Maximum cool...I as a native New Yorker dub this guy THE MAYOR OF ALL NYC MUSICIANS....Even more touching because I was at WOODSTOCK when Jimi played it.....Thanks❤️

New York f'ing City 🗽🤘🏻✊🏻✌🏻
AWE EFFING SOME! And for you guys who aren't familiar with fire escapes, that so called "Hole" is where the stairs are so one may get down to the street, thus the word "ESCAPE" as in Fire Escape. You just don't see them in the photo.
They're right there across the street, plain as day. "Holes'. I'm dying. lol
Born in Brooklyn NYC , SERVED USMC, 1972 TO 1974 WAS PROUD TO SEE AND HEAR THIS, THIS MORNING, WEDNESDAY 8/13/2020 Love and peace to all NYC, I HAVE TO LISTEN TO THIS AGAIN.

Amazing!!! Thank you for cheering. My sister and niece are amongst the nurses and it it tough on them.
Idk why I cried a lil 😅. This was nice tho. I guess cuz so many ppl have died in this covid pandemic esp NYC
I will be playing this on full volume from my front stoop at 7pm every night for the duration of this pandemic. Join me. #thankyou #stayhome
It'd be pretty dorky if I did it on my accordion.
NEW YORK STRONG. NEW YORK PROUD. I LOVE MY CITY!!
Awesome
In fact, the solo acquired revolutionary status in its day.
'Nobody' are the ones too young to have heard it.
Luckily, he left out the part about
"...by the rocket's red glare
red bombs bursting in air...
(...) in the Land of the Free [sic]
and the Home of the Brave"
Difficult to understand what such patriotism has to do with confinement,
but hey, if it makes you feel better...
Funny how Time changes perspectives.
Who would have thought in 1968
that J. Hendrix would one day be vindicated and associated with
hope and patriotism? That no one would remember the words to,
"The Star Spangled Banner", that the country would one day elect
a President without the foggiest idea of the scope of his powers?
Jiiiiiimiiiiiiiiii
Thank you. You have made me feel better.
We will Rock our way out of this then Roll❤️
That's nice y'all get together at 7 every night. :)
skylilly1 yes
Hell yes... pure American pride.. don’t love it then leave our great proud and FREE country...

Awesome you're alive
Always the downvoters. WTF is wrong with people? This is awesome!
Patrick Larson Almost as lame as the people who don’t like the Kinks.

awesome sawce!
NYC STRONG
USA USA USA HCH HCHRRZ HRRRZ
Amazing!!!
Not really Hendrix...more so just the star spangled banner. Missing the chaos and passion of Jimi’s version. Good nonetheless
What's with the hole in his balcony?
Is this at the corner of 1st Ave and 7th St?
Right next to St Stanislaus Church
@@richb81 , I recognized the pink building at the corner. 40 years ago I lived at 97, across in the building with the pinkish tiles lived the bass player of the band "Come On", and down the street past Tompkins Sq was Klaus Nomi's
cringe
LET HER EAT
Why is there a giant hole in his balcony????
The balconies in NY (and Montreal, etc.) are actually fire escapes, so those holes are just where the staircase to the lower level is located.
@@phoule76 thanks. Seems like a huge liability. Especially if you have kids. So, is that a fire escape or a balcony he's on? Are they exclusive to each unit or is it just a communal fire escape for many units?
Nanci Ryker-Judd it’s a fire escape. The entire side of the building has one that runs down the side. You can see it on the building across the way. It is outside the windows if most apts.
@@redwoodgirlbc It's a huge requirement. The liability would be burning to death with no way out. You can (and better) lock your window. You're really not allowed to use it as a balcony. It's an external stairwell that runs down all the units in a column.
No no no....You got all wrong about the hole....During Prohibition the building would secretly share a keg of beer that was lowered from the roof through the hole to each apartment....you had to provide your pretzels though.🍺
here's from the ground instagram.com/p/B-42lv3lcuP
Doesn't anyone else see the hole in his balcony?
That's not a "balcony"! That's a fire escape.
Play Wonderwall.
Lmao
Poor choice of key to play it in.
Cringe then hipster cringe. Just awful.
Dont be hatin
"Cringe" is the ultimate hipster response.
