Sure she does, yeah. What you are seeing, is not a person who is exercising her selflessness, it is actually the opposite. She owes it to herself, and society to take responsibility for whatever issues she has, regarding mental health and addiction. Being coddled is a small part of her problem, the bigger part is the untreated mental health issues, and addiction. She has a degree. She has opportunity. Give me a break. We don’t get to quit on ourselves.

I am a man, 27. But this woman reminds me of myself. As an alcoholic, UCSB undergrad student, and someone with somewhat "well-off" parents, who somewhat sheltered and coddled me, I can fully relate with Jess. I hope her nothing but the best. She seems like she has a good head on her shoulders and should be able to find herself housing soon. God Bless!

It once was that people would work even if they were depressed, anxious, alcoholic, or mentally ill. My family did it for over 150 years. My pot/coke/alcohol addicted cousins worked and kept homes, educated their kids. I don’t touch any of that poison. If you don’t touch it, you can’t get addicted to it.

A good film that shows ANYONE can find themselves homeless all it takes is the right chain of events as Jessy says she was from a well to do family and after experiencing health issues from a young age she found herself veering off the rails but was able to get back on track and had great Successes in her personal and professional life. She has now found herself homeless and disconnected from her family ties although she is clearly an articulate and highly capable intelligent person you can't help but notice her pain, I do hope you manage to reconnect with your family it might be a tough initial contact but it is always best to make the effort whilst the option is there. Best Wishes from the UK.

She severed her family ties because of the pressure of their expectations. It was easier for her to just be alone and homeless than cope with that pressure.
Her folks need to understand depression and how people with that condition find coping strategies like drugs and alcohol to try to banish their demons.

I have noticed one thing is that so many people are 40 years Old and older! Most employers don't like to hire people in that category. There can be thousands of people in that category! Most government agencies can't or won't help! I've known people with p.h.d. degrees that are homeless! The advancement of technology has put them out of work. The biggest factor may be that they become disabled or sick. Also the overwhelming misconception of ordinary people!

  • @RolandMichalak

She seems like a highly inteligent individual. And from listening to the interview, the most honest thing she stated was self destruction. Which she cannot blame no one but herself for the current situation she’s in. Blind people work that I personally know off, people in wheelchairs work, cause they’re very concerned what their future will be like. Bottom line it's only what they’ve made it to be. When she gets to a certain age, no one will hire her for a descent pay, or at all. And welfare is and will continue to be uncertain. It is awkward that people don’t want to secure themselves for the future. With what she stated she should have a high paying job, not lose time that flies by very fast. Relying on boyfriends, or friends in general is a total waste, sad for her, and yet unsafe, and reality that had not totally kicked in.

Of all the homeless people I’ve heard in interviews on all these type channels she doesn’t at all sound like one : she has it worked out very differently - basically or mostly a very good person with a very good heart .
Someone you could trust for a start !

Very nice and intelligent woman. She is in a good space mentally, just perhaps has to move forward again with baby steps with her family.

    • @hasgoodles7807

This is nuts. She is not a in a good place mentally, dude, if she is living in the damn streets. Just because you caught this tiny piece of her life, you think you know the rest? A lot of selfishness gets people in these situations too. I worked in this community, and you would, be shocked by the things this woman has likely done to and taken from others, as an addict. This is b.s.

Of course I know shes homeless and her life is not perfect...lol. But....she has a great attitude, mindset and vibe going throughout this video. Thats all I was saying here. With that kind of positivity going, she will be in better circumstances soon!

A lot of suffering in our country. It will stop when people at the top stop being greedy. We need to put people first not profits.

What has gone so drastically wrong ,thats makes this happen to people like this lovely lady to be homeless.
I’ll tell you :it’s thses governments that don’t take proper responsibility to help this section of people that have fallen on difficult times.
They basically just ignore them, and the situation just grows.
Which is not good for any one tbh.
I hope she finally finds good fortune.
Call your mum n build bridges.

Why add more pressure to this woman’s life? Do you know what she’s been through, what her parents are like? Sounds like she has a good support system - relationships end and rightly so.
