It's so much fun to watch you. You might want to think about the absolute joy you bring to the stitching community with your enthusiasm and happiness over your stitching. No one is here to criticize or belittle you in any way (besides with your mom watching, WHO would dare!) Please come see us all more often and remember that who you are is such a pleasure and an inspiration to other stitchers!
It was such a delight to watch your flosstube. You are so enthousiastic it makes your flosstube a joy to watch. You cracked me up at the "poop" part. 😅 Thank you for your flosstube and I must watch your previous ones asap! Kind regards, Guylaine
Another excellent video. I’m all caught up on your channel. I saw this one was an hour and a half and thought I’d watch maybe a third of it and come back later. Silly me, I couldn’t hit pause because it was so good. Watched it in one go, taking notes on samplers I may attempt if my chops get good enough. Thank you for such refreshing Flosstubes.
You might be surprised that I might like to grow up and be you. I find your joy of cross stitch and life to be inspiring. I do appreciate your kind words. Congratulations on your model stitch with Evertotes. Well deserved. Beautiful projects, Carmen. You will love stitching M & A 1853 by Needlework Press. Thank you for sharing.❤❤
Hi Carmen! Your videos bring joy and inspiration to the stitching community. Thank you for sharing #JacobSleeperSAL finishes - super fun to see them all and I had a blast participating. I currently cannot stay away from Roxy Floss and have been enjoying using my stash. Have fun with your model stitching! -Carolyn
⭐⭐⭐ Three gold stars for you and your absolutely jam packed full of goodness flosstube. xo Thank you so much for your kind words - we love you Carmen, AND your enthusiasm ❤
All your stitching is just gorgeous but that first one (I already forgot the name 😂) is so eye catching! I like the brighter colors of it, so refreshing! Congrats on the model stitching gig!
So great to watch you and get a big injection of passion and enthusiasm for stitching Carmen. I cannot believe how quickly you stitch those huge pieces! Congrats on completing Charlotte Ramsey. My Peacock Tree for the SAL got restarted because I just wasn’t happy with the threads I’d started with. I would like to stitch more quickly on it, but it turns out doing a crazy 50 starts challenge in a year takes up a lot of stitching time! 😉 thanks for sharing!
How many times are you going to make me pause, search and order in 1 video ?? GH ordered, linen ordered, 2 more patterns ordered ! 😂 Im SO excited to start the SAL ... totally infectious enthusiasm .... Go Go Go you Model Stitcher !!!!! Well done and thanks ❤
Every time you have a video, I put everything else on pause! It was great to catch up in video form (IG helps in between lol) and see the projects! I completely relate to the urge feeling of have finished, there are 2 options, finish or start smalls hahaha :) I really hope you will continue sharing other's finishes/WIPs of the SAL, it was really nice to see projects I might not have come across myself. Your videos are so much fun and keep a smile on my face the whole way through! Thank you! (and, I'm so honoured you mentioned my natural dyed items!) Yes for meeting in person one day!
Omg! I’m so excited for you on your model stitch! I can’t believe it, I’ve never seen that sampler before and I came across it on stash unload on fb and I had to have it mostly because of the words, and of course the deer, and then I saw Carolyne talking about it and I was like oh my gosh! I just got that! And now I see you’re stitching it… and oh my gosh I’m so excited to stitch it too. I feel your excitement and how you say it almost brings you to tears, I feel the same way! lol
Looking forward to meeting you at Stitch North 2025! I will be at weekend 2 as well. I’m going to the Netherlands in July so I’m going to re-watch your last video for places that I need to go. Great video!
I am with you 100%. I do not care for Halloween either. Thoroughly enjoy your presentation on Foss tube. Keep up the good work. I am particularly interested in your Dutch samplers. My mother and father were both born in Holland and therefore I would like to do a Dutch sampler. Have you heard of the Dutch red flower sampler from the heart needle art? Also, you had mentioned that you never did a quaker I just got the chart to do Quakers in Holland.
You are so delightful to watch. I love your passion for stitching. You are also very humble. Congratulations on your accomplishments. Your stitching is beautiful!❤
Your stitching is beautiful and enabling. I don't usually stitch samplers, but I just bought Yvonne Leclercq 1905 because I love the spaniels!! ROFL and yes, it will be stitched soon. Thank you for sharing your stitchy joy!
Your excitement for #gh1857samplersal is infectious. Jodi and I are happy you decided to join in the fun! If you have a dye lot issue with the incoming floss, I think you can break it up with the motifs. You could always use your Deep Sea in the border and the new floss in the motifs. I may need to use my leftover linen from GH 1857 to stitch the gorgeous smalls as you did. Congratulations on all of your finishes and being asked to model stitch! Happy stitching! 🧵🪡
Thank you! I’m so glad you two started this Sal. I love this sampler so much and I’ve been “saving” it so this was just the push I needed. It’s also just so fun to stitch along with stitchy friends!
Thank you for a great Flosstube and for sharing my MFE Julbocken finish! Your stitching is beautiful. I have just ordered Sampled Lives but today I found a sampler address book with images of samplers from that very same museum which is cool. 💗
So glad you were able to get the Darlene O’Steen book! Another needle worker who wrote great stitch instruction books is Eileen Bennett. She wrote books 1 & 2 in the 90s and came out with a newer Red Book of Stitches last year. If you can, you should try to get the latest book. She has a tremendous number of stitches in the book ❤. I love your enthusiasm toward stitching! We need young people like you for the future of needlework 😊
Just watched Nicola of Hands Across the Sea latest floss tube and she refers to both the Proper Stitch and to Eileen Bennetts Red Book of Sampler Stitches 😊
J’adore tes travaux d’aiguilles et merci pour les partager . Je serai à Stich North en octobre et pour la même fin de semaine que toi en mai. J’espère te rencontrer À bientôt
Great projects Stitched and to come! I'm with you on Halloween - though not for the same reasons. I always felt awkward as a child to 'dress up' and as a Mom I felt we were sending mixed messages to the kids - DO NOT TAKE CANDY FROM STRANGERS!!! Then you drive them around for hours to knock on stranger's doors begging for candy? Odd to me.. Our small hamlet in the north used to do a potluck and a piñata - we's set out candle bags all along the edge of the forest and the children who walked it had to bring back a token from each station... enough scary without bones and shrieks! Anyone who wanted to dress up did! It was fun - full of good food and great company!
Wonderful! I love Amsterdam so much. I wasn’t able to find any cross stitch stores there, there is Soed Idee and de handwerkboetiek not too far away (the Netherlands is pretty small) in Amsterdam there are a few amazing yarn stores if that’s your thing. My video from last month shows me visiting all of these places.
I too worry about getting a hole in my linen. I think Jan Hicks did a flosstube about how to fix that problem. I could be mistaken though so if someone reads this and I’m wrong, please correct me. 😊
You fix it by removing the entire cut thread. You then remove a thread from the very bottom of the fabric and reweave that thread where the cut thread is. If you have more than one cut thread, do not remove all the cut threads at one time, but do this process completely for each cut thread and then move to the next cut thread. Not sure what you do if the thread has floss stitched on it.
It's so much fun to watch you. You might want to think about the absolute joy you bring to the stitching community with your enthusiasm and happiness over your stitching. No one is here to criticize or belittle you in any way (besides with your mom watching, WHO would dare!) Thank you for your kind words 🥹
Hello Cardamen‘s Mum! Another mum watching as a break from her kids. Your baby is fabulous and providing much needed inspiration and relief.
Haha I don’t know if my mom reads the comments but I’ll pass the message along 😛

I commented too soon --- because that last linen you showed is dIVinE!!!

Regarding the deer and the tail - well there's your next hashtag deer pooping sampler
I’m looking for more deer poop samplers let me know if you find one 🤪
Your stitching is beautiful and enabling. I don't usually stitch samplers, but I just bought Yvonne Leclercq 1905 because I love the spaniels!! ROFL and yes, it will be stitched soon. Thank you for sharing your stitchy joy!
I just had to google Yvonne Leclercq. That’s no small feat but what a stunner 🤩 happy stitching!!
M&A, Birds of a Feather and SL 1862 (and others) are all in my dining room. Yes indeed, they look fabulous together! They were each a joy to stitch.
Oh wow! Your dinning room is lucky to have them both! Maybe one day I’ll also have them done together ♥️

Yes, it is!
I am going to Stitch North this fall. Congrats on your model stitching gig.

Amazing beautiful stitching
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you for a great Flosstube and for sharing my MFE Julbocken finish! Your stitching is beautiful. I have just ordered Sampled Lives but today I found a sampler address book with images of samplers from that very same museum which is cool. 💗
Thank YOU for participating in the SAL ♥️ what’s a sampler address book? Like a catalogue of all samplers?
@@cardamenpins It's an address book to write people's home addresses in but it's just illustrated with images of antique samplers that's all. 😃💗
So glad you were able to get the Darlene O’Steen book! Another needle worker who wrote great stitch instruction books is Eileen Bennett. Haha great, I’m glad I’m not the only one 😝
You are always such a delight🥰

Wow great job on your finishes in May. We will meet again at Stitch North 2025-W2.
Yay!!! See you next year 🤗
You are so bubbly. I enjoy your flosstube. I will be going to Amsterdam in July 2025, any shop suggestions.

Loved your work!! And i think you were referring to “Progress finisher.” ❤
Progress finisher! Love it
Weeds and wildflowers by Artsy Housewife with some thread swaps would be amazing on that Marigold fabric!
Oh that’s a good idea. I’ve been wanting to do an artsy housewife
Hi, I enjoyed watching your video.
Thank you!
We all want to be like Sarah! 😀
10/10 stitcher 100/10 human
I too worry about getting a hole in my linen. I think Jan Hicks did a flosstube about how to fix that problem. I could be mistaken though so if someone reads this and I’m wrong, please correct me. 😊
Let’s hope I never need to learn how to fix that problem 🤞
Same! 🙂
That would take a lot of patience. Thank you for letting me know what to do. 😊
Love all your stitching and enthusiasm. I sent you an email about Randjes
I don't like Halloween either
Halloween haters unite! 🧙♀️🚫✋
So excited that I’ll meet you at Stitch North next year!! That’s a huge model stitch - enjoy!! (ivrig_xstitch)
