Once, I realized that, Enslaved people were to Barbados, when you take a look at what happened at that time! You can imagine that people were not going to tolerate being treated like Animals for long, so is where the Maroons came to be! Not knowing our own history is what makes us so damaged today! We need to realize what was done to our Ancestors!

Bajans are not African they are Aboriginal european mixed with aboriginal American. What we were taught is a lie this is why they burnt down the archives and say it was struck by lightning

Bussa is not my hero he was the head ranger on Baylys plantation St.Philip his job was to keep our ancestors in check ,if you watched Django ,the msn who was whipping the "blk"girl was a Ranger, that was Bussa's role . He was eventually killed by the same slaves, but they taught us he was a good man. He was a Criminal to blks , lord Nelson was a more honourable man than Bussa. Tek down Bussa too

This is fascinating. You know i always thought Jamaica not Barbados was the origin of sugar and slavery in the Caribbean. Now i know my neighbors Barbados next door was that place. So most vincentian are also descendants of the bajans incredible again. Seriously they was always something about bajans i liked. They're a different black people to trini, guyanese, jamaicans. I do not believe that they're from the same part of Africa. This is history our Caribbean people should have been thought. So Barbados is the birth place of it all. Time for a vacation to Barbados 🛫

You can't fool us you're from Barbados! What I've noticed is some islands of the Caribbean have issues with Jamaicans but the Jamaicans have no issues with the other islands. I'm not from the Caribbean by the way. There is a lot of hate and resentment from certain other Caribbean people towards Jamaicans. Why? You're all Black! That's a shame 😢

Thats why they burnt down part of our national Archives and blamed it on lightning because the wing of the building housed proof of our ancestry ,we from ireland scotland wales and England, and we did not get our lstnames from white plantation owners ,every prisoner/passenger was logged in the ships logs with full name complexion occupation and the different boroughs they were abducted from in these places .

    - [ ] A lot of this video is mis-information . Under the British and its 13 North American colonies Barbados was the epicentre of slavery in the anglophone world. Couple of reasons for this, Barbados is the closest island to West Africa in the Caribbean and it is where the British settle.Barbados was the base of operation for the British in the western hemisphere. They love it so much, they called it little England. If you were on any ship, that was connected to Great Britain , coming out of Liverpool, Bristol, new castle etc , 90 percent chance that you would end up in Barbados .
Slavery was codified in Barbados in 1661, out of this came the french code noir, 1685, Jamaica slave code and Jim crows laws in the great united states. The entire island was one giant plantation, very brutal place at the time, most enslaved Africans were “seasoned “ and then sent onto other destinations. They was a term “to be barbadoes “ .
Also at the time the planters of barbadoes were some of the riches people in the world, there were known as the gentlemen of barbadoes, they was a saying back in the day, as rich as a barbadoes planter.
Ask yourself, how could a tiny island like that could accommodate so many enslaved.Policy was cheaper to buy than to breed. Work them to death and replenish .
A lot of enslaved people were taken from Barbados to South Carolina, in fact Charleston and speightsown Barbados are twinned.
Again everyone from west Africa ended up in Barbados, lot of people from Benin republic, nigeria , Togo , Ghana , Sierra Leone, guinea, Liberia .
Jamaica was under Spain for many years, just like Cuba and Puerto Rico .
When the British took Jamaica, naturally production moved there , so in the latter days of the slave trade Jamaica be came the centre of attention in the anglophone world.

@@tineg22 So to answer your question , this is from a lot of time, money and asking a lot of questions. I had the privilege of going to west Africa several times to several different countries, the topic was always one of slavery .I have been to many a slave dungeon/castle in Senegal , Gambia , Ghana Sierra Leone, guinea etc .The historians in those countries always talks about Barbados especially in Sierra Leone, all of this was very surprising to me at the time .I went to a place called Ouidah/whydah its a world heritage site, 10s of 1000s of enslaved Africans left that shore for Barbados .They were kept in something called a Barracoon.Next door in calabar and badagry Nigeria the same story .I also had the privilege of speaking with professors in Great Britain who are authorities on this, Britain has a lot of records in. Regards to this topic .They was a guy called Olaudah Equiano who was ensalved as a child taken from igboland Nigerian to Barbados, read his book , it’s not for the faint hearted .Also research the case of Jonathan strong, he was an enslaved man who traveled from Barbados to Great Britain with his master David Lisle, a very brutal story. That little island come a long way , it also has a lot of deep history. There is a website called slave voyages, take a lot at that in your free time.

@@ruledbyvenus2041no bro, don’t let these pseudo intellectuals fool you, barbados has no native population existing there today, it’s mostly black and a sprinkling of white and a recent tiny population of East Indians from guyana who migrated there in the last 50 years.
From what I can tell you, most barbadians are descended from the igbo people of nigeria….certainly not all, but most. Since barbados was an integral part of the English slave empire, they send slaves all over the British slave colonies, to places like virgina and the carolinas.
I visit barbados frequently and notice some of the similarities with the black population to Nigerians of the igbo people, they’re some of the biggest and tallest black people in the Caribbean with a very robust structure, they also use Nigerian words still like uno meaning (you all) and are very crossed people with short tempers like igbos of nigeria, but within a twist of british polities.
