Pebbles The Cat dude if there was a response. That's when u don't even try to see what animal that is. U book it and try to get on land as fast as you can.
Though the video is quite interesting, the evidence seems based of the 16x sped up version of the bloop. The normal one is far stranger and sounds infinitely more alien
Yeah the sped up version doesn't really sound like anything special. The normal speed version is the one where you'll understand why some people thought it was from a living thing
The sound is sped up because at normal speed the sound is too low frequency to be audible to the human ear. Using youtube to slow the sound down won't be useful either, because youtube's "slowdown" is actually the sound being cut up into discreet segments which are then stretched so as to make the sound last longer without lowering it in tone.
It's obvious all those sounds are the mating calls of aquatic sasquatches. Just ask those dudes on that Bigfoot hunter show on tv. Any sound they hear that doesn't have an immediate origin is a Squatch call.
why cant we just make giant mechs with weapons like in pacific rim. Make them durable to deep underwater pressures. weapons to fight off any giant creatures.

I have been listening to your playlist. In bed sick as a dog with Covid. Hurts to open my eyes. Your voice seems like an old friend, at the foot of my bed telling me interesting stories, to take my mind off of how crummy I feel. Thank you….
You saw the UFO video of the craft that flew over ground, then flew over the ocean, went in and out of the ocean without even making a splash... if you cannot explain that... if that made a noise, how would you explain the noise? Also the USAF pilots that were sent to investigate a UFO over the ocean off the coast of CA, when they finally got close it was causing the ocean to boil, and then suddenly flew away. What kind of noise would that have made? If I was a UFO, the ocean would be the best place to hide.
Really enjoy the voice narration. Renews my interest with dark 5. Good job! Keep up the great work. Any chance we might get retro voice on older vids? Just curious.
The biggest argument against the living creature hypothesis is that the Bloop has only ever been heard once. A sound that loud from a living creature should occur again, but it's been 20 years and no more Bloop. That leads me to believe it was a rare natural event that was the source of the sound, of which an icequake would fit the bill.
I'm disappointed that you did not clarify that the Bloop sound played in the video was the 16x speed version. Hearing the Bloop sound at its natural playback speed is a very creepy thing. Other than that great job on the video!
Yeah, It's been explained as the sound of ice quakes & icebergs cracking. In the video he says it's an "unsatisfactory explanation" but the explanation seems pretty satisfactory. I've lived in woody areas in my lifetime and I've seen a few giant trees crack in half & fall. The sound of a humongous tree cracking is a somewhat eerie sound. The sound of the crack is so deep you could confuse it with lightning if you've never heard a tree crack before. The crack lasts about 3-5 seconds before it starts falling. I could imagine an iceberg that's infinitely times bigger than a tree would sound infinitely more eerie when it cracks or quakes underwater. The crack would last much longer than a tree cracking & the sound would be much deeper due to the size of any iceberg. The sound is probably so deep that it's undetectable to human ears underwater and would probably have to be sped up 16x to sound like most of the sounds in this video. Just imagine a mile long iceberg quaking underwater. It makes sense
Upsweep and slow down are creeping me out. Bloop is a creature, okay, why should we be scared of creatures? But the upsweep sounds like an alarm from an underwater alien base. And the slowdown sounds like the engine of an inter galactic alien ship that just teleported into the Pacific from outta nowhere and begins to shut it's engines down.
Thor The God of Thunder Do you have a lot of knowledge about “inter galactic alien ships” and “underwater alien bases”? Sounds like sciencefictology speak.

The Bloop was confirmed as an icequake, similar sounds were recorded from icequakes. One thing is that the Bloop sound you hear here and on most recordings is actually played 16x faster, and sounds like an animal call. At normal speed, it lasts much longer and sounds like something breaking
A very important detail is that these sounds are all time-scaled to play 16 X faster (20 X for Upsweep) to be audible to the human ear. I don't mean to take away from the mystery, but it's important to factor this in when listening to them and trying to compare the sound to something more familiar.
Nobody really knows what lives in the ocean. We have discovered so many new things in the last century, and even decades. It could be some kind of sea monster, WHO KNOWS?!
There are so many terrifying things in the ocean...living and not living. Even just the volcanoes and the fact that tsunamis and hurricanes can happen.
Some sounded like machinery slowing down, others sounded like comms as in underwater digital but with a lot more compression since they aren't restricted to ones and zeros. Oceanic traffic has increased so much that whales have had to shift their songs frequencies above the din of machinery and propellers. Which reduces range causing them greater duress.
Here's my interpretation of each sound: Bloop: An unknown animal, possibly extremely close to the microphone. Upsweep: Likely some form of alarm from a vessel or submarine. Slow down: It sounds like an electric locomotive, but too long to be any kind of interference. Maybe some kind of anomaly with the equipment? Train: Is the listening device somewhat near a railway line? Julia: Unidentified and unseen animal, maybe an extremely large form of whale? Whistle: Some kind of undersea volcanic activity.
I surely understand some of the skepticism on unknown ocean critters, I also used to think that way, but on the other hand, only a bit more than 5% of our oceans has been explored. That being said, I think it's wiser to keep open the possibility that the sound is made by an unknown creature than to completely rule out the possibility it is made by an unknown sea creature.

Because the human race needs war to continue, ik not exactly the best way to see things but think about it, humans have always been at war and if their is peace its not for that long, the industrial age happened because of war which is where America took off, war pushes countries to create better and more effiecient technoligies, yes weapons, but also things thar make life easier, people will take insperation from weapons of war and create something for the general public to capitalize on it. This is how its always worked.
Well it only makes sense, theyre named after the recordings characteristics, the bloop had strange bloop sounds in the middle of the roar, upsweep, well was an upsweep sound that repeated, etc.
You should take over the Discovery and History channels of this genre. I have no idea of your production budget - but I find your material much more engaging than what is currently available in more traditional mass media.
I have to question the rationale regarding the size of the "creature" that made the sound. The theory that it has to be huge is debunked by the known example of the shrimp that can make a sound as loud as a jet engine. Since the shrimp is a relatively small animal, couldn't it also be true that the bloop was similarly created by something relatively small? Maybe we shouldn't be looking for something huge, but something small.
rhopsi56 ! It’s not debunked, because there’s no proof either way. Anyway, even if it is ‘relatively’ small, were still talking about a big creature here.
I don't think anything is debunked. My comment was only to point out the possibility - by the statements in the video - that we might be looking for something big when it could be something small. There is just so much unknown about the ocean.
