Yea and that why I started EZWood Carbide tools with the negative Rake. When I switched to negative rake all my problems went down the drain and I haven't had any more blow outs of any kind.
I found that when I use the negative Carbide EZ tool set up you don't have to worry as about taking to much off. And before I started using that set up had problems with the blanks blowing up or taking to much off witch ruined my pen 🖊 . And I had to start all over.
I wanted to let you know Since.I started using the Carbit tools for all my pens 🖊 I haven't had 1 blank blow up on me anymore. To me it's worth the extra cost for sure.
I completely agree, carbide tools are great on acrylics!
Maybe a silly question, but what about a drop of CA glue on the drive point?
What lathe are you using?
That's the Powermatic 3520C
Why not just polish the acrylic Instead of putting ca on?
CA acts as a filler for any small surface imperfections as well as can be polished to a higher gloss, longer lasting finish than acrylic alone provides.
The 3D printed core and the cast epoxy have slightly different hardness levels and polishing them as is will leave high and low spots. The CA finish will allow me to polish the blank and have a more uniform appearance.

Как ТОЧИТЬ - это не интересно... Вот как ИЗГОТОВИТЬ такую заготовку - было бы куда как интереснее!
Алюминиевые соты свернуть трубкой, поместить в трубу из полипропилена, заглушить ее с одной стороны и залить нужной вам смолой. Заливать можно эпоксидной, полиуретановой, акриловой и полиэфирной смолой, цвет можно сделать любой, красители и пигменты есть любых цветов.
@@dmitrijd9343 спасибо, такую технологию я себе представлял) Только в видео в заготовке пластик в пластике, и бесшовный, вот что интересно.
@@_MadFox так можно пластик, никто вас не ограничивает. Какой шов вы имели ввиду? Пу труба? Так она служит толькл формой - вытаскиваем отливку и все.
@@dmitrijd9343 шов - имею в виду, что соты лежат по кругу без стыкового шва, как будто белым пластиком заливалась трубка в виде сот из черного пластика. Если свернуть трубку из плоского материала, будет шов.
@@_MadFox да соты можно напечатать сразу трубкой, можно на плоскости, а потом свернув трубкой склеить, если подобрать клей шва не будет видно. А можно пойти от обратного, пропилить соты в нескольких местах и это только прибавит красоты конечному изделию.
