Remember she wrote on Justin's post " if you dont want your fans to comment then dont post your picture with your girlfriend (Sophia Richie)". That was damn creepy. I knew from there that she feels so entitled that she thinks she could control Justin's life.
Yep her friend has gone to her they want to make it look like she was it's nice considerate person when she was young part is gone she thinks she doesn't need nobody no more dreams she knows what love is she hops for one man to another and makes Justin look like he was a bad boy abusive to her she brings her illness for her faults if she is this good person that she claims to be and forward person is to be honest because her life doesn't match up to what she's doing now says she doesn't care what people say but those people are her friends that God are worth you if it don't want people to talk back then keep your private business to yourself and just do what you're supposed to do we just sing and whatever it is she cleans to do a lot of famous people do it it's not any different that was once upon a Time that's awesome stuck to her music and whatever she would do now she's so busy wanting to be noticed always so needy full of drama that it gets annoying for some reason her voices changing and it's annoying too anyway comes down to she advise me so I stop watching and just look through the comments are they talk about her and I always feel I have a comment to say so people do change that's what she's going through
I find her so calculating and manipulative. I think she really needs a huge break from her public life and from social media, I don’t think she is fine, I hope she recognizes it herself one day! Very rich, very privileged, she has so many directions for her life to go in!? Idk preach kindness than be kind to others and yourself please!
I think she’s a narcissist. And she’s STILL bringing up Justin when they dated as teens a decade ago and he’s been married for years now… absolutely insane. How is she still heartbroken?!?! Whether it’s for attention or not it’s really bizarre. And I don’t buy the philanthropy bs, she cares soooo much about people while simultaneously treating everyone in her life like shit? She comes across fake as hell and seems like a terrible person.
What I find puzzling is she is worth $95m and then says “I hate this I want to do philanthropy” she has the opportunity to retire from the music and film industry and do just that if it makes her happy- so why doesn’t she do that?
Ummm exuse u she loves her job it was her dream since little , and at that time she even says in an interview that she doesnt even recognize hersefl looking back she wasnt in a good mental state well you would now that if you even watched the documentary
She will never let Justin and Hailey move on. Like someone said, she would take Justin back in a heartbeat. It’s sick and how she uses her fans to bully people for her is sick too. Like I said, she HATED fans until she saw how she could use them.
She ran back to Justin how many times after calling him out for cheating on her multiple times. Even now she thinks she still has a chance. Gawd they are married. leave them alone.
Honestly I don’t even think it’s love for him that keeps him hooked on this weird cycle w any girl Justin has interacted w, it’s her ego. If she got back with him she’d probably grow bored and leave again, it’s getting to say “in the end I still won” in regards to his exes that I think keeps her at this
Stop acting like you know anything from what you get from social media he was her first love he show cased how much he loved her all the time but fame got the best of him and he was not faithful but she was loyal and loved him always. & she has always loved her fans very much and since day 1 has always put them first not a huge Selena fan myself but I know that to be true she does a lot for her fans and that’s why they are loyal towards her and love her so much
@@MelancholyMaxxxshe has also cheated on him. She wasn't completely loyal. And no he didn't love her, he was infatuated by her and that's the reason why he cheated because he never got love from her just her entitlement and complains and calling him her little brother in her interviews.
She was mad because she wanted to be validated and the interviewer didn’t do that. Selena wanted her to say “oh wow that’s great! You’re so awesome & amazing.” It’s really all she ever wants to hear from people. She didn’t get that, so she threw a tantrum. Girl needs to grow up and learn that she shouldn’t relay on validation from anyone
Selena doesn't throw tantrums, she's cute. Jason Derulo! C'mon, uh! Everybody's lookin' for love, oh oh! Ain't that the reason you're at this club? Oh oh!
No,that's not right. She is exposing those moments because they are related to her changing mood and mental health feeling like she can't manage her crying or getting angry over (minor) things show us how mental health can damage mood and our relationships even small tasks. That's why instead of judging so fast you should look into bipolar disorder and chronic anxiety
Selena is the type of person i would definitely NOT like to have around, because there's only so much complaining i can tolerate before you make me loose interest in what you're saying.
@@airam-sj2172❤ exactly she’s one of those girls who is always needing to be told how beautiful she is and how good she is she’s an emotionally draining vampire!!!!!!
When she was mad at the interviewer I lost it. The interviewer isn’t her therapist. She doesn’t need to understand. It’s her job asking questions and then do her freakin job like her job is answering questions. Selena literally completely lost herself idk she changed so much in a negative way. Like i grow up with her when she was younger in the Disney time. I know people change when they get older but like she was so full of sunshine back then. It’s really sad.
this was about struggles as an artist and her mental health not actually a documentary on her life ,she didn't interviewed all her friends like Taylor not showed the problems with her mom . Cause this wasn't about her personal life, but her enduring career while having mental health problems,if you can't see it it is not her problem
I feel like, she’s actually very self centered and desires a LEVEL of validation and honestly I feel like she’s acting 100% of the time, like she puts on a façade of kindness. This documentary made her come off very ungrateful, self centered and attention seeking. also she dated Justin for less than 2 years before getting back together in 2018 for like 3 weeks and everything in her life seems to revolving around that. We’re acting like she wasn’t dating a minor? ( I know he’s 2 years younger than her but if roles were reversed, her toxic fan base would say she was groomed) Also expecting maturity from a 16 year old KID was dumb. This documentary also shows how toxic she is. Just watching it I felt exhausted, can’t imagine being her friend or partner. I wish she would touch on topics as such. Very surface level and THE DISRESPECT to Francia…
Right 😅 that must be so exhausting. I can’t even imagine when she was drunk/on drugs and they had to deal with that. They are 24/7 with her it seems like
yeah and if she has the nerve to act like this on camera imagine how shes like off camera, or how she treats justin and her friends. people keep saying that selenas the real victim because justin cheated on her blahblahblah, but never really talked about how selenas toxic herself. ive always had a bad vibe from her, and even though her musics pretty mediocre and catchy, i dont think shes a nice person at all.
I agree. She’s kind of a phony/narcissist deep down and that’s why she keeps preaching about kindness, love and all that. Kind people don’t need to keep announcing that they’re kind. Who is she trying to convince ?
Yes!! I thought that too, she looks like she’s acting all the time, specially the French interviewer scene when she’s like “it made me feel like Disney” and her whole team is quiet. It felt like a monologue she prepared in advanced to make her documentary more substance.
lol hailey was more truthful and forthcoming in the chd podcast than this whole damn documentary. such a miss. selena really thought she did something.
instead of running away from this disney image she should embrace it. It's what made her famous. If everytime she is going to feel bad about the disney image she is going to suffer
I really wish for people to see her real face ! THIS is Selena and she knows exactly what she's doing; She loves the chaos; Some people can't live without drama even if they know it's bad. She's sos elf-centered and she LOVES how her fans defend her in any sistuation, BLINDLY ! She literally USE them to destroy's other so SHE can keep her ANGEL IMAGE;
THAT is exactly why they were attracted to each other. They had something in common. It may have been that they were trying to "fix" each other. It is easer than fixing yourself. Also, they were very young when they were involved & that will be toxic. That relationship could never have been healthy.
It may have not even been then at all. Well not at first. They were both kids, snatched out of the real world, to a world of fame and excess and money that most people don't know how to react to, especially not kids. Then thrust them into a serious relationship at a young age, most of us would act out too.
I mean, she is older than him and waaaay more experienced. She had both her parents w/ her all the time backing her up while Justin's mom left him drift and even go live with off age/adult selena gomez, while he himself was still just a teen, a child for gods sake. Out of them both, the only one who ever spoke and only said ill sht about the other has always been selena while Justin's remain silent and IF he spoke about her, he never degraded, bullied or insulted her the way she and all her fam and friends have done foe the past 10yrs. She was no child when she got together w/ Justin, in fact she was disrespectful towards him countless times prior they dated. Ant let's not forget about the multiple times she was caught abusing Justin and the testimony of their old service people who all agree about how selena screamed at him and even escalated the fights to physical assaults. She knew what she was doing: world hates Justin more than they hate abuse and holding toxic people accountable for their actions, so she has a free pass to abuse him since the beginning and even today, she continues being a bullying Justin
@@seriouslyjoking2screams in Kanye and Kim Kardashian… Both of those people are broken narcissist. It is weird sometimes how unstable people seem to attract each other
I wanted to add a random bit of info that im aware of. You can get lupus from bad drugs. Inknow someone it happened to. Lupus doesn't always just happen to random people. She knows why she has all these issues. She abused her body. It must be hard to keep grounded as a celebrity. I just think she needs to quit or only work every now and then. She had enough money and she will be happier. But who is she if she isnt this big celebrity? Thats a scary cliff to jump off of.
Selena comes across as someone lacking gratitude. Disney is where her fans were introduced to her and what led to the majority her opportunities. She's criticizing the reporter and acting like a child for asking normal interview questions. How anyone watches that and doesn't see a spoiled brat is beyond me. edit: one last thought... Anyone that claims "they don't want to be famous", values fame the most.
You wouldn’t last a day in a life like hers. Everyone is asking the same questions but they don’t really care about her, not even a majority of the reporters. She feels not understood and all this pressure from the people… You took ONE thing from the whole documentary not considering the fact how loving and modest she is. She was suffering from lots of stuff and still managed ti put on a show. How dare you ti judge her for doing her best… Shame on you
@@kamilemazrimaite3375 modest is doing charity while NOT putting on a show of it. the constant crying needs to be between her and her therapist, not put on screen twisted in a poor me, look at me way. its indecent and manipulative. drawing from those 2 shining examples, she was also ''slumming'' it for the camera, not because she wants to be humbled but because she likes being reminded she has it better.
Gratitude?! Selena has always been emphasizing how much she is grateful for Disney and the life it gave her. This does not change the fact that Disney is like a huge machine that is supposed to do one thing - make money. People who work for such a huge company sometimes feel like objects, and this is a fact. I think a spoiled brat is someone like you - criticising someone who nearly died, struggled with serious mental diaorder and went through a breakup, all of these in fron of the whole world. Think before you write. You seem to have no empathy at all.
Yessss!!! Hell they even went as far as to start shit about Rochelle being mean to Selena which again causes her fans to hate on her as well as anyone else she doesn’t like
Not just her but every person suffering mental health problems and facing them,I find she being single is a great decision because she is now enough mature not to drag others like a lot of (so called healthy people does)
I can’t stand how hypocrite people are when it comes to Selena and Taylor, back when Taylor was shading Justin, people were like “oh Taylor, you’re so funny and iconic” but when Hailey once shaded Taylor, she received MASSIVE hate and it’s not just for Justin and Hailey but literally anyone, Selena and Taylor are allowed to shade others and they will be an icon for it but if somebody else does the same to them, people will be like “so you’ve chosen death” and also when Selena and Francia seemingly had a falling out and people were talking about Francia unfollowing Selena on Instagram, Selenators were like “this doesn’t mean anything, just because 2 people unfollowed each other doesn’t mean they’re beefing” funny because they bully EVERYONE Selena unfollows
my mom behaves exactly like this. everything she does is to get validation but when she doesn’t get it she throws a toddler tantrum. it’s exhausting. I looked up Selena’s birth chart and she’s an Aries moon just like my mom…… Aries is the most selfish sign so having it ruling your emotions makes sense that you have this terrible attitude. My mom is in her 50s and still acts like an entitled brat, I hope Selena grows out of it but she’s already 30 so probably not

@nidhi2304 same... like I'm not even taking sides at first. I don't personally like Selena but I like some of her music, I only knew Hailey after she got married to Justin.... but after hearing about the stuff selena did, I'm kinda leaning more on Team Hailey.
She has always been the mean girl. Even when she played a role like Alex Russo on Disney. Never liked her and thought there was something dark & sinister about her. Especially how she portrays herself as kind. 🙄 It's all fake and all an act to me. All she does is uses her fans to bully her ex who clearly moved on and is now married. Lost her old true best friend ( Demi Lovato ) who treated her like a sister and ditched her for Taylor all because she's popular. Disrespected the girl who donated her kidney that she herself is ungrateful for. Cries Infront of the media of how much her ex did her wrong when she used The Weekend and broke his heart just to immediately go back to Justin which shows he doesn't even like her or is thinking about her from the very least. Never takes full responsibility for her actions nor health. 30 years old still acting like a teenage brat who hasn't developed yet. Yet advocates for kindness??? She shaded Justin Bieber throughout her whole career and used his name just to gain sympathy to stay relevant. She's not an interesting artist but God awfully annoying af! And complains of how much she's so sad with her life because how Justin did her wrong. What she needs to do is go away and take her bitter self far away as possible and disappear for a few years where she needs psychological help!
Great video but you girls need to learn how to identify a narcissist. Selena is a classic case! Surrounding herself with enablers, can’t control her rages, see it beneath her to do interviews/promotions because her art and talent speak for itself, hiding her mean behaviour behind her health issues and other victimhood excuses. She dumped her friend because she doesn’t want to be constantly grateful, as a narcissist she probably think her friend should feel honoured to give her kidney to Selena. And this whole fake philanthropy image she embraced has a name - a communal narcissist.
I think the interviewer thought Selena didn’t want to be there because the tone of her voice, it sounds like she’s forcing herself to speak, Selena’s vibe was way off. I think Selena should have at least try to smile.
Thanks for mentioning it was a French interviewer, whose English is not her first language. She didn’t catch Selena’s facetious sarcastic passive aggressive comments about “really understanding” her future philanthropic endeavours. Clearly Selena’s edginess is more towards childhood trauma and not feeling heard or understood for decades on Disney but At least she even asked her about her future plans outside of entertainment. Sometimes it’s hard to watch knowing these celebs w all the resources in the WORLD to get healthier and to use their platform for good…. That don’t out of fear.. But was looking forward to watch her doc hoping to understand her better and thought she would really GO there and explain her past for her story to be told properly. She wasn’t ready and that’s fair but unfortunate. Just seems like her and her team really fear her to be seen in a negative light by glossing over the darkness just to be seen in a positive light by avoiding telling her true story. For example, Demi went there in regards to her past in a way that could be perceived as negative or bad for PR. I wish Selena and everyone else battling issues that are invisible illnesses the best. especially the ones without the money or platform to make a true difference that would if they could.
documentary seemed very SAFE, she didn't really touch on anything but just using the terms bipolar and lupus. give us the context girl, that's what we wanted. you shouldn't have been scared lol... you literally reveal nothing
@@ScandalousMediaTea I agree & since, Selena & her mother created this organization on mental health, you would think that Selena represents valuable information on mental health to her fans.
@@ScandalousMediaTea it did tho. You could see on her face when she felt free in Kenya and that she was basically asking her assistant/ “fake friend” if there was a way out for her and the girl says no this isn’t your reality and then she goes back and even when she’s being pampered and getting glammed up you can see her eyes gloss over and she looks almost empty. It’s like she was shouting let me out and everyone is telling her to find a way to be okay with staying in.
The part of the doc where she was in the mirror and was being asked those deep questions showed me why the documentary didn’t go in depth. She’s not ready to talk about those tough things. She’s not ready to talk about her inner self. This documentary was pointless.
Selena is more emotional than a toddler.. I used to be a huge Selena fan but when I became an adult .. Stopped caring as much lol especially that JB saga , like 🤢
For someone to hear voices and not know what’s going on, that’s more schizophrenic than bipolar. I truly think it’s borderline personality and she’s another Amber Heard. I’m sure Justin put up with a lot of dv just like Johnny Depp.
But Selena is more subtle than AH, which makes her more scary. Taylor Swift once said "If you know Selena is so smart, you would be very scared of her". AH hit Johnny, but we have the evidence. Selena uses only comments, which we translate as "victim needs support". She doesn't use physical violence. She use backhanded compliment, victim mentality posts to gain sympathy. Heck, I even doubt she has lupus. I even figure if she passing by this comment, she Will probably posting this on her social media and said "It's okay. I Will not let things things let me down", which subconsciously send message to her fans that someone is attack her, and send her fans to attack, then she Will come back with "Kindness, everyone". Ugh, Selena is sick.
She got more problems then that she’s being black magic on to me to from jealousy Andrew producer, priest, old priest, Mark and Zayn have a lot to do with it holding her captive under there spell me to david
She lacks a lot of accountability. She blames fame, Justin, promotions, and overall life. She just screams spoiled brat. The lack of acknowledgement for her kidney donor is wild. I have always felt the brat in her but I am glad people are also seeing she's not as good as she portrays to be.
How can you judge someone and call him a spoiled brat when they were at their lowest fighting depression, bipolar disorder and potentially fatal disease?! This is so hateful.

Many people who struggle with mental illnesses like myself know that there isn’t always a clear why to why you are upset, sometimes you just wake up crippled with depression and there is no context other than that’s the way you woke up. Also as for people saying she should be grateful and doesn’t have enough to be sad about. Depression doesn’t care who you are or how good your life is. It will make you feel like things are so dark even when it’s far from true. Also mental and physical health are so connected. Having chronic heath issues which I can also relate to having myself, I know that it takes a huge toll on your mental state.
Mental health is definitely a very important conversation to have especially in regards to Selena & her documentary. I feel like they could have done better representing mental health and this doesn’t mean it’s Selena’s fault but more like the production & reception of the documentary
@@ScandalousMediaTea I think the points in your vid are valid. There was a gap & lack of information to give substance to documentary. If they had, we, the audience, would've been informed & more understanding of her. I wonder, too, how involved Selena was in this process & if she had any say in the telling of her narrative. I think, too, that you were correct in your asking if Selena was uncomfortable in sharing her addiction struggles, etc.
I’m not really sure what your point is, comment is very jumbled. But the point you missed, is that they kinda just threw all these mental health issues at the audience, but didn’t explain in detail. Same with her physical health issues, other than she doesn’t do her meds. I was born with a extremely rare disease. I have struggled with my mental health because of my chorionic illness. I have also had a kidney transplant.
But if I’m going to make this big documentary about my life & how those issues have shaped my life. I’m going to go into detail to some degree. To that the audience has a chance to understand
I mean I can understand why she was upset about the interview but it wasn't the interviewers fault, you get barley any time with the person so you don't have time to elaborate on certain topics, the interview is paid to get the dirt... which again isn't her fault but this just comes to back how we as a society look at celebrities especially in Hollywood we treat them like mindless performing monkeys with nothing real to offer the world besides entertainment and it is degrading and demoralizing...
Yeah but she wasent suppose to do thst. She was just suppose to do the quick shot. She's not the audience listening to her story she's doing her job and needs to continue
I swear Selena Gomez is the personification of victim acting. Even at times when's she's the one doing people wrong or being a fake friend or manipulating her fans into bullying people. I'm tired of her always victimising herself and her fans also always victimising her. Her entire career thus far after Disney has revolved around her victimising herself through Justin Bieber, Lupus or mental health. She's not the only person in earth that goes through heartbreak or mental health, she actually has it way better than alot of people. There are alot of celebs with worse medical conditions than her but don't them dragging the life out of it like Selena did for years now. And if she's so tired of the being famous and not having privacy, she should just delete her socials and move away from the celeb life with time people will forget about you, alot of celebs have done it before. She's a 30 year old women, she should really throw that act away. Selena is a hyp*crite* and she's very calculated in everything she does. It's so surprising how people are so blind to it to this very day🤦🏽♀️.. Btw If you're pressed by what I said argue with ur cracked screen, I SAID WHAT I SAID!!!
Me and her fans were arguing about the same thing on Twitter. It’s always the same boohoo story with her. In conclusion one of her fans said I was emotional abusing Selena and I should die. 😂
I agree 100 . I don't understand how people are this blind. Her fandom is the most toxic, I wouldnt be shocked if she hires people to spread toxicity. Imagine the dedication of her fans to continue harrassing the biebers even today after years, just like how she can't stop with the Bieber narrative. She definitely incites her fans in a subtle way.
Well said, she act as if justin is her husband. This relationship is justin 2 years and he is not her first bf and she has a lot of bf's after they broke up.i can't imagine she still talking and crying about justin.she need to get herself together.
If someone listens to her now, going on and on about Justin, and doesn't know the story, they'll thik that she was with him until a few months ago and not years ago....
As an addict.. I really don't see the point of doing a documentary, that excludes the truth that Selena is an addict. If she really wants to do philanthropy.. that would truly be the best way. I really feel like this lie is holding her back.. not financially obviously- but in the ways that really make someone wealthy, full and happy. I hope she's doing better. Addiction is hard at the best of times- but must be really hard when it's such a deep and dark secret...
She is working hard, but so are most people, and the vast majority of the world is working much harder than Selena without getting much in return. Her work brings her millions and millions, luxury, Access to every doctor and therapists etc
her PR is great at removing the years of 2012-2016 when she was on meth and coke every moment of every day with Justin . There is the answer to those questions. after doing HARD CORE drugs for YEARS of course you will notice that part of her life missing and covered. She did not admit to any drug use here - she was so used to the chaos about HARDCORE drug use. We know for FACT she was on meth and coke , xtc, and a lot of weed and booze and she also addicted Justin to all this. maybe that is what she feels like she is paying for> maybe that is the guilt? and remember, she has a addict personality base. So there is manipulation and other things in there to look out for, beyind anger bouts and need for chaos
She did a lot of coke eith the weekend too n its seems ppl can get lupus by doing drugs... I am not saying its bcz of that but there is a BIG possibility there
The documentary felt rushed. I wish they went more into details about everything. I do feel a lot of empathy for everything she feels and struggles with. We might not know all the behind the scenes of what happened in her life but knowing she had psychosis I don’t think she should be working, she should focus on her health and live a slow life.
I have witnessed someone who went into psychosis & it is scary. This person had addiction & mental health problems. He gave up the addiction, but the mental health issues didn't go away. He was too oppositional to be helped.
This whole documentary was just then tip toeing around the elephant in the room and essentially the truth which is Selena was and probably still is a drug addict plain and simple! They can dress it up as “lupus” and “mental health” but the reality is all her erratic behaviors and violent episodes Most likely stem from that. Of course a person who’s on drugs is gonna appear bipolar and manic, if she had never tried a substance in her life and is truly doing life 100% sober and still has those issues then that would classify as mental illness but I don’t think that is her case and until she fixes that problem she’ll never be truly free of her mind and be able to heal
This documentary had so much potential to really show mental health difficulties and the person suffering, but they left out so many details that were needed to really showcase Selena and her story. There's no point in wanting to show the truth if you only show half of it, they shouldn't have cut out so much of the footage and just given the raw details. Selena has been going on about her difficulties for so long and gave the impression that the documentary was going to elaborate on those difficulties, but they were barely there.
Yeah she doesn't want to admit she isn't perfect. She wants to always be the victim in the situation. I really think people would have respected her a lot more and I think her fans would have loved her a lot more if she had been 100% honest. But I don't think she is ready to be a hundred percent honest with the world because she cannot be a hundred percent honest with herself.
@@WhitneyDahlinthat’s true but it’s also about publicity and how to market her image affectively they want to show her as broken somewhat relatable but not too broken. Otherwise like she did mention of the documentary brands, would not want to work with her. It would affect her image. There is a reason when you look at asian celebrities, the ones coming out of Korea, China, or Japan. Everything about their personal lives is pretty much under wraps. If they do have any mental health problems, no one knows until they typically off themthemselves. Everything is about maintaining their Brand and image.
When she was in Kenya, she asked the students if they believe in love.. Idk, to me I see more borderline personality disorder traits than bipolar. And I think her heartbreak with Justin majorly triggered that.
@xragdoll5662 First of all, nowhere did I say a break up CAUSED her bpd, I said it TRIGGERED it. It's a known fact fear of abandonment is a huge trigger for bpd. Second, childhood trauma is nowhere near the only cause of BPD, it is one of them, but claiming it is caused only by this is false. Look it up yourself, many things can cause bpd, some of which (and not limited to): being a victim of emotional, physical or sexual abuse, being exposed to long-term fear or distress as a child, being neglected by 1 or both parents, growing up with another family member who had a serious mental health condition, such as bipolar disorder or a drink or drug misuse problem, genetically inherited if a parent or sibling has it and the NHS specifically states, I quote "There's no single cause of borderline personality disorder (BPD) and it's likely to be caused by a combination of factors." The NIH states, I quote "In some cases, a person who earlier did not have a diagnosable personality disorder, may develop one later in life. Sometimes, emergence of personality disorder in older adults may be related to the loss of social supports that had previously helped to compensate for personality disturbance" So, in final, do you know Selena that well that you can certainly claim she experienced absolutely no trauma in her childhood or life for her to certainly not have BPD? And did you know that there is this thing called comorbid diagnosis where a rare percentage of patients have bipolar and BPD simultaneously?
She always acts like the whole world owes her something. Like something we don’t know. As if she was some sort of god. Like she breath and we all got to stop and admire. And if you don’t… she will crucify you
You ask why? Bipolar and depression is a mental illness. It literally affects you as a whole. Your feelings and how you behave is not normal. Is that not enough of a reason for you?
I really want these people, specially this admin to get everything selena has so that she will get the answers to her dumb questions, lol. I've never wanted someone to suffer but I literally want those people who make fun and money by constantly trying to drag someone down to experience the same suffering to shut their mouths.
I was confused with the Disney complaint didn’t you choose to be on Disney??? In her interviews she always says I am so grateful girl go sit down somewhere! And you were not a witch you were a wizard! 🙄
Weird..wizards of waverly place slapped lol. I wouldn’t mind people associating that with me. I never hear Sarah Michelle gellar complain about Buffy the vampire slayer or Scooby doo
there is no why for what you’re feeling when you have bipolar disorder and depression and anxiety. sometimes you flip on people and you don’t know why, it just happens. why would anyone need to know why she yelled at her mom? when she expresses she feels like a different person day and night, it’s because her moods go high and low
She did i am a selena fan too but i am tired of making shitty excuses and lies just to defend her i cant anymore she is indeed a horrible person i am not that delusional i can see through her bullshit now she also dont give a fuck about her fans just like she do to her friends she is a user she uses people when it benefits her at the end of the day we dont know real selena we only know media portrayed selena.
Yes ,I know I have it.Its so terrible! A fight every day. These girls don't have enough knowledge. I think they're just a little too young to experience being around a lot of people with this yet.but someday, they will surely understand if it's someone close to them.praying for all the struggling people here.if I didn't believe in Jesus ,I could not have even made it this far. ❤❤
I love that you guys always still try to understand yet still hold your opinion without crumbling to Selena’s truly obsessed fans who as I leaned from past two videos are actually quite angry and very rude ( not all, but those who disagree with another opinion).
I really want to know the average age of her fans. Look when I was a teen I was very much into certain celebrities so I guess I get it. She seems like a kind and decent human but none of us are perfect angels. But her fans swear she’s a saint and has never and will never be wrong about anything. Anyways, makes me wonder if the vast majority of her fans are under 20 or even kids. Not that there is anything wrong with having a young fan base but ya know it would make more sense. 😅
I don’t understand why people even believe celebrity documentaries. They’re actors, they’re playing parts, and are lying to you or exaggerating things. These people are rich and can fix their problems, but choose not to.
Always felt something wrong with the recent thing she did again like she was controlling the narrative & just drop everything when its escalating already like its not her fault 😩 im bipolar too so i do feel these guilt-ridden emotions when doing something upsetting....but u have to be accountable for what u did. Apologize and even though u know it will happen again, u do ur best to not to. Thats what she's lacking in 😩
Literally my point when everyone pulls the mental illness card when it comes to her ONLY- like I have bipolar too but I still need to be held accountable?? I can’t imagine if my friends were walking on eggshells around me the way they do with her. Even if I have a lapse in judgement during an episode and do something I regret, I OWN UP TO IT!!! I apologize and I flat out say I’m WRONG, but with her it seems like she doesn’t want to admit anything was wrong, and that anyone who does say so doesn’t care about mental health. Like, think of everything you’ve wanted to do when you’re manic and imagine how much worse the damage would be if you didn’t have anyone around you to hold you accountable. the women she sends her fans to bully also suffer from mental illness but when you remind Selena fans they flip back to say their mental illness doesn’t matter bc they’re mean girls, but when Selena is mean it’s BC of her mental illness…. 🙄
And being bipolar doesn't give her a validation card to lash out on others cause there are other bipolar people and they are not as privileged as her so they have to learn how to be accountable for their actions, this is where selena sucks
It's such a shame that they cut the parts of the documentaries that can answer all the questions in this video. Why cut it off? I am bewildered by their decision to cut it short, hope we get answers about that too.
What I think the context of her depression was "justin bieber" Cuz they started the documentary and mentioned him in the starting. I mean selena wouldn't allow to mention justin just at the starting of her documentary if he didn't play such an important role ..... And we all know there were so many ups and down's between them......... And the fact I don't understand is she didn't even mention her kidney transplant or fransia raisa they were also an important part of her life. But she didn't choose to mention it and didn't tell why she was truly depressed....
Well l don't know why she should be mentioning justin name at this time of the year, there are so many ladies that went through disappointment and breakup but they pick up their shit and move and they better off and ok. She need to do that, the relationship that lasted 2 years in her teen age common Selena.move on.
@@nuresolo I believe Selena has moved on. There's a rather plausible theory that people are just waiting for the bieber part from selena (music, movies, content, etc). Also the reason instead of her being able to mention francia as a plus point, she instead mentions Justin who has zero points. Like selena without bieber so... Another one that has a lot to do with the title "me n my mind", when she doesn't want to be associated with Justin but instead brings it up herself.
I, sincerely, believe what I wrote. By leaving out information, it is a disservice to Selena & it protects an image of her that has been created to make her look like a good girl. Hailey B. (in the past) has hinted at Selena being a hypocrite. And her many vids (lately) on Tik Tok is inconsistent with her saying that she is off social media.
The reasons why you girls are my favorites for this celebrities teas. You showed everyone how complicated the life's of this people, given ur thoughts and honest opinions. Ive learned a lot. Love you alana and angela. Take care
Finally someone said it! I literally had no clue why she was sad! She never gave a reason! I just think she should just admit I was sad because Justin dumped me💁🏼♀️
I think Selena have been so obsessed with Justin that she kept going through the same heartbreak again and again ,His marriage was the end to all her hopes that's why it was the best thing happened to her. Now she has no way but accept the bitter truth and move on
she was trying to push the depression doesn't have a reason angle. you just are, no matter what. i think its a cover for her just being a bitch, ungrateful and wanting money but not want to do her job and be professional and not wanting anyone to question her. she whines and cries through it. ugh.
Man imma say this because I think a lot of people won’t. Yes Selena may be diagnosed with all these things but they are excuses. They do not define her and she is not her symptoms. The truth is from what I’ve gathered from that doc and seeing what has played out years past is that Selena grew up to be a bitter bish. She’s bitter! The breakup is the root of all of this it seems like. And it’s easy for her to use her diagnosis’ and kidney thing and all these things as manipulative tactic to gain pure sympathy from people. She’s very much a person that needs her back pat through everything. Stop what you’re doing and listen to me “woe is me” for 45 minutes every hour. Girl 😒
@@yoambria3747 "Selena may be diagnosed with all these things but they are excuses. They do not define her and she is not her symptoms". Obviously you do not have serious mental disorders nor are you neurodiverse, so don't talk about what you don't know.
Entitlement like all celebrities and now influencers. Is so much harder to have an average life living paycheck to paycheck, imagine having all her health problem and being medium income families where your insurance is high and cop pay are higher! 🙄🙄
In her doc one of the things I didn’t understand was when she said her dad has many regrets and has apologised but they didn’t go into for what?? This was a miss of a documentary.
I am starting to think Selena has a personality disorder such as BPD. Maybe the quiet subtype. That's the hardest to detect. Usually romantic partners or close friends/family witness the symptoms.
I like Selena but I feel like she is hiding something. I think it's strange that she's been to rehab multiple times for lupus, but the places she's been at don't have lupus treatments. They treat people with drug- and alcohol addictions. Another thing that really bothers me is that she is still talking about the relationship with Justin. I feel like it's been years of her saying she's moved on, but it doesn't feel like it... and of course her fans won't let go of this relationship when she always brings it back up. it also must be very frustrating for Justin and Hailey. I feel so sorry especially for Hailey since she is the one who gets most of the hate online.
That's the problem with those celebrities and their "mental health". I'm gonna change the world, praise me, tell me how awesome I am, or, I'll have a break down!
Now I know why this is called "My Mind and Me", It's to showcase how Miss Gomez entertains her tiniest insecurities and projects them onto the world via her passive aggression and tantrums. Another good one, girls.
The doc don't have solid content... talking about justin and complaining about being celebrity. Ok? That's ur life???? Ok i used to have great respect for alek kashishian cuz he work with madonna back in the day.. but seing him direct this cr ap i think the talented was madonna editing truth or dare movie
Alek Kashishian was given more creative freedom with Madonna and when he wasn’t gonna have that same freedom for Madonna’s second documentary, they parted ways and she worked with someone else. Alek probably thought he could do more with Selena but eventually couldn’t
@@ScandalousMediaTea Madonna worked with Jonas Akerlund on the second documentary recorded on the 2004 reinvention tour and released in the fall of 2005 called I'm going to tell you a secret. we know madonna keeps it real and knows what to say and what not to say. She was always involved in editing everything she does to give the image that she seeks to reflect, which is more real than the one that Selena wants to give, which is victimizing herself. madonna on the other showed growth and basically the documentary is about her teachings in kabbalah and the tour, her father and her past and why she is the way she is today. but madonna has always felt real in her documentaries, remember that in 1990 alek was almost a novice and madonna had a great influence on the editing. basically it was a job of the 2. 👌🏼
If she becomes truly candid w what her issues are, public interest in her would dissolve and I think she knows that. Not everyone needs issues/problems/relatable to stay relevant and interesting. But some do, idk if that's Selena but, rn it seems that way.
This is bipolar disorder 101. However it would’ve been more powerful for her to have these scenes shown and then have Selena talk about how bipolar was affecting her and how it looks from the outside
The difference between Selena & Meghan Markle is that Selena can feel guilt for her bad behavior & she genuinely has compassion for other people. She is an entitled position because she is the breadwinner in the family. She is the one that makes the money, so I don't know how her mom has any control over her and what she does? Her team is on her payroll, so they have to put up with her tantrums & meltdowns. I understand that being asked lame questions over & over again can be draining, this isn't the most difficult job in the world. There are far more worse conditions that people have to work under than getting dolled up, wear an expensive dress, look pretty & smile for the camera. She is living her dream, this is what she wanted to do & it's a privilege to have this because not everyone succeeds in making it big...there is stress & pressure in this industry...Yes! What job doesn't have this? I wish her well too, but when I look at someone like Natalie Portman, she is also a child star that grew up in front of the cameras and she has always lived a very private life. She is also an A list Hollywood star, but flies under the radar. There is no controversy with her & she has never had a substance abuse addiction. I think it's because of the lifestyle choices she made.
No but try putting yourself in her shoes, not from your perspective, what you see is the outside and not the deepth of how it is or how it must feel like. Being in that position while dealing with all of you’re own issues and problems but having to fake a smile and be perfect for the camras while everyone eyes are on you and whatever you do or say Will be judged must be hard. And expremely lonely because no one understands. Nobody can truely understand more than others in her position or similar situations, which the average person doesn’t deal with. She’s even said she never wanted to be famous, she loved acting and it was something she always wanted to do, but with that comes other things you might not always think trhough or understand at the age she started.
@@Max-ec2dj It's not that I can't understand that she is being judged & publicly scutinized. I have a hard time believing she never wanted to be famous because she is very attention-seeking. She has a tendency to overshare & put her business out there, and I get that it's good for publicity & business. She dates high-profile men & she hangs out with high-profile people all the time. There are successful celebrities like Jessica Alba who have been in the business a long time since she was a teenager, and they don't get caught being drunk on the red carpet or instigating feuds with ex-boyfriends on social media.
As an interviewer they are damned if they do damned if they don't they are always told before they go in to be as quick as possible and not waste any time and they are lucky to be getting anything from the very busy celebrity they are interviewing. The interviewer thought she was doing Selena a solid by making it quick and painless so she can move on with her day
I felt they were trying to portrait how depression can put you in this victim mentality, projecting your problems to others. Also mania can make you irritable and paranoid, and I think that’s what they are showing. Also, keep in mind lupus is a cause of depression, which I think is Selena case. I feel at the end of the documentary she seems more grounded and her victim mentality seems to improved.
Maybe that’s what they were going for. But if no one else has picked up on that, they didn’t communicate it well. And it would be good to show how to avoid sinking into that mentality. It’s so hard to go through this and be a person you don’t want to be, BUT we still have to take accountability for our actions and work on preventing them in the future. We all have reasons but we don’t get excuses.
@@katiegriffin7597 they didn't explain for every person out there but people suffering from mental health will understand without small captions on it just as psychologists do.
@@ItisBerserk well to be totally fair, I didn’t watch the doc but based on this, I didn’t think they did a good job of it. That’s VERY possibly because I saw it edited to fit this review. But 1) the documentary should help everyone understand mental health struggles, especially those who don’t have them, because those who do already understand and those who don’t are those who view it with a stigma. So if only people who already understand the struggles of mental health are the only ones who “get” the documentary, then I feel it kinda falls flat. And 2) I would have to watch the documentary (I want to, but I don’t have Apple TV) to see how it reads, but I *have* struggle with mental health since high school. I’ve been diagnosed as bipolar and on bipolar meds for 8 years and gone to therapy for years and years as well. I have gone through mental health struggles basically my entire adult life. So please don’t assume my critique comes from a place of not having experienced this myself, quite the opposite. Learning that my mental health struggles can help me understand why I tend to behave a certain way but that I still need to take accountability AND that if I don’t like how my disorder makes me act then it’s my responsibility to focus on myself and getting better.
I see pain on Selena's eyes all the time, she is not the same person from ten years ago, it's seems like she was happy in the past, but now she is not, i feel the same in my life ... after a brokenheart 🤦🏽♀️
I think the problem Selena had with the interview was a little more complex. I don’t think her behavior was appropriate, but these are usually long press tours, not just one 2-3 minute interview. It’s usually hours of the same questions over and over again and it’s draining, so here this woman was asking different and good questions, but then she doesn’t actually engage with Selena. I get her being bummed and feeling cheap and let down. Still doesn’t excuse her behavior, but just wanted to point that out. If you want a good example, watch that Mika Kunis interview from years back with the nervous British guy. She is SO ENTHRALLED to have someone just engage with her and not ask the same questions, she’s starving for a real interaction.
We all know what "mistakes" those are, which btw she keeps making. Only to instantly victimise herself and act coy and "it wasn't my intention. That's not what i meant, please stop attacking me 🥺 Be kind to everyone, be like me"
The documentary has no substance besides her crying. I felt her frustration. She was sharing her heart and the interviewer said ok that's good. I feel Selena is exhausting.
The fact that I’m seeing more hate comments about how everyone thinks she’s being so dramatic or that she’s being arrogant is ridiculous. Not knowing what she’s going through and are only assuming the worst is mind bottling. That’s literally what this whole documentary is covering about, but still people are thinking she’s awful. If people were in her shoes, if they felt what she felt her whole life then it would be understandable and there’d be no criticism. The part where she got upset over the interviewer was cause she felt like she wasn’t being taken seriously for her honesty. Her anger should’ve been taken carefully, but you know we’re humans. We’re mental, we’re confused, we make a lot of mistakes in our life. We say things we don’t really mean. It’s part of life. All we can do is except it and own it. And that’s what she’s trying to do. She cares about the people she’s close to, she cares about her relationships and she’s still sincere to what they’re feeling and how she’s trying to be better at it. God, people need to look beyond her flaws and accept that she’s not perfect and that she’s just like the rest of us who are struggling to be heard, to move forward, and to be free and not feel so stuck in between with what everyone wants us to be that we don’t.

Being anything is hard. She definitley victim blaming everything. Yeah being a celeb is hard but they still got paid more than us ordinary people. we get paid lesser. They Have more money to enjoy their life. Go for vacay. Not everyone have that. She should be grateful that she got the role at disney. That is her breakthrough. Even you dont like it dont be bitter about it for so long. I kinda saw selena is a type of person that hard to move on from her past. She has her makeup line now. It doing so well. Obviously she can retired from the entertainment industry. But she choose not to. She kinda attention seeker.

yeah and if she has the nerve to act like this on camera imagine how shes like off camera, or how she treats justin and her friends. people keep saying that selenas the real victim because justin cheated on her blahblahblah, but never really talked about how selenas toxic herself. ive always had a bad vibe from her, and even though her musics pretty mediocre and catchy, i dont think shes a nice person at all.
I agree. She’s kind of a phony/narcissist deep down and that’s why she keeps preaching about kindness, love and all that. Kind people don’t need to keep announcing that they’re kind. Who is she trying to convince ?
@@helena-ff3pi omg SO TRUE. its like when ellen degeneres kept telling people about her “be kind” persona, when we all know shes rude to guests, etc
I really wish for people to see her real face ! THIS is Selena and she knows exactly what she's doing; She loves the chaos; Some people can't live without drama even if they know it's bad. She's sos elf-centered and she LOVES how her fans defend her in any sistuation, BLINDLY ! She literally USE them to destroy's other so SHE can keep her ANGEL IMAGE;
Can't imagine how toxic Justin and Selena's relationship was. They're both so broken...
Thats he ended up with Hailey she seems to be more stable

Selena’s career has been based on being a professional victim.
yup! 😃
She is Bipolar .....they dont act right
the reporter is dumb
The whole documentary is about her gaining sympathy from her fans and other people watching. That way she will stay relevant

Without Disney, she would be nowhere

Finally... People recognising that Selena is the real mean girl and the bully who plays victim card. Poor Hailey.

I love Selena Gomez but I can already tell this documentary and it’s press for it is going to be the start of her downfall.
People are starting to see her for who she really is
Great video but you girls need to learn how to identify a narcissist.
I agree, Selena even gave this big sigh before answering the question
Exactly! That’s why I also felt like it didn’t represent mental health that great either. There was no context.

Having mental health issue/s doesn't give you the right to flip out on a person though
Because she wants to be treated respectfully as every other person, besides having anxiety attacks doesn't help. Remember this a self critic

I am not saying its bcz of that but there is a BIG possibility there
How do y’all know all this is true? That she did those drugs? Prvwas it hearsay? Or facts?
The documentary felt rushed. I wish they went more into details about everything. I do feel a lot of empathy for everything she feels and struggles with. We might not know all the behind the scenes of what happened in her life but knowing she had psychosis I don’t think she should be working, she should focus on her health and live a slow life.
I have witnessed someone who went into psychosis & it is scary. This person had addiction & mental health problems. He gave up the addiction, but the mental health issues didn't go away. He was too oppositional to be helped.

@@Blufishii the document showed how trapped she felt in her life and how the people around her gaslight her for wanting to get out of it.
BPD comes from childhood trauma not break ups
@xragdoll5662 First of all, nowhere did I say a break up CAUSED her bpd, I said it TRIGGERED it. It's a known fact fear of abandonment is a huge trigger for bpd.
Second, childhood trauma is nowhere near the only cause of BPD, it is one of them, but claiming it is caused only by this is false. Look it up yourself, many things can cause bpd, some of which (and not limited to):
being a victim of emotional, physical or sexual abuse, being exposed to long-term fear or distress as a child, being neglected by 1 or both parents, growing up with another family member who had a serious mental health condition, such as bipolar disorder or a drink or drug misuse problem, genetically inherited if a parent or sibling has it and the NHS specifically states, I quote "There's no single cause of borderline personality disorder (BPD) and it's likely to be caused by a combination of factors."
The NIH states, I quote "In some cases, a person who earlier did not have a diagnosable personality disorder, may develop one later in life. Sometimes, emergence of personality disorder in older adults may be related to the loss of social supports that had previously helped to compensate for personality disturbance"
So, in final, do you know Selena that well that you can certainly claim she experienced absolutely no trauma in her childhood or life for her to certainly not have BPD? And did you know that there is this thing called comorbid diagnosis where a rare percentage of patients have bipolar and BPD simultaneously?
She always acts like the whole world owes her something. Like something we don’t know. As if she was some sort of god. Like she breath and we all got to stop and admire. And if you don’t… she will crucify you
thats how i feel too like why gotta bow down to her and love her and if we dont she’ll get us!! like calm down lmao!!
You ask why? Bipolar and depression is a mental illness. It literally affects you as a whole. Your feelings and how you behave is not normal. Is that not enough of a reason for you?
this is why we have meds for it. just because you are bipolar doesn't mean you can treat people around you like shit.

I am bewildered by their decision to cut it short, hope we get answers about that too.
so that they can make you feel sympathetic for Selena through these things but not show her true image and bad behaviour
Tired of celebrities using mental health as an excuse especially when they have the money to improve it..if they want
More money doesn't equal more happiness.
@@angelinaxarmstrong never said it did
What I think the context of her depression was "justin bieber" Cuz they started the documentary and mentioned him in the starting.
There was a part about the kidney transplant in the documentary & there was a pic of Francia & Selena
@@nuresolo Another reason that the documentary failed.
It's too bad that Selena's production team never heard your critique because they could've done a better job.

Exactly, maybe she think justin will run to her🤣🤣
@@nuresolo Exactly, Justin has long moved on. it doesn't matter if they dated for 10, 20 or 25 years he's a married man now
Exactly
Finally someone said it! I literally had no clue why she was sad! She never gave a reason! I just think she should just admit I was sad because Justin dumped me💁🏼♀️
Exactly, but for how long? It has been decades now
I think Selena have been so obsessed with Justin that she kept going through the same heartbreak again and again ,His marriage was the end to all her hopes that's why it was the best thing happened to her.
I appreciate demi lovato documentary...it had depth...though I understood the manipulation but still, I realized how much she went through
Now I know why this is called "My Mind and Me", It's to showcase how Miss Gomez entertains her tiniest insecurities and projects them onto the world via her passive aggression and tantrums.
She seems very difficult and NEEDS to stop plastering Justin’s name everywhere- she’s had a laundry list of men…I dunno something is very spoiled here
If she becomes truly candid w what her issues are, public interest in her would dissolve and I think she knows that. Not everyone needs issues/problems/relatable to stay relevant and interesting. But some do, idk if that's Selena but, rn it seems that way.
You guys did a wonderful job! I'm really impressed with your work. I'm hoping to see a video of Taylor and Selena's friendship.
Thank you so much! ❤️ definitely keeping Selena & Taylor in mind
This is bipolar disorder 101. However it would’ve been more powerful for her to have these scenes shown and then have Selena talk about how bipolar was affecting her and how it looks from the outside
I thought that’s what my mind and me was supposed to be
Selena is so toxic. I don’t know how her fans don’t see it
The difference between Selena & Meghan Markle is that Selena can feel guilt for her bad behavior & she genuinely has compassion for other people.
LOL.
She shows alot of Narcissistic traits. Yikes!
As an interviewer they are damned if they do damned if they don't they are always told before they go in to be as quick as possible and not waste any time and they are lucky to be getting anything from the very busy celebrity they are interviewing. The interviewer thought she was doing Selena a solid by making it quick and painless so she can move on with her day
I wish I never watched it lol I liked her before, now I can't help but look at her as a professional victim with a great PR team.
I have a feeling her close friends are behind this too! Choose a friend wisely as they say...
That's not what i meant, please stop attacking me 🥺 Be kind to everyone, be like me"
I love that you guys are posting almost daily now, it's amazing ♥️ thank you 🙏

She carries Huuuuuge guilt, for whatever reason. Pain and guilt. 💔
I think Selena is a hypocrite
Same
The documentary has no substance besides her crying.
