Very good explanation!! Iwant to make some diy project.. any complete DIY .. HOW MUCH WIIL IT COST ME..I aslo need PELTIER MODULE for my cooler. 12 v. 45 w .30mm x 30mm.. how much?? Thank you very much!
Hi! I wanted to control the peltier using a relay, and I used an ac/dc adapter with 12V and 3A. The peltier worked some minutes and then it broke. I dont understand why. Do you have any idea? Thanks!
I think the problem is with heat. If the one side of the peltier gets too hot then it draws less amps. As you saw in the video, mine wasn't good either so it could also be a quality issue as well.
Hello! i have an old PC power supply and its output is 12v 16A. im wondering if i can connect a TEC1-12706 peltier? since its 12v 6A, it can broke? or will work well?
Hello! I'm currently doing a project involving 12706. I was wondering how you would control the temperature on the cold side constant. Can I use a PWM MOSFET configuration to lower the voltage on it and thus reducing the temperature difference? Thank you!
Usually, these things work in a temperature bracket . For example let's say you have to mentain a temperature between 2-4 degrees , so it'll first start and bring the temperature down to 2 degree and turn of the system. Then after some time when the temperature rises back to 4 degree it'll start again and bring it down to 2 degree. You can implement this with Arduino and a temperature probe suitable for Arduino and a relay to turn on and off the system. Hope this helps.
Very good, nicely done..
Helpful, thank you
You have connected the temperature sensors & fan in series connection. right??? @8:45mins. By the way great video.
It is in parallel only.

They cost about $2.70 apiece on Amazon.
ah ok depends on the model because 12706 is 6amp and 12703 is 3amp right
Yes, this is their standard naming rule.
what happening when i use power supply 12v 12.5 A for one module peltier 12706

You need more Amps I think for 12v it needs 4.5A
I connected peltier to inverter battery but it is drawing only 2 amps!!
So is it the fault of peltier or something else?

Will work well
how many amps is needed to cool properly
It is rated for 6 Amps
put the heat sink in ice an water an it will go lower by 15c
about
Hi can 3amp be used?
Yes, you can but cooling effect will be less.
switching ps ok for peltier?
Hello! just want to ask whats the specs of the power supply that you used?
It's a 12v 10A power supply, if you want you can check our review here->ua-cam.com/video/BagBIaBNnXc/v-deo.html
@@INOVATRIX thankyouuu
plz share heat sink buying link
Just search for a CPU Cooler.
Is it okay to use 12V 5A power supply?
Yes it should be fine.
Sure I can achieve less than 0 degree Celsius from 12706 temperature

@@INOVATRIX Really appreciate the reply! One question again, instead of a relay what are your thoughts of using a power MOSFET to control the peltier?
Haven't really worked with them so can't help you in this field.
@@INOVATRIX Alrighty. Thanks nevertheless. :))
how to do this with a thermostat
It will be a bit complicated as we will probably need to usa a ARDUINO board for temperature sensing monitoring and management.
@@INOVATRIXit depends upon the purpose of project otherwise u can opt for 3230 or 1209 temp controller only. Correct me if I misunderstood.
All good but its approximately 5 minutes work and you take it long as you can
can i use 12v 2a?
2A adaptor would work but the cooling effect will not be that much effective as there isn't enough power.
