Spent two weeks there in the deep winter back in 73. (two of us) Lots of snow and peace and quiet. There is a rock shelf along the trail/cliff above it that makes for a nice "cave" All you have to do is use a piece of plastic to keep the weather out. There was a stone firepit in it, and a dirt bed built up with a couple of branches. Perfect for a sleeping bag or two. It was an experience. I haven't been back there for decades.
