The Guardian UK calls Chicago native Ezra Furman “the most compelling live act you can see right now.” He counts Iggy Pop among his fans and is a critical darling in the U.S. and the UK. We welcome him for his Morning Becomes Eclectic debut in advance of his appearance at the Hollywood Bowl as part of KCRW’s World Festival on September 25.

They are truly an unrealised genius
there are literally no words to express my admiration of ezra furman. i am literally in awe
Same here. I’m enamoured with Ezra 🥰
One day he's gonna be a superstar.
What a unique voice
Jules Cordonnier not unique but definitely reminiscent to the great legends of the past ( particularly Ziggy and Lou Reed).
atsuya k Don’t forget Gordon Gano from the violent femmes. He sounds almost exactly like him. I do love Ezra Furman though.
She's amazing
I just discovered Ezra Furman and I'm instantly obsessed. They are phenomenal!
Biggest music artist currently alive in my opinion
By the way, it's totally worth going to the station's website and listening to the whole thing. The interview is hilarious. "Has anyone ever told you that I've got beautiful blue eyes?". Lol.
Too funny. And the bit where the interviewer thought Mango and the Mangroves were an actual band! :)
i love ezras music its so fantastic and groovy i always look forwards for the next song coming out!!!
It certainly is

Emily Lawson OMG hey !!!!
Everybody talks sarcastic
Everybody's in the know
I think I might do something drastic
If they don't let me go away from it all
But I can't afford a jet plane
And the price of gas is high
There's nowhere that I can run to
When I feel so sick and shy
Gonna make a big noise to the sky
Teddy, I'm ready to rock and roll
And if she smiles at me in the snow
Baby, I'm ready to rock, rock and roll
And I whispered that I loved her
In the ancient photo booth
She's just got one of those faces
That demands the truth
She likes Ted Hawkins too
And the truth is just a mole rat
Crawling underneath the earth
It is naked and it's gnawing away at the world
And it hurts so bad I could cry
But they don't allow no crying
In the cold straight world of men
So I build my little fortress
'Til I can get even
Teddy, I'm ready to rock and roll
I can see now, she's an angel
Flying in my bedroom window
I'm ready to rock and roll, ready to rock and roll
Awesome ! I caught the Coachella Internet Live stream quite by accident on 4-16-17 and was immediately intrigued by this awesome music..loved it right away..look forward to this great band stopping in Houston
I was lucky enough to hear the whole KCRW interview and show rolling down Whittier Blvd in Pico Rivera in a diesel truck thinking to myself 'THIS is American rock and roll.' Turned it up, left it playing when I got to the job site and everyone loved it.
THis outfit!!! Truly an icon
I heard this song on the radio over the summer and instantly fell in love with it
This is awesome! I can't wait for the EP coming out in August
One word: amazing
The Sax makes me happy
This is most definitely my favourite radio live performance of all time
LOVE this SO much!
Damn!!!! Yes! ♥ I found another gem today!
Geniale...!!! His voice is absolutely fantastic...
Lovely lovely tune
Simply wonderful...........loved Ted Hawkins too
Gorgeous musician
Wow!
Amazing artist
gotta love that yarmulke
he sounds like he would be good in a remake of rocky horror show. He sounds like Richard O'Brien as Riff Raff :)))
I saw him at end of the road (England)
I love you
❤️
Saw him @ H-Bowl Sunday night -- stage patter was so arch and flat out funny -- nice name drop on Ted Hawkins
Whats a name drop
mention? shout out?
Eine Mischung aus Jagger und Young - wunderbar!
does anyone know the notes for the sax riff?
a, b, c, d ... etc.
What if I wanted to talk to him?
Is ezra the songwriter
Ezra is so fucking great. I secretly want my daughter to marry him!
Lura Lacy too late hes engaged. Boom
The trumpets reminds me The Edge of Glory of Lady Gaga :) !
Is Ezra wearing a yamulke in this video?
Probably. He's very proud and devout about his faith.
+Bee Round I'm beginning to see that. Saw him referred to as Reb somewhere. I was fortunate to hang out with him for a bit in Portland, but the conversation didn't turn to matters of faith.

Nick Cusmano That’s my favorite part. Love me some Ted Hawkins too!
A few words from guteshoerenistwichtig: guteshoerenistwichtig.wordpress.com/2016/08/10/da-geht-was-ezra-furman-big-fugitive-life/
First
Ezra looks like the singer of green day, no?
The languid middle essentially turn because chard advantageously cry midst a ill romanian. dependent, flagrant language
is this artist a man or a lady?
Serious question?
Shelley James
yes
well, his name ks Ezra, so imma say male.
How many female do you know that have stubble? HAHAHA
He is a gender non conforming male. The description on the video says "he", hence I was confused about the sincerity of your question. Sorry, and I hope this answers. Reminds me of the time I put my daughter in a blue dress and someone asked if she was a boy! Mixed cues can confuse people!
Weak outtake not worthy of Ezra after his brilliant Perpetual Motion People album. The lyrics, superb on that album, are a total non-event here. This is only as good as the tracks of the albums that preceded that one.
