I started playing NFSW on early 2011, played all the way through the end and now I'm enjoying it again on SBRW/FRSS. I'd say that early-mid 2011 was the golden days - waaaaay way back when there were no skill mods or performance parts. You had to buy a 'kit' that at the same time was cosmetic - bodykit, wheel, spoiler, etc. - and upgraded the vehicle's performance. By leveling up you could choose between some skills that later became the skill mods. In my opinion, it was the golden age because it was way less pay-to-win. If you were level 50 basically no one could catch you because of the driver skills, which was a pretty good incentive to make progress in the game. Car classes, skill mods, performance parts... It kinda went downhill after these changes, at least for me. I stopped playing races because of hackers, rammers, and people with speedboost cars. Spent playing Team Escapes and joking around. I'd say by the time the game shut down it had already been kinda dead for maybe 2 years. The SBRW project is AWESOME though. Everything is accessible and the community is really engaged. Kudos to the admin teams that maintain this project alive by sheer passion and the occasional donations. I'd recommend for those who want a blast from the past by reliving the good old days.
@@stuartraydroge5021 yes the game has been revived by the SoapBox Race World project and has different servers to play on. One of them is FreeRoam Spark Server, but there are others. Each server has its economy and cars (the community is actively modding the game and adding new features). I highly reccomend to check it out, search for these and you'll find easily

I remember playing this game back during its release and I had a great time with it, I miss when me and my friends would form clubs and do races all day we formed a club full of jdm cars and went ahead against other clubs in the community I miss this game 😢
i loved to play nfs world i played in 2014 i loved it sadly because of the shutdown i was unable to play the game and after some days i forgot about the game but now we have soap box and we can finnaly play the game again
Bro... I was unknown by this game untill 2020 in Lockdown i came to know about this game..... Once it was my dream in 2019 that carbon and MW should be combined. That came true in 2020... Nowadays I miss that game. I asked everyone at start of 2020 July On Soapbox race world that why EA closed Servers. Everyone said they made this game pay to win. Then I got some idea about EA THAT............. They are idiots. I still have this game Offline one launcher. And I'm now completing nfs MW Rework then I will play Carbon redux 2.3 and then WORLD nfs was good or better till 2015 then got worse. I liked u r vdo only 40 likes at least there should be 1K? WTF

I missed this game, the time I met a goth girl as a girlfriend, I missed my Camaro, my Solstice, and my Murcielago. Rip.
Heard about the game a few years back, looked sick but the p2w was worse than most games.
