As a straight guy, I fucking loved this movie! Literally watched it two nights in a row. It does a great job of representing LGBT women but also makes the characters likable and relatable to anyone. One of the best comedies I've seen in years, Emma Seligman & Rachel Sennott are a power duo- keep making movies together!

I absolutely agree with you people should use the word lesbian more BUT I think the reason she used queer is because she wanted this movie to be for non straight women not just lesbians for bi, pan, and other non straight women
Although I think a movie just for lesbians would be great
why are y’all so intent on gatekeeping these movies? yes, the main characters are lesbians and they say it in the movie. but the entire movie is about the queer experience, not just the lesbian one. plus, we don’t even know the sexuality of characters like hazel and isabella, they could be bi or pansexual, for all we know. there’s nothing wrong with using the words “queer” or “gay”, it’s better to use umbrella terms than to box the movie in just one category.
