I just came back from my Dr. and was told I have bone on bone in my knee, in the parking lot I thought 'there goes my squats' but after watching her I'm re-thinking!
@@Sasha-lg1ln I'm squatting, and its going up! Of course be careful and wear knee sleeves etc. I also had PRP injections they worked ok but exercise/lifting feels the best.
@@Aleksandre_Tsiklauri I'm doing good, still squatting and getting stronger. Just take it slow, wear knee sleeves/wraps. I also do a lot of box squats.
51 years old, diagnosed with osteoarthritis 4 month back, started gym again after flare up subsided, started smith machine sumo squat, leg press, dumbell deadlift on leg day although with50%weight less than before still figuring out how to progress, any suggestions please
@Dr. Alyssa Kuhn, Arthritis Adventure thanks. I had been deadlifting for a long time. Only until recently, multiple osteoarthritis has become unbearable. Haven't been in the gym for like month. It has gotten better. I went to see an ortho and was not happy about the options, so I think I'm just going to rodé the pain and deal with the flare ups until I can't take it no more. I'll be heading back to the gym in two weeks. Can't see myself going through lide without lifting. Thanks for the reapons.e

They definitely don’t have to be automatically ruled out with osteoarthritis. They can be possible if your joints are prepared!

You’re welcome!
You can still deadlift if you are suffering from this?
yes! you have to gradually work up to it and make sure you have adequate strength and stability to support your joints but it is possible!
