I'd take off that guard to get closer to the grownd. But hey, trial and error.
The blade comes off easy. I bet the battery aint cheap. Good unless you have other equipment same brand with interchangable batteries.

can be used for hedging. Also hard to reach areas with grass that you cant get with lawnmower or weed whacker without damage. I use it for cutting near a stucco wall.

Good for trimming around trees because string trimmers can kill saplings by slicing the bark off. It is also used to trim grass underneath shrubs. Most people are used to the manually operated ones and this is a big help for people with arthritis.
