my life. #Dadmosphere

The father of alternative hip hop has nothing left to prove. But every now and then, we get blessed with another relatable soundtrack for our lives to remind us that we’ve all grown together and we’re not alone. Some things are bigger than music - this is it.
