Discussing Survive The Hunt #77 - The Blindest Hunter Yet!

- We took a trip back to the 90's for the latest survive the hunt, and while a lot of things ultimatly lead to a rooftop shootout there was some incredible luck/rather blind hunters to help me along.
Don't forget to like and subscribe :), also if you are feeling really generous you can support me on patreon www.patreon.co...
"He's up at the very roof!"
"The very roof??"
"The VERY ROOF!!"
Very roof indeed
The roofest roof!
It's a testament to the skill of the hunters that they ever even catch a glimpse of Alex, considering the utter insanity of the directions they give each other.
Much roof, so canopy, very ceiling.
"She said what she said!"
Note to Alex: Include an RPG for your next hunt.
He always says its very tempting but never uses it
Murdering the blimp reveals your location, or that's Alex reasoning at least
Plus I don't know the value of killing it when he had the opportunity to do so, and afterwards a different hunter could just board a new one
The blimp is great for observing but cannot pin alex like a car. Taking it out means 1 less hunter.
@@PuncakeLenathe value in killing it is, if they want another blimp A. Its not the expert piloting of dangerman, so the new blimp will be less reliable and B. It is one less hunter on the ground to shoot Alex.
I have noticed that the blimp is pretty hard to get away from.
Unless you have something really fast that can get to the otherside of the map in a few seconds.
If ever there was a StH to watch from LeatherCap's perspective, this one is it. lol
It was a very lowkey hunt, and then suddenly everything happened all at once. Was a lot of fun, and listening to the hunters get all confused because they were blind was hilarious.
The hunter chat never fails to surprise me with how much people will just talk over eachother even after someone announced they ran into Alex.
"Shit, I have to stop eating chips now, Fuck!" ~ Shados 2025
Me when a chase or shootout happens during Survive the Hunt
"Hang on I'll give him a knock" literally let's him escape 😂. All you had to do was hop out and shoot, instead you gave Alex an escape.. Bravo
So.... the moment alex gets better at shootouts he is unstoppable
What's very telling about how Alex is very much a driving-gamer is that he doesn't have the instinct to reload his weapon whenever he gets a chance. Not doing that is what killed him on this run TBH.
the greatest escape in survive the hunt history
90's STH definitely needs a revisit ❤
Amy's never going to live that one down. XD
17:14 Ez win... "Hang on I give him a knock" :D
Great ending, but a rules question:
20:44 Russkiy gets killed by another hunter (Narreths) in the initial shoot out situation.
24:05 Russkiy shoots and kills Alex.
Shouldn't Russkiy been out of the chase when killed during an Alex confrontation?
Dangerman informed Russkiy that they were not eliminated; iirc it was because NPC and other hunters do not eliminate hunters.
@@effigy80 I've gone and watched this on Amy's channel and it's discussed by the Hunters immediately and a decision is made that Russkiy is not out.
There's no point in a hunter being out by being shot by another hunter. That would be pretty terrible for the victim. Since being shot takes a hunter out of action, that benefits Alex as it is. Albeit temporarily
Reload anxiety was getting to me as a viewer lol
agreed, it was the last moment reload of your SAW that done ya in.
tank/armor vehicle battle in a red vs blue team battle arena would be a lot of fun.
I was like, "Finally!" ... then there was no RPG... ugh... figures...
'It was an orange van'....and you bought your drugs where?? 😂
Nobody noticed his vehicle God mode was on ? :D lol
I saw that but It looked like Alex's cars were still taking damage so I'm really not sure. I also don't know GTA at all so really I am of no use
After that last hunt I was looking forward to seeing this one
"Please don't turn into the junkyard "
"He's turned into the junkyard!"
"Shit"
"He's in the junkyard. He's going to kill us all."
😂 I don't know why they are complaining, they damn near corraled him into there. Anyway it was funny.
The gang in the junkyard started shooting at least Amy.
Bad time for Stevie Wonder to join the hunt then
You have to have the best driving skills on this game I'm gonna see.
I have may speeds but no breaks :D
1:45 Stevie Wonder moment.
It's February, and whilst we deal with Winter weather, some will be preparing for love. Others, however, should be preparing in class to take down many notes on "What We Learned on STH this Month":
* 1:37 Amy makes it a habit of always coming with a car that has a jerry can in the boot for all those refueling needs that hunters may have. Which is not useful when she decides to go jogging right where Alex is hiding.
* 5:27 Some people in the world seem to always struggle with the names of building, which can hinder a pursuit, such as Gliscor trying to say "Mortuary"...
* 5:55 ..while some people likely need glasses, as Dangerman demonstrates by finding the right car, but not the one with Alex in it.
* 7:55 Shadow appears to hate it that they're Alex-blind whenever a Pri is blown up near to them.
* 10:43 Apparently Arty likes hunters to greet them by shunting their car off the side of the road, and then saying "Hello".
* 13:40 Seems that just as they like frogs doing it, Brazen likes seeing Boxers spawning in Los Santos.
* 16:02 Rule #31 - When a pursuit begins, do not be eating any food at that moment. A rule Shadow hates to adhere to when they got chips.
* 17:13 Should Alex ever get beached, never let a hunter be a friendly neighbour - that's how your prey gets away so easily.
* 18:51 Seems Crane has a bit of Homer Simpson in them, after a hunter has a bit of a mishap with their vehicle.
* 20:32 Apparently, Alex likes to walk like a catwalk model when cornered, which seems to please a hunter.
* 21:16 When a pursuit is on foot, Gliscor seems to find it "very" good when Alex find the "very" roof.
* 23:26 When a foot pursuit gets boring, only Amy seems eager for something good to happen to their quarry, even if the other hunters don't.
And with that, another lesson is done! Now spread the love out there, people, of STH to every corner in the world! Until next time...
LOVEY-DOVEY!!!
21:16 : That's Gliscor, not Dan German.
And...
4:33 : The car model is called "Callisto" - that's what they are referring to. (Full name: Pfister Callisto)
Poor Shadow
it was a great blending in..till it wasn't
i would have loved to see you get in the NSX at 12:22 instead of the Boxster because the NSX is a cool car
We need Survive the Hunt ATLEAST twice a a month, it's literally the most exciting of your videos and gives you the most views.
I, for one, think that it's fine on its current release schedule. I like to think of them as a treat when they upload (and beyond that, the other videos are also fun watches. I came to this channel for the STH but stayed for the everything else)
@@cjer6040 Agreed, too often and it would just get stale.
In addition to what is said, from listening to Amy's (hunters') chat, there are times it takes 3 or so hours to get one to a keeper. Doing two a month could burn out the hunters.
I agree, once a month is a good schedule with the Discussion to even it out, but i do miss the "Gone in 48."
@
Absolutely not, I remember he used to do STH twice a month, the regular being on the 1st, and later on the 15th a "special edition", such as the one with crappy cars months ago. All it resulted is the channel getting more views, so he should absolutely get back to that :)
Also next time you should check and make sure vehicle god mode is turned off.
Heading across the open into the storm drain was your big mistake, should have hid in the bushes for a bit until the heat went down
Could’ve did that, went into the junkyard again where there was a lot more cover and places to hide, beeline for a hunter car, anything BUT run into the open
Proximity mine the roof access points. Not very sporting. Don't know if it's prohibited by their conventions.
It would probably be fair. While Alex is going into the weapons to select the mines, and placing them, he'll still be vulnerable to getting shot, and he might well miss alternative routes (he missed a ladder up to the roof, but then so did the hunters). And the important part is, it would make it more fun, which is the important rule.
Don’t think it would be very sporting same way lock on missiles aren’t used and he isn’t throwing stickies out the window at hunters
i wouldn't have up on the roof in the first place
hunting the hunters again I see.
One of you sounds VERY much like Thatdudeinblue.
there needs to be a clear line for supercars because you were not sure it was broken and they immediately decided it was simply because you were faster, even if it technically was not. It caused a serious imbalance in the car chase.
so you want them to map out all possible 700 cars vs every possible spawn set?
They had a pretty good idea when it was the default GTA spawn set, but on 5M, when they're doing themed spawns sets, it's too much to keep track of.
Like all Survive the Hunts, it relies on all the players sticking to 'fair play' rules, which can't always be written down.
@@blitzofchaosgaming6737 There are not 700 super cars lmao
@@KXNG_BXNZ No, there are 700 cars over all on 5M. But they would have to go over the entire list of cars and determine if it is above or below their supercar line. Are you interested in doing that? I'm pretty sure they'd be glad for your assistance in that matter.
@SophiaAphrodite Alex was aware of this issue the whole time he decided to take a lower tier car. And in the case of the last car, he had just taken this car to get away from where he was to find a better car soon. Quite unlucky that this didn't happen.
lowkey forgot the discuss video hadnt come out yet
Does anybody remember these good old times when Alex cudn't survive 20 minutes?
Is there a rule that says no grenades/sticky bombs against hunters?
Awesome
If a hunter is killed, can they still play spotter or are they no longer able to give advice?
They're not allowed to say anything related
Who0p!
Why on earth didn’t he take out the blimp?
Blimp can't shoot and kill him. He's focused on who is dangerous to him.
@ yeah but it would take no time to eliminate it and has a bird eye view
He forgot to equip an RPG in his inventory. Would take too long using the rifle.
You shouldve gone to LS customs to modify the last car so you don't lose at the end.
It's a shame the custom shops don't spit you out on the opposite side of the building. With the hunters using the shops a lot, it's risky enough just going into one, but when you also materialize in view of any hunters who might be waiting to enter, it's just way too dangerous.
15:01 Why would your character be able to shout and confuse the hunters? Isn't that just an NPC thing? Is that something you can do as a player character?
Yes, it's just an NPC thing. Because the AI behind Alex shouted, the hunter thought Alex's character was shouting which meant the car they were bullying (Alex) was an AI and not Alex. So they gave up thinking Alex was an AI because of the shouting by that AI behind him.
@MaartenT
Ah. I got it.
to give you an idea of what happened - I was bumping cars around, just on the off-chance one of them was Alex. I hit the boxter and I heard a horn+AI swearing. Usually, this means that the car I hit was an AI, and Alex managed to successfully "play dead" by not moving, so I just went off with a note that "Boxter is easy to push around" (which considering we're using modded cars, some are absolute lightweights and others can be figurative tanks.
Also, I didn't see the animation of his driver as it was dark and my lights were not working.
What saved Alex was that he hit an NPC with his car immediately after I bumped him. This triggered the usual NPC dialogue from that NPC, which completely fooled me.
Hunting is bloody hard and sometimes it's just down to luck. But I guess this is what makes these fun to watch, which is the most important thing
@AlexeyBeganov
Thanks for that. Makes sense now. Still fun and funny to watch the antics from everyone. Great entertainment!
could you do a survive the hunt with hunters driving chp police cars only
survive the hunt amazing, wish I could join in
These reviews have become painful to listen to. Hunters babbling over each other about non important things. Hunters' inability to communicate concise and pertinent information.
The reason that they are here are for those who have watched the StH from Alex's perspective to come back and see it from the hunters'. Not for people who haven't watched the original thing in context.
Gotta admit, thats why i might love the discussion (and Amys feed) a teensy bit more than the standard run. Listening to them attempt to teamwork makes me laugh every single time.
1st!😁👍
Still laughing at you calling the highway the motorway 😂
They're British. That's what they call em. It's why it's the M1 etc. Like how we call em interstates and they are I40 etc.
@Oceanus_Rex I know most of them are from the UK as am I but I still laugh at it
