Im 55 playing with my son and his friends. I use the Tern as i can get it in 150 grams and be able to throw just as far as they can. My go to disc for many years now. Never dissapoints....
My pleasure! I'm so glad that you're finding them useful. If there's ever a particular disc you'd like to see a review on before buying it, I'm always open to suggestions!
My bag has at least three Terns in it at all times, at various stages of wear. As they get beat up, they progress from -2 to -3 to -4 for initial turn, making them good (at least with my arm) for everything from a hyzer to a hyzer flip to a straight low tunnel to an anhyzer to a roller.
Just stumbled on this video. Looooving the flight shots from behind you. Amazing ... like a review and tutorial in 1 (still in my 1st yr of DG). I need more, keep them coming ... how about the Sidewinder and some other discs? Thank you!
My Halo Tern is my go to driver it has great glide and a dependable fade. I ran into Ohn Scoggins from Team Innova the other day at my local disc golf course. She signed the back of my disc and was so kind even though interrupted her in the middle of a practice round before a tournament. Tern all day!
One of my favorite drivers when starting out. Still in my bag but not used as much anymore. After this video I may need to give it a little more love. Great Video!
Looooove the Tern! The first disc I ever owned and I still bag it! Sidenote: I believe Innova has adjusted the flight number to -2 turn as you mentioned.
Great camera 📸 work,. Wow great to see about the tern . U did a great job throwing examples. One of the best disc reviews I've seen . I love reviews. Now do I get a tern halo from Innova factory pro shop at Deal price
started a little duel with a girl yesterday, she had amazing technique. Then she threw this one distance driver that she managed a perfect hyzerflip on. I was kinda "Shocked", that she was able to hyzerflip a dstance driver (I'm a beginner, so i havent really considered the option to hyzerflip distance drivers, because i thought they were all really overstable!) I had a look at her disc, and it's a Tern. Think i want this disc!
I am a HUGE fan and user of the Star Tern. It is my favorite disc in my bag by a mile. I can only go about 370. I saw your video on the Star Shryke. Is the Star Shryke just a further flying disc. I heard you mention the Shryke was going further like 400 and I saw your avg on the Tern being about 370 about my average. Do you recommend a Shryke?
Thanks! I've been bagging both a Tern and a Shryke for awhile now. Definitely use both for unique situations. Interestingly enough, though, I do have a Shryke in G-Star plastic that is *more* flippy than the Tern (in Star plastic)!
That's interesting because I found both a Tern and Shryke on courses over the past year that I currently bag. The Tern is my hyzerflip distance driver while that Shryke is my turnover or big roller disc.
The Tern is slightly more glidey, and a bit less stable than the Destroyer. So if you're pretty new to the game, you'll likely be able to get bigger distance with the Tern, and you'll also be able to execute a variety of shots more easily with it (e.g., long anhyzers and turnovers).
@@adamintheoutdoors2119 I've been throwing a wraith, and I do like it, but I feel like I've really gotta rip on it to get the flight I want, and sometimes (often) accuracy suffers. I was thinking of picking up a halo tern as something to use similarly but don't have to throw as hard. Do you think that's the right idea, since you throw both?
@@marks9444 the tern is really effortless distance for me compared to anything else, once it beats in it just becomes a consistent hyzerflip to flat to right turn at anywhere from like 350-425
How would this tern disc compare to my 151gram gstar katana i can rip it i believe 150+ feet flat rhfh It flies pretty smooth and of the Holes i Play probably average 225feet where i live
Best disc review video I’ve ever seen. Just throw the discs and let people watch! Thanks!
I am a HUGE fan of the Star Tern. It is so versatile and long. Thank you for the review.

I have a 138 gram star tern 😁
Thank you very much for doing these videos! Great to get an idea of a disc before buying it. You have a hell of an arm too! Keep up the good work!

Killed it bro! Love the addition of the shots from the course 🤘🏼
Thanks man! The course clips are definitely going to be a regular occurrence!
Really nice video! Great camera and commentary work on the flight demos. Really easy to see the different flights
Great review! Really enjoyed how all of your shots showed the true flight of this awesome disc.

Crazy that when i saw the first tee pad throw I realized you were at Bowers… i was there a few months ago and it’s sad how downhill it’s gone.

Thank you!

Thank you! Never a bad idea to come back to old discs after your game has progressed in order to see what new things you can do with them!

They adjusted it for the champion tern, but other plastics still have the -3 rating.

Just lost my flick today and was in search of a new disc. You've helped me make my decision with this review. Thank you!
You won't regret it! RIP to the lost disc :(
@@discgolfinsight7255 it was time i retired that discraft flick anyways! And its an excuse to buy new ones haha

I have a orbital and a captain that are quite flippy for a distance driver, you might like em! I'm a fan of deeper drivers
I mean others have said it and they aren't wrong... wonderful review! Thank you!
I just got a Halo Tern in, pretty pumped to test it out
I just got one! Can’t wait to throw it off the tees.
I love it for flicks. It can seriously work some nice lines and that S turn with an anhyzer throw works great to carve a way through trees.
It really is. One of the few distance drivers I can always trust even on heavily wooded holes.
Thanks for the video! I stumbled upon a Tern with no name on it. Been trying to work on it for a bit

I got a glow tern yesterday. I haven't thrown it yet. Looking forward tho.
If you think the turn is too flippy, try the shryke! Little more fade and stability. Great review btw

I'm pretty new to disc golf and usually throwing a destroyer (I know...) in forehand off the tee for distance. How does this disc differ?
The Tern is slightly more glidey, and a bit less stable than the Destroyer. So if you're pretty new to the game, you'll likely be able to get bigger distance with the Tern, and you'll also be able to execute a variety of shots more easily with it (e.g., long anhyzers and turnovers).
Tern and wraith are a great compliment to each other for my arm speed

My last three aces, 175g champion tern.
I love my star tern. Thanks
Is this similar to the Avenger's SS? I just bought one and wanted a fairway driver to go straight
Champion Glow Tern 👍

Bowers Park and Ol Colony! Roll tide
Great video man! Is this in Tuscaloosa?
Sure is!
Herregud, den är ju understabil som fan. Titta bara på kastet vid 0:35
Skakar mitt huvud...
I've been using it as it's getting colder but mine is flippy as hell when its hot lol.
Is a tern a prodigy d3 or d4. Prodigy has me 🤔 this yr .
I would think the tern is similar to the prodigy x4. The x4 is 13 5 -2.5 2. The tern is 12 6 -2 2.
Bro YES.
i feel like the yellow terns fly better then the blue or green but who knows
This is everything you want in the video review.
Great review!
