- 🇻🇳 Hello Vietnam! It's good to be back. I've had quite the break from filming eh? It's been close to 4 months since I've filmed here. Between personal life, other work projects, and general direction searching, I took a fairly long break from filming. And it was a good one! I'm glad I took the break and I think it helped me refresh and feel ready to keep making videos here in Vietnam.
With that being said, after traveling to India for 3 weeks to film, I finally am back here in my home of Hanoi. Right after landing, I grabbed a taxi to my home, dropped my stuff off, and an immediate craving for lunch/dinner overcame me. So I hopped on my trust bike which luckily was still around, and decided to stop by one of my favorite food places in Hanoi. Hope you enjoy.

Cách làm video, gắn bó với Việt Nam cũng rất nhiều và đơn giản. Liệt kê tất cả những gì muốn trải nghiệm, muốn làm, gọi tất cả bạn bè người Việt cùng lên ý tưởng cùng thực hiện. Ghi lại điều giản dị đó là được mà. Có mấy năm cũng ko hết ý :))

Mình cũng là fan của Kris là người Việt Nam sống tại châu âu đã 42 năm. Mặc dù thời gian đã quá lâu nhưng chưa bao giờ quên tiếng mẹ đẻ Việt Nam. Rất khâm phục với khoa tiếng Việt Nam của Kris.

Vietnamese food always looks great. I have to laugh when you're saying the food is so light while you are eating 5 bread sticks and heavy rice, it's major amounts of high carbohydrates, but taste soooo gooood, wish I had some 😋
he means the taste of food so light, not heavy like curry. 5 bread stick and a bowl of sticky rice is full for 6-8hr
As a Viet living in the US, I get what you're saying, but at the same time, I've eaten Indian curries and he's absolutely right. There's a heaviness to curry (even if it's vegetarian) that doesn't compare to the meals in Vietnam that are loaded with fat and protein (more often than not lots of fresh herbs and veggies). It just goes down easier and like he said, "ngan" (although I've always used the word "on"...not sure the spelling...but it's like bored of the food or you can only eat so much of it and you're done).
He meant the flavor. Indian food mixes too much spices and stuff together. Carbs calories count is less than protein and fat per same amount.

People in the North often use carrots + green papaya for pickles. Sua dau is made of soya beans, which is also my favourite.

Cái rau chua, rau muối màu trắng ấy thường sẽ được làm từ 1 trong 2 loại hoặc là củ su hào hoặc là quả đu đủ xanh nhé.
