Cool thanks for holding up the headlamps to Little Jewel I thought they would look right on it. I am glad I could make a contribution to it. And thanks for shout out!!!!!!!!
Mr. B. Here ! Mr. Ian Roussel, I love your work ! Just would like said thank you am 70 and watching you has given me insight on just do it with metal ! Give my best to the shop inspectors ! 🧰🔩🛠️🔧 🍺🍺🍺🍺👍👍👍👍
Out of All the projects you‘ve Done , Little Jewel has got my Attention it’s one of the most Interesting project.I hope you continue with this project sir ,the plans you’ve shared how you want to Modify it sounds great. And every project you Done are great also, thanks for sharing your work 👍.
Damn Jamie you are getting good with the camera! Love the channel and all Ian’s projects. Consider wandering off the ranch and get some video of trains at Tehachapi Loop!
If you can't find a P30 steering box. Look for a for front steer rack and pinion, like from a 2010 and up Tahoe. You can rotate the input shaft to fit you cab position needed. Plus the new ones are electric power.
Okay, you're teasing me with the squareback project. I am already drooling over it. Little Jewel may continually change. Anyway, amazing stuff. Looking forward to the progress. 👍👍👍
Please acknowledge this content and do the things you can do to help it grow. It’s very interesting content don’t you agree? You probably know how to help, just please do it. Hop in that sorta cool water and relax in the refreshing glow that humanity is better for your presence. Thank you for the kind videos you two give freely to the world.
If you are not pissing someone off then you are not taking chances. Widening Little Jewel sounds perfect, your windshield solution is a simple solution but it is still a brilliant idea. Great to see you are cruising past 51,000 subscribers.
Enjoy your short vacation in your pool. The water will be warm there in the Mohave. Interesting idea with widening Little Jewel. As for the steering gearbox, how about an older GMC bus...
That's cool a lot of changes to little jewel is going to be perfect. Brothers trucks sells a bracket to change the gear box to the outside of the frame. But you can fab one it's cake to you contact them get the free catalog see the illustrated part and there you go.. I think the cab widened is a great idea. You both take care have a safe holiday and stay in the pool.
Did some custom work yrs ago learning new skills along the way. Someone knew I had a welder and got me to make a 3mtr steal decorative dome. Then after a dinner discussion about oversized art pieces from simple objects, I made a 1mtr timber clothes peg that now sits as a garden feature. Diversity makes life interesting.
Try using a 90's Chevy Astro van steering box, you will have to make an adapter plate to bolt it too your frame. It will work fine for your application.
Ian you did a van for a client on the show it was a ford falcon van if my memory serves me right I think the steering goes out then back to the box maybe something like that design could work for what you need?.it’s going to be a great vehicle when finished for sure Enjoy summer with your beautiful wife Jamie.
Chevy Express van (Gmc Savana) has inboard steering box and if you use the column it's double d and has 3 U-joints. I'm using this setup on the COE I'm building. I enjoy your channel!
The Internationals and old Ford straight cabovers from the late '70s have the style of gearboxes you need. Those straight truck Ford 1000 are everwhere in the farming communities, dairies and feedlots. I am sure you can get one off of those dirt cheap.
Upon further review, I believe those are 1939 Plymouth sealed beam adapter bezels for the "new" 7" headlights back then. Many 1939 cars had glass lenses and reflectors with small bulbs for headlight power. They would corrode over time and give that weak romantic glow if they worked at all. Stoll KD Lamp products tho.
Y'all are awesome, hope you are doing well brother and Jamie .hope little Jewel will wake up soon looking forward to seeing more Videos.i know you got a lot going on ,stay cooooool .
Just change mounting holes for the steering box. All of them are 90° then use custom pitman arm. Different applications use different mounting holes but all are 90° just rotate the box to align the steering shaft and fabricate pitman arm.
Thanks for the update guys. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
I like the variety and any wild ideas of Victor. Let us know about the new channel as soon as it is up. Just signed up for Motor Trend streaming to see more of your work.
@@fullcustomIan I know what you mean. I lived in El Paso back in the early 1980s, not a whole lot there. Rode through your neck of the woods back in 2017 on around the country motorcycle ride. Miles and miles of miles and miles.
Thanks for always sharing , happy to see your not limiting your artistic expression to cars only . Love your work you are truly an artist in all sense of the word ! My mother lives in Surprise Arizona to which I come visit every couple years , so I understand it when you say it's hot , it's a different hot compared to everywhere else in the states .
Wire spools: I played around with the ones I brought home from work and in the end I found that putting a piece of plywood on the top [cut to size] and 3" long pieces of 2x4 on the bottom for feet to keep the bottoms dry [I live in Michigan] worked out best. I used 1 monster-sized spool to slide my truck cap on when I needed to remove it. Durn spool weighted more than I could handle by myself [I'm at least as big as Ian]. All of the above ended up in my fire pit. I used them up as they were quite handy. Stay safe. Be well.
Ian , there's no more of your shows on Australian TV. Lucky we have You tube so I can view your latest interesting videos. Keep it up Ian good onya mate , that's Aussie slang. 😉👍

Very good of you, they're cool.
Thank you for sending them! They are beautiful and can’t wait to change them out!
Are they off a DeSoto or something from the 1940s? If they were British, maybe Bedford or Commer, but I think they are American.

Ian and Jamie, I really enjoy this channel and whatever other channel you come up with, I'll be there. Thanks for sharing your work.

I might be down for the other channel. I like your metalwork. The bug, Jewel and even that oddball train you did 😉😂😅😅
Oh yes it will be up in the near future 👽 too many ideas to contain
The banter you have with your video recorder is always fun too

Totally did your ideas & art work! lookin forward to your new youtube channel. 👽George the Glass man! 👽
Love Little Jewell! more Please!
Those are after market sealed beamed headlights for 1939 Dodge an Plymouth to replace the old bulb style headlights , I have a 39 Plymouth coupe , Ray
exactly what they are, good catch
Love the teaser car 😂😂 shorts aren’t bad either 👍
Enjoy your short vacation in your pool. The water will be warm there in the Mohave. Interesting idea with widening Little Jewel.

Thanks for sharing your work on UA-cam.

I would look at a G20 Van steering gear. P20/P30 would be similar but possibly not as available. They would also be an inboard mount gear box.

Cool stuff
can't wait to see the beetle done. love your work
Thank you! Jamie is excited to see and film it unfold as well 😎

Those lights might be from an old Rover P5... l like the way you think outside of the box Ian 📦 🤔 😉 👍
I have an entire frame that you can have. It’s a 5500 cab over. Steering shaft is almost straight up and down. I’m in Idaho. You are welcome to it
Those headlights look 👀 like ones from an ol British Taxi 🚕
I'm digging the idea of widening Little Jewel. Great head lights for it too. I have no idea what they are from but cool.
Thanks for the update, almost forgot about little jewel
Very groovy!!❤️❤️
I'm here for the beetle content. Do what you want. You're the creator. I'm just glad you're sharing.
I appreciate that
Lots more beetle content to come
I have a Wire Spool "table" just like yours in my bedroom with a 50" Sony TV on it. Oh yeah, and my favorite Irish dude, Paddy O' Furniture. LOL.
Y'all build it, we'll watch it. Thanks bunches and sorry for not watching live. Y'all'er aces.
All the goodies! It’s because we love you guys. It’s the Rousell extended family. Little Jewel got bad ass lights now. Okay be safe. Happy Summer ✌🏻
Have fun with it. Great to see your channel grow
I want more of the little jewel. I have been into this from the beginning.
All looking great !!!
Thanks for checking in. Your true fans appreciate it.
No worries!
I’ve just used castor shims behind beam they work great
Neat looking little buggy with caddy tail lights
Thanks Ian always looking forward for your posts
I can’t wait to watch if you widen the Little Jewel.

You guys are so much fun.
😎😎
Happy vacation guys, cannonball away and split the little jewel, add 4 inches and big wheels
Most cab over commercial trucks had angled steering boxes. Try Isuzu NPR, or Mack MB models.
When I was a kid. We use to race them doing the log roll on top of the cable spools.
Can’t wait for your new art channel, how exciting is that news!

Hey show more bug stuff also I like both projects.
Can’t wait to see more. 🇦🇺👍🏼
Very cool headlight’s
Yes, widen the jewel
Appreciate the content, I’m sure you’ll keep us posted on your other artistic endeavors
We absolutely will 😎

Enjoy your vacation. Excited to see what’s next. Keep them coming. 😊 Free stuff is great. My friend says he’ll take anything that doesn’t eat. lol
Might want to look in some old dump trucks , Mack r modals had steering shafts come straight up , Ellijay Ga
Good shape for the shape their in.
Awesome a new channel to learn from stay safe
Also love the bug I built a vw rail buggy for my first hand built project
Too cool 👍👍
86/87 Chevy c10 and 20 have the gearbox on the inner rail .
I love the prism markers integrated on the different headlights.
Cool
Those head lights with the little light above I truly believe off a mid 50’s Kaiser . Great find greater custom touch .
Thanks for the update guys. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
look for a right angle adapter for the steering box.

Thanks for the update, looks like you have a very full plate sitting in front of you. I say go for widening Little Jewel, give a new look.
Not much else to do in the middle of nowhere except create 😎👽

Surprise surprise thanks for the update been wondering about little Jewel now I know thanks for the video
Our pleasure!
As far as the steering box. Look into one from an Astro van. It comes out the top like you need.
The stock headlights look better on the truck, build a fender to fit the lights for some other project
HI FROM IOWA !........PEOPLE LOVE YOU GUYS
Hello!!!!
Happy for y'all getting some time down. Thanks for sharing with us.
Our pleasure!
Awsome update keep it coming
We will!

Stay safe. Be well.
Would love to see a build of the IH pickup, you should keep it.
dig the idea of wider.. that would match the rear wheel width!
I was watching a show and they use a 90 offset that bolted right on to shaft and turned it upwards.
Id definitely widen it.
Grande mestre do metal👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
happy 4th of july
Hey kids, looking good!
Thank you!
Def too hot to work but to enjoy some time off Ian & Jamie . Project can wait :)
How about doing a video on the square back for us it looks Kool. On little jewel what about widening the front fenders instead of the cab?
😊
😆 🤣, Bitchen lights . And I dig that ride behind you .
Ian , there's no more of your shows on Australian TV. Lucky we have You tube so I can view your latest interesting videos. Keep it up Ian good onya mate , that's Aussie slang. 😉👍
We are here to stay! Thank you for watching and commenting!
