@Captain Wiggum This is not a hacking XM video. This video is about initialising your XM radio so it will receive the paid for service. If you do not have a paid subscription this will only initialize the advertising channel and nothing else. Thanks
I got the free trial had them send a signal to my g6. and they say it's working on there end but when I hit a channel it says channel unauthorized.

I have a lifetime subscription I bought in '07 for my Sportster 4 receiver. So what you're saying is I can have it on my Sportster "and" my pick-up with the Sirius stereo in my pick-up truck?

Question: I have a Mercury Mariner with Sirius XM (Sirius default) and a Chevy Tahoe with Sirius XM (XM Default). I have the same subscription/package, but not all stations are the same. The main one I listen to is NASCAR, which I get in my Mercury and not the Tahoe. If I put in a new Carshow By Rosen that has Sirius/XM built in...how do I get it so it's "Sirius" and not "XM"...I have another ford vehicle without it...could I activate it on the new radio so I get the channels I'm paying for?
Thanks for the question. I never knew there was any difference as it now is all one company but here is the answer I found:
Without getting too technical, there are 3 platforms (Sirius, XM and SiriusXM). Radios labeled as Sirius radios can only receive Sirius packages. XM radios can only receive XM packages. SiriusXM radios can only receive
SiriusXM packages.

I checked it out at Amazon: amzn.to/2apGEh6 and all it states is that it has XM SAT Radio. I suggest strongly that you contact Rosen and ask directly which XM system it comes with here is their support www.carshowelectronics.com/support.html Thanks

ok here i go i just put a 2014 8.4 nav dvd cd palyer and the radio is a RB5 my sirius xm say no singal still not work they say its my radio i put dual antenna muitiplexer still not working am fm works nav has no bars any help

On my 2013 Elantra it says preparing xm radio, then later it shows check xm tuner. Been speaking to XM and the dealership and they're both saying the other party has to do something.
+LizaVP No matter what if your car is outside with a clear view to the sky you should be able to listen to channel the preview channel 1. If you can not do that take your car to the dealer and tell them to fix it. I had the same problem with my 2011 Sonata so I took it in and they found I had a faulty XM antenna. They replaced it under warranty. If you can receive the preview channel then your antenna is working. Do you have a paid subscription to XM? Thanks
+Richard Lloyd I used to but no longer. They replaced the radio because of the bluetooth no longer worked. The radio they put in, the XM didn't work - couldn't get a preview channel. Now I'm taking it back for them to fix. They scuffed up the trim this time too.
+LizaVP Yea the preview channel should work without a subscription (that's the point of a preview) that's how I knew my system was not working. Tell them about the scuff and if they refuse to repair it then call Hyundai Corporate support and see if they will help you. BTW take pictures of dash and radio with your phone just before you have it serviced just in case they put new scuffs on it. Good luck. Tell us how it went.

Well I got to say this, I got Sirius XM Satellite Radio 4life from the moment I bought my car, it has been working for me very good, no problems, now I never had been in a three-month trial at first or anything like that and to this day I am still with the same satellite radio receiving the same channels at and no extra cost and I never paid for a lifetime subscription. Now I was wondering if I can do the same thing buying a used truck and getting satellite radio for life
Not sure. It's quite possible that there was some sort of error at the time you purchased this car. Perhaps you bought it used and the previous owner activated it with a lifetime subscription and never disabled it in which case I doubt it will happen again when you buy another car. Thanks.
@@richardlloydusa is correct Ali Chun. You are lucky to have bought a car that has a lifetime plan that was not cancelled by the previous owner. and Lifetime plan is no longer offered by SXM
You can transfer the lifetime plan to another vehicle and there would be a transfer fee. But SXM no longer offers 4lyf plan
Nobody has hacked XM-Sirius. It uses a very secure credit card chip bonded to the baseband processor. Good luck amateurs.
