    This year, all the folks who normally don't wrap their round & large square bales probably are since NOTHING is drying with all this stupid rain!

    3×3s... Look a little short, must be 6'??
    We run 4×4s, 6'(+/-) because they'll fit in a ring.. only have one ring anymore, the rest are big bale feeders... Thanks for the video Mike!!

    Looks like he could use a bigger drop mat on that thing your definitely going to get some plastic damage as hard as those things are impacting into the stubble. Might explain why he's doing 827000 wraps on it.

    nice video Mike nice way of keeping the cattle feed but can only imagine what it costs for all that plastic wrap.

      It usually runs about $72 a roll. 24 Bales per roll roughly. But it's a nice way to put up feed have an awesome day

      Yeah, seems like a huge waste of plastic too.

      @@jermsmason2082 but it gives you a vastly superior quality of feed over traditional bales.

      Can you leave this bales outdoors exposed to the elements without damage, or you still need a storage barn?

    I grew up on a dairy farm and I have never seen them wrapped like that it is so 😎 do they wrap it for freshness?

      You wrap it if it is higher moisture content and it does preserve it as well

    Has any company made a machine that both baled and stacked the hay?

    My experiences with oat hay is that it draws mice and rats. Wouldn't they chew through that wrap and why are they wrapping the bales? It looks like dry hay. Maybe they're just storing them outside?

      The bale will ferment when wrapped like this.

    Is that burning last years plastic ?

  • @jimsmith9931
    @jimsmith9931 5 років тому +2

    If you watch the first part of video and see that black smoke that’s likely the lazy farmer burning that plastic wrap that was on those bales. I see it all the time here in Ashippun Wisconsin. Dispose that plastic wrap properly.

      Sadly, in most areas, there are no recyclers that will accept twine or plastic wrap, so......
      (Do I condone burning it? NO!
      But it is probably better than going to the landfill...)

      What makes you say that he is lazy? Or are you just an ass? I'd say the latter.

      Not many tires to burn in Amish country, ha ha!

    • @frank.s74
      @frank.s74 5 років тому +2

      They wouldn't dare to do that in Germany. (Maybe if its very foggy.) If you get punished, you could properly dispose many, many tires for the same money. They make lots of things out of old rubber tires.
