Easier solution: wooden cage. Still can wander freely, the wandering thing still works. It does NOT need to wander to pick up eggs though, it just has to be close enough to pick up an egg. Higher level Oviraptors have a bigger range.

If you want to go for egg generation, you can create a small pen for the Oviraptor to wander in if you aren't going to make a full Paddock for the rexes. Don't forget to Empty beaver dams, or they won't respawn/refresh. And for your Rex hunt, if you don't find a good rex in an area, kill EVERYTHING in the region. Mass dino culling will create more chances for a good dino of the type you are looking for. And it gets more XP to boot. :)
If you’re going for the Broodmother I wouldn’t worry about rexes, Megatherium are by far better for that boss fight. They have a 150% melee multiplier against bugs, when they kill a bug they get a buff with a 250% increase in melee, which stacks with the 150% against bugs. They also have 75% damage resistance when buffed with Insect Killer. They are bug killing machines. Breed for health and melee and you’ll have an army equipped to decimate the Broodmother. Don’t let them near your Rhynio though when taming.
100% agree with this, for gamma they don't even need to be that special. Breed up 20 with ok stats, don't worry too much about saddles other than basic ones and it should be an win. Do ride the YT though.
@@Fingle_Fleetfoot you’re right, I forgot the Yuty. I think it’s a 25% buff on both tamed melee and damage resistance. What sucks though is that it’s best to hang back when riding one and let the Megatherium do their thing, rushing in with a Yuty is a great way to get it killed fast. So can’t really join the fight, but can buff from a distance.

I’m also glad you’re not like an Ark expert because man can I relate with some of the hiccups along the way haha. Can’t wait to see what adventure happens next!
Given the lack of desirable Rexes in the wild, I'd almost suggest culling _everything_ you can in some biomes. That way, you have greater respawn chances to generate good Rexes (among others), get a ton of exp for whatever you have culling them (probably Dawnsever, Rhynio's are rather strong as a whole, I've noticed), and possibly even generate dinos with some exotically beautiful color patterns. Also, don't forget to empty the wood from the beaver dams as well, even if you just toss it on the ground. As long as loot remains inside, the dams won't refresh/respawn, if I'm remembering correctly.
04:48 34 points is a decent melee stat, 40 points is very good and 50 is exceptional. Don't forget piscivores only eat fish and all carnivores will eat all fish out of a feeding trough first leaving your piscivores without food. Some ways to handle this is to set a feeding trough out of range from carnivores and in range of piscivores, feed them in inventory or farm fish everyday. There used to be an S+ feeding trough for ASE with inclusion/exclusion settings but i have not seen an ASA version....yet.
Take the ovi off of wander and place it near the dinos you want to collect from. Best to have 2 or 3 ovi if you want different species of eggs depending on how far apart your dinos are. Rhynio can pick up large dinos, such as a rex.
Baryonyx, and the Sabretooth are hands down my favorite mounts. I was committed to riding wolves and bears for a while, but the sabre just handles caves a lot better in my opinion. Of course, your roach mount thing is legit OP ha ha
Concerning your update on Patreon, I’d love to see your content on scorched earth in march! I would suggest playing a bit of single player on old Ark survival evolved before doing so on ASA as scorched earth has a brutal early game with sandstorms, water, and severe heat. Get a feel for it so you don’t get frustrated during recording time :) love all your content always.
If you want a kibble farm, then level doesn't matter, if anything low level is better for least time invested in catching them. And you do want the industrial grill for cooking up that kibble efficiently.
btw there's another spyglass mod, it has all the same functionality as the one you have except it also shows you the creatures most to least preferred food and how much of each exactly it will need, the UI is less intrusive imo too, it should be either the first or second most installed spyglass mod if you're interested. Also if you change the setting "maximum difficulty" to on it makes high level dinosaurs spawn more often, may need to use destroywilddinos for it to take effect though, it wont make the game too difficult, just stops you finding levels 10-50 constantly
You don't really need to worry about breeding for stats in order to take on the Gamma level bosses. I've never had an issue with taking out the Gamma bosses using standard tames. Just tame the highest level couple you can find (preferably with kibble to get the extra levels), then just breed those to increase the size of your boss army. I would recommend nothing lower than level 120, tho. Now, once you decide to take on the Beta - and especially Alpha - bosses is when you'll want to start breeding for stats, although I was still able to take out Beta Broodmother and Ape with standard tames. Rexes are good for either Broodmother and Ape, although Sloths are better from Broodmother due to their damage buff against bugs. You'll definitely want to use Therizinosaurs for the Dragon, since herbivores take less damage from the Dragon's attacks (not fire breath) and Therizinos have stats comparable to Rexes. Also, since Therizinos are herbivores, you can load them up with Sweet Veggie Cakes to act as healing packs during the fight.
Carno isle has increased spawn rates, i think your best bet is to farm rexes there. The small islet just NW of carno is a fairly safe place to set traps as long as you don't attract attention from the main isle. I have a small outpost, a rex and argy trap setup there and only get an occasional wandering argy to deal with. Kill everything on carno isle until a good rex spawns, don't be discouraged by wild stats as you won't know for sure until bonus points are randomly distributed on tame. Say you have 74 bonus taming points and 15 go into the stat you want then that 30 point wild stat was excellent, that would be a lucky stat roll. High food and oxy stats are a no go for me as well as a really low number in the stat i am looking for. For me, 30 points is worth taming for a possibly lucky stat roll, you can always feed an unlucky roll to the sharks 😆🤣

While on Ryniognatha hold CTRL and press left click to pick up dinos, it can pick many big dinos, including rexes. Therizino is basically equal to Rex, its little bit weaker on damage and health side, althou its pretty close, but its much smaller and have MUCH better turning radius, so i usually prefer them over rexes. u also want Therizinos for Dragon boss fight, since it have reduced fire damage it takes from dragon fireballs, and as herbivore it can eat Sweet Vegi Cakes which will restore 10% of its health each time it eats one. Hope ull get to endgame, ARK have so much content that only small percentage of people experience, which is a shame.

@@Fingle_Fleetfoot So far as I know, melee stat increases pickup range across foundation distance equally.
