the other song recorded on that studio, also published on the same Puscifer channel, is amazing. You should check it out, it's called Momma Sed "V is for Versatile", amazing quality.
Also, "Man Overboard" (Official Video - "Parole Violator") is an amazing rendition of their song.
Had me when the distortion on those guitars kicked in 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I love that too
Never heard of Puscifer. It seems I have a new group to check out!
Ooohhh...what a rabbit hole it is. Have a good journey.
@@crystalscolza1663 I’m pretty sure I will - thanks!
Did you survive?
This song slaps so hard! Gives me chills every time I hear it. Loved your reaction.
awesome band
Puscifer is great... Every album has a totally different sound..
Puscifer is completely different from Tool and APC. I am a fan of all three of Maynard’s bands but Puscifer is where you will find Maynard at his most creative in my opinion. From the amazing harmonies with Carina Round to the unique sounds and riffs created by Mat Mitchell, Puscifer never disappoints. Do not sleep on this band.
Almost the entire existential reckoning album is themed similar to this. Its a great introduction into the rest of their music
Carina Round (the female lead) is part of Puscifer and has Maynard calls it, they're Co-vocalists. Their voices compliment each other perfectly. I could offer tons of recomendations, but one that for me truly shines is their Live at Arcosanti performance of "Bedlamite". I'm pretty sure you'd be in awe of that performance.
I recommend moving on to Humbling River, Grand Canyon or Galileo from here. You should also do the live in studio version of Momna Sed which was shot and recorded in this same session. Really anything from them gold so check it all out.
The whole discography from Maynard is pure gold musically. Tools is one of my favourite band also. Ginger if you dont remember listening to Maynard with female vocals, you guys MUST listen to Tori Amos - Muhammad, my friend (live) with mister Maynard himself, what a duet this two musical genius make. Another great track is Puscifer - Bedlamite (live at Arcosanti).
If you liked the female vocals then I recommend her solo project Carina Round - Motel 74 live version. Shows also a special side of her. She is my favorite singer for a reason.
When you see a green monochrome screen, you know that is an old synth.
PS- Puscifer music does NOT all sound like that and in fact very little of it sounds like the rest of it.
I prefer the original album recording to this one, personally.
More Puscifer. Should listen to an album version. They have many remixes of many of their songs. Theyre all great. I recommend "Rev 22:20" off their first studio album. It doesnt get the love it deserves in my opinion. The newer stuff really showcases Corinas voice tho. Cant go wrong with any album.
🤔 that one went over my head. "EMP for the mother and child" - electromagnetic pulse?
Yes, I believe so
'EMP from the Mother and sun (the big ball in the sky), 'tear the digital down', basically saying we need an emp to destroy our 'digital world/empire' so we can all return the basic roots of our humanity.
@@chriswebb7822 thanks for clearing that up Chris. Can't say I totally disagree with the sentiment 👍
It’s supposed to say Mother and sun, like the big yellow ball in the sky..lol.
I’ll go back and edit my original response. Whoops.
Hmmm... I'm of the opinion that studio album versions should be the first listen. This version sounds NOTHING like the album version. Puscifer is amazing regardless, but they probably have 3+ versions of every song they've released (or so it seems). Puscifer is big on remixes by individual band members and unrelated artists, and releases entire albums of such tracks.
By all means, keep listening to their discography though. They're a special band.
I must admit I prefer the album version of this track. The whole 'V is for Vagina' is a brilliant album
