Hope you liked this one, my arms are still sore lol. And don't forget, Opera is sending a few lucky winners on a six-day retreat at one of their 10 Hygge Desk stays across Norway. If you want to experience that kind of coziness, click the link to enter: opr.as/Opera-browser-madisonclysdale
I follow you from Turkey and I appreciate your camping efforts because I learned a lot about camping from you and I admire you and what you do, beautiful girl...👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Uhhh...I want to go to Norway to see the northern lights for 6 nights, but this isn't that. This is Opera, an alternative web browser with a hygge themed desktop, tho the privacy features, Ai & free VPN is nice. I downloaded it, no mention of my entry into their contest...meh. I think u need to reread their offer 😝 Maybe lost in translation?
A wee tip for you. In freezing weather, you should carry your water bottle/s upside down - the mouthpiece facing the ground. Why? Because water always freezes at the surface first. If you carry them with the mouthpiece up, any ice formation will block the mouthpiece and could prevent you from getting a drink.
Wow, I live in New Mexico and in the mountains here, we too have ponderosa, a similar landscape and even that bird sounds the same. Crazy the how two places far apart can be so alike.
Hint for bread. You can make the dough days ahead. Just add the flour yeast and water, and stick it into the frig. It is already mixed and ready to bake into pizza or bread.
A bivy bag is good to use as well. It'll keep wind and moisture off your sleeping system. If it starts to rain during the night you'll still keep dry and warm.
Bannock is yeast-free: flour, salt, baking powder & water, and lard (aka tenderflake, is shelf stable) for frying in, plus whatever u want to put on ur bannock, honey-butter, jam etc
Danish here :) ... Its Hyyggee And its really a wierd thing.. because there is no word for it in english and our society is build on it. But its about feeling cousy, but also feeling happy, content, and with friends and loved ones.
U need a massive tarp u do this again to cover all your sticks then put the branches on that them ,to keep from wind, rain, ans snow, also to enclose the opening.
it's difficult for me to choose a favorite moment here . . . when you put puppers in the coat or when you put safety glasses on with dangerous branches around. I'll go with safety glasses on. Like 👍
Careful when shaking the trees the top don't come off and get ya . Also if you build a wall around your fire , just one on back of fire or 3 sided one is even better it will reflect the heat to inside your shelter much better .
That was a fun video! It’s no small feat to do some rustic winter camping (fellow Canadian). And you made it look Hygge! Next time you could build a reflector wall behind the fire to redirect more the fire heat into your shelter. Might make for a more comfortable night. (Also, losing more heat through your head is myth. Any exposed skin will lose heat. 😉)
Alright, I don' my remember Kelly kapowski ever being this much into camping when I was watching "saved by the bell". And camping with another man.... Better hope Zac doesn'nt find out! Lol
And you did all that without a chainsaw 😂 great video, and love how you made a little bed for your pup 🥰 get an insulated inflatable mattress you'll both sleep better 😉
I'm from India, and the place where I am from, in couple of months temperature here would be 40+ °C, why am I even watching Canadian winter survival?! 👀😁
Super cool! I'm in Chicago, love the snow/cold and solo camping but idk how you manage. So much extra gear, and then the issue of trying to do anything with bulky gloves or numb fingers.

I love seeing how the Outdoor Boys inspired you to some things.
Absolutely fantastic content from a wonderful trio. ❤
but she'srefusing to admite it, wich is weak TBH
@levi2732 She's creating great content! I can definitely see the inspiration. Giving credit is always a great thing to do!

Good advice.
Thats a great Tip 👌🏽
Thanks
70 year old B.C.man. Thank you for playing in our own back yard .
Near your house.
It was nice to see Parker in the videos, he is just as charismatic as you are.
I’m so happy you brought Parker along! It looks like it was a chilly night! I really enjoyed the video and appreciate all the helpful tips! 🏕️💗💜
I love your videos with Parker. It reminds me of when I go camping with my boyfriend and his dog.
Watching you camping in the snow and the cold..........makes me appreciate my warm bed even more.
I love Kyro’s guilty face when you found him eating the bone 😂😂😂
_"I am wolf, lady... I am on hunt!"_ .- Kyro 🐺
Thanks for sharing this awesome content. Bravo for carrying the heavy equipment on your back. The heat and sweat warms up in those cold winter days ❄️
I'm so jealous that you have parker and kyro
all my friends think I'm a nut for wild camping
Even my dog won't stay outside overnight with me
Outstanding! 👍
Great to see parker sharing his knowledge too. All in all this channel has become very entertaining. I like it
Love your constant smile. It’s so warming and genuine. Great vid

Yup just keep it in the fridge. I often cold proof pizza dough for 3 days
You are the happiest people, thank you for the trip
Kyro looked SO sad when you told him to leave the hip bone 😅 those puppy eyes!
Good to see Parker out there with you

i was blown away with how well the shelter came together once the insulation of pine needles was added! \

I love seeing a shelter thats actually hand built and big enough for real people.
Great to see you back!!! Love your vlogs ! Keep them coming ❤
Kero looks like he had great time ❤🐶
You make all your adventures feel like pure fun… keep it up…
Your videos make me feel safe and happy.
So fun to watch you guys set up camp...and Kiro's the best dog ever!
What a lucky dude to have a joyful outdoorsy babe. Hope y'all have a ton of fun together on these camping adventures. 😄
Know you can handle things yourself out there but it's good to see you have someone with you as backup. Enjoyed the video!
I love your Videos 😍 You look so happy when Parker is with you. Hopefully we will see him in a lot of videos :)

I did not recognise the word at first, but it got a little clearer along the way.
The Dutch have a word for that as well: gezellig.
im American, its KO-ZE (COZY)
@@bluesixr8019 That's not quite the same though. Like with the Danish word, there is no one-on-one translation.
Thank you... I learned something!
You guys are hardier than me. I felt cold watching from my lovely warm bed. 😄 Hope Kyro didn't swallow anything horrible.
U need a massive tarp u do this again to cover all your sticks then put the branches on that them ,to keep from wind, rain, ans snow, also to enclose the opening.
Clad you didn't go alone, stay safe
Here for the Parker cameos! Loved the fat wood info

random tree facts was awesome!

Sooo pretty. 💕
So a key to survival camping is to camp where you camped before to reuse materials. :)
There's another video if you want to see how she chopped those down too lol
What did you miss from Luke's videos is that you must build a wall behind the fire, so it will reflect the heat back to your direction. :)
Snow acts as a pretty good insulator
Love seeing you in some swedish gear with RVRC and Fjällräven! 😎🔵🟡
Beautiful people beautiful country
Excellent episode 👏!
YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION TO BECOME A CAMPER.💌
What a gift you are Miss

😮you put that hat on and i see your eyes kinda scared ne you have wolf eyes...weird compliment ❤
That little red insect is most likely a Allium Leaf Miner larvae, or closely related species in larvae stage :)
You're such a sweetheart. I would be very proud if you were my daughter. Love the dog. All the best angel.

Great video with lots of helpful advice. You two make a great team! This was on par with "Life Below Zero."
Honoured! Thank youu
chuck the bread into your top, your body heat would help it along although you may squish the air out if you're moving a lot.
Hygge is pronounced "Hoo-guh". Thanks. I enjoy the videos very much.
