Why won't NASA revisit Apollo landing sites?

It's an honestly good question: why won't NASA return to the original Apollo landing sites? Wouldn't it be better that way, so they can retrieve evidence of their landings and put an end to so many conspiracy theories? Well, it's not so simple.
