Jim had a video about Danhausen a few months back. Earlier last week, the guy broke both his tibia and fibula in an independent match. There seems to be a pretty decent Go Fund Me starting up for him.

The nurses now wouldn't even ask, and if you can tell a ligit story, they would get away with it.
As someone who pursued a sports career that failed, as someone who worked a lot more "blue collar" jobs than I care to admit, for a lot longer than I'd like to discuss, I can relate to the immune system shutting down, and then being blamed by the coach for it. Supervisors tend to be a little more understanding on that front.
People need to really show respect to wrestlers. I hate it when people make out everything is fake. Yes there's storytelling but real life injuries occur from the low and high risk moves they perform just to entertain people. At least Crockett did something back then, although not great better then what WWE did for their talent that got injured.

@TheJoeGreene On one hand, I do wish wrestler generally got that respect. On the other, the art of professional wrestling is to make it look as real as possible without actually hurting anyone... That said, modern wrestling (and the booking of same) has garnered a lot of that disrespect.
