I wish Adept would've sent out their PR earlier. This would've given more creators a chance to show more looks w the semi-transparent toppers. Hopefully, those that got it are happy.
I love toppers bc they are so versatile. They transform with different shades underneath, so if u want to go more neutral, but still want a pop, use a topper over a neutral. If u want to go bold, use a bold matte of your choice underneath.
I definitely think the topper style of shimmers is in right now!! It’s not my personal fave, but I know many people enjoy it!!!

Thank you, Kelly, for your honest review. This is why it is so great to have content creators because I was so excited when I first saw this palette, and I really wanted it. But then the shades that are cream/gel formula are not going to work on my hooded eyes, I think they will move around on the lid even with a glitter primer. It's so helpful that you said the shimmers are a different formula and compared them to other Adept palettes because that is really important for this palette. I'll have to pass on this one and I'm sad because I really wanted it 😔

The packaging is the best they have ever had though. I wish you would had swatched all the shimmers.

They have different formulas. I have most of their palettes I don’t think they have a particular standard shimmer, but different ones. I personally love the variety, but understand personal preference.
I agree… I think it’s great that they have a variety!! I think people who like more topper type of shades will enjoy this one 😊
The palette is based on the Star Trek: Next Generation episode “Devil’s Due.” A con-man/woman pretends to be a planet’s “devil” myth. The legend was that she would grant peace and prosperity for 1,000 years and then return to claim ownership and servitude of the world.
This is a REALLY specific/obscure reference. I’m a major Trekkie, and it took me over a week to realize it was a TNG reference! Once I figured it out, I could place all but three shade names. One, I figured out with a Goggle search, one I literally could not place until I broke down and read the script. (LOL) The third, took me even longer because it was actually a reference from a spin-off NOVEL that linked the TNG episode to an original series movie. So these are incredibly niche references, even for a pretty serious fan!
My boyfriend bought me the Sumerian Sunset palette for Valentine’s Day, and as a makeup AND Star Trek fan, I was so excited! Adept is way out of my usual price range. With all the shade name confusion, he did not buy this one because he knew if I couldn’t figure it out, it would have driven me insane. Lol. By the time I figured it out, it was already sold out, but then they opened it for pre-order…. Without the surprise factor, I knew my boyfriend was out, so I actually broke down and bought it, but I must have been one of the first pre-orders because it already shipped! I must have gotten one of the reserved for lost/damaged ones! 😁 I’m excited to have it, my little Adept Star Trek palette set! ❤

Adept did specify on the palette page that this palette has some specific formulas that many may not be familiar with.

I actually love Adept palettes but the shipping and taxation (heavier for glitters apparently) is prohibitive.

I love the packaging so much and the theme, but this palette doesn't seem to have a great formula. I heard some shades are wet, like Minka. I want it, but I feel like it is maybe overpriced. Thank you for the honesty and the looks!
