I love Dan Seals. I was blessed to go see him in person in the 80's at a very small venue. I think it was a high school cafeteria, which sounds very strange, since he had so many hits. Enjoyed your talk.
Dan even did an acoustic country version of I'd Really Love to See you Tonight. Beautiful version too, that you can see on You Tube.
And it is a truly amazing version. His acoustic release on those songs were such a gift.
Sad it’s so sad to lose your favorite artists! His music made so many people happy and that is what life is truly about making people happy! R I P dan

Thank You for this information, still shock about news, use listen country music and later Pop songs in 1980s and later switch over Country Music again kind mix both sides, so glad got see him in concert in 1980s or was in 1990s lots No 1 hits songs. Yellow Car, Bop many others. God bless him in heaven now. His music live on Forever. True Fan. Listen his music though years on radio stations back 1970s and 1980s and 1990s 2000s. Thank You. Dan grew up in the small west Texas town of Rankin. Big wheels in the moonlight "came from a town that was so small look both ways you could see it all" That's Rankin go Red Devils!
Nice tribute to a great talent gone too soon. Saw him in an outdoor concert at our county fair in northeast Portland. Every song was great, despite the fact that it was such a hot July day that his band had a tough time keeping their guitars in tune.

As sad as it is to hear somebody passing, from cancer no less, it does make me feel slightly better because for several years he was consistently on the charts on country radio and then just vanished Without a Trace. Somebody at that time long before social media Google etcetera around 1995 there was a conversation I was having and they said yeah I heard he just died as sad as it is for anyone to die at anytime especially from cancer I'm just glad that he lived twelve years and change after that person had told me because obviously back then there was not very much for looking to find out something if you heard something
I used to Listen to KXRB in the 90 s when I lived in SD. earl pitts was one of the best parts of KXRB.
Is he in the Hall of Fame yet? If not, its near criminal.

I wish you would've mentioned his early 80s AOR albums. Stones is sooo good!
Harbinger is another good one. Neither album was actually labeled as AOR, but that is a good description.

I only found about Seals and Croft when Harry Chapin spoke of them in concert, knew about England Dan and John Ford Coley...strange..
And that Marie "person" was 5 rows behind me at that same concert. She had some guys tossed out cause they snuck a bottle in. She wasn't liked very much there actually. Everyone said she was pretty stuck up.
