Question: will this warp the the arrows in any way. I'm a new Comer to archery and recently lost an arrow tip and another the insert is partially out. The kind of arrows I have are Tiger Archery SP 500 Predators if that helps. Arrows are inexpensive I just don't want ruin any of them before I try this
I shoot a range of carbon arrows of varying quality and I haven't had any issues at this point with warping using this technique for removing points. I have heard of some people having issues using torches and lighters however. The hot water is a little bit softer on the carbon in my opinion. Good luck!
@@PointOnArchery thank you for your response it took some doing but managed to extract the tip and insert. I agree this is safer than torches and lighters for reasons that are obvious
Candle flame isn’t doing it for me. Can’t wait to try this! So how do you boil water? LoL I crack myself up!! Thanks dude!! Update: Your trick didn’t work for me either. But it was an arrow I found while hiking in the woods, so it’s no great loss. I did end up twisting so hard that I sheared the point off its mounting shaft, which broke the arrow shaft to 27 inches long. That’s way too short for my 29 1/2 inch draw. I guess the guy who built this arrow used JB Weld… 🧐 Your suggestion is still a great idea, and I will try it before the cigarette lighter next time. Thanks very much for the video!
Excellent presentation! Lots of humor and straight to the point! Thank you !!
Does this work to remove points from wood arrows?
This man needs more likes this was so helpful
You had me dying at the blowtorch part. Loved it 🤣
What best way for replacing arrow tips
So simple! Thanks so much for this.
Nice! That’s gotta be the most efficient way to remove glued arrow tips!
Great tip, nice production, thanks
Good call on the big stein! I’ve used boiling water but in smaller containers and one at a time. Need to get me one now!
👌 I've been doing it wrong..
Excellent tip.

great tip! really helpful, thanks!
How to break off the 10g -20g segments? I tried pliers on my Victory points. Not breaking off. I'm afraid I'll bend the long section if I force it.
Never mind. TWO pairs of pliers does it with some work
Nice video man I’m going to give that a shot later. Thanx.
You're welcome! I'm glad you liked it and found it helpful.
Is your glue epoxy or hot melt?
Hot melt.
You use epoxy for collars that are permanent on the shaft. Never points or bushings that needs replacing if damaged.
Fun video again... Cheers for the hack
You're awesome bud..
Neat~Fun!
Best~Regards

Brad. An excellent fucking video as always. Will definitely be doing my arrows that way next time
and what if they are super glued
It really only works if they are hot melt glued.
genius 🤩👍
