  • 'Self awareness' has a simple definition: the mental activity that reflects back on itself, the mental process of being aware of oneself being aware. Is self-awareness a uniquely human trait? Some animals seem to disagree. The deep significance of self-awareness is how on earth can physical processes in physical brains generate self awareness?

The computer program that we're involved in has an AI and Voice system that each of our minds are connected to. So the self awareness is built into the program and connected to the AI and Voice technology.

Extremely good video but as someone with mental health, I don’t fit in anywhere

Wouldn't you agree that self esteem reinforces some behaviours that are "instinctive or maybe some others" also?'. Kids learn to walk and try and fall, fall and get up, fall.. That's a purpose of self esteem. To reinforce by themselves or the other. But basically at that age themselves. Like achieving self actualisation at that level or any other. What feeling good about yourself has purpose but in real life situations

I guess technically he said what self awareness is. However, I was expecting a bit more. I mean, I doubt most of us need an expert to tell us the dictionary definition of the word and the blatantly obvious benefits of having self awareness.

Well we are not that self aware. Just try to think of what are you aware of at one point in time. That's the reason self awareness is pragmatic term and should be understood in more general meaning like what's the purpose of it

Yes, but animals have some kind of self-awareness, at least some of them recognize themselves in the mirror... So, do they also use it for self-control?
And of course, there is no way of knowing if they have that "inner movie" inside of them, like humans.

I would say it’s counter intuitive to question if they have an inner dialog ( in their own language) I’ve worked with animals in one capacity or another my entire life and I can say, with full confidence, that yes animals think and feel and wonder and hurt and love just like the human animals we are.

"Glass half full or half empty": Does the glass even exist or is it just interacting pure energy in the form of glass as well as whatever might be in it? If the glass does exist, is it always full of something, maybe even many things, maybe even always overflowing of something, at a minimum energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation even? Learn to see the unseen. Learn to see not only with your eyes but with your mind as well. Expand your mind.

I have been known to drink from bottles at times too. I have drank from jugs also but they seemed to be too cumbersome for me, but they are nice as one can down a whole bunch of liquids from one container. Kind of like "wine in a box" too. But still, no matter whether it's a glass, bottle, jug, or box. The same principal above still holds. My container is "always" overflowing with something made up from energy. Cheers.

Sorry, but if you suffer from an executive function disorder, it doesn't matter what you do, it's next to impossible to develop self-awareness. I can tell you how to restore self-awareness by supplementing your body with a chemical that your body produces naturally.

A little shocked by the arrogance. Trust me, the ducks in the pond behind my house are more mature and abide in pure awareness more than humans. Who's wearing the suit?
