    Hi Casey, just a French guy passing by. Just to clarify some things about the Mamoudou Gassama story :
    - The man that you can see on the balcony is not the father, just a neighbour. He explained that he decided not to climb over the fence because he was holding the kid's hand. Letting go of the kid's hand was way too risky, he could have fallen.
    - The craziest thing in this story : the child fell off the 5th floor, and thankfully he managed to grab the fence of the 4th floor in his fall. The fact that he is still alive is an absolute miracle.
    - The child lives with his father, who left his kid alone while he was shopping. News reports even said that the father took some time to play Pokemon Go on his way back home... He took bad parenting to a whole new level.
    - Mamoudou Gassama has been offered French citizenship and a job with the fire service.
    (Sorry if my English is not that good)

    About that kid hanging, it happened in Paris, France 2 days ago. The kid was left alone in the appartment while his father went for groceries. The guy on the balcony is just a neighbor, and he actually couldn't catch the kid that easily. About the guy who saved him, he is an immigrant from Mali who arrived in France a few month ago. He was recieve by the french president who offered him french citizenship and a job as a firefighter.

    Hey, I'm french (the country where the guy climbed up), and the parents left their child in their appartement while they where shopping or something like that.
    The guy on the side is the neighbor, and their's the glass separating him and the child, so he was very scared to drop the kid as he couldn't get a proper grip onto him.
    So then the guy (he's actually a Malian with no French paper) climbed up to save the child. He actually got received by the French president Emanuel Macron.
    Just a little clarification...

    • @benjaminlevi763
      @benjaminlevi763 6 років тому +1

      Firstly hello,
      Also which European country are you?
      Ps: I'm also Russian (and other nationalities), and we (French) contribute a lot to the European image (the French etiquette, the food culture, ...).

    • @jezwc
      @jezwc 6 років тому

      The French Cuber you’re proud of those meager contributions? I’m not from Europe. I’m living as a European minority in Africa. And I can tell you that, in reality, you’re hated by the people you’re letting into your country. They call you, and me, colonialists and they want nothing more than to see you fall

    • @benjaminlevi763
      @benjaminlevi763 6 років тому +1

      How am I the one to blame??? Am I the one controlling such a thing??? NO!!!
      Also, how are people coming into France calling Frenchs colonialist as they're the ones to colonize the country?
      PS: What MASSIVE contribution did your country brought to Europe???

    • @jezwc
      @jezwc 6 років тому

      The French Cuber you clearly don’t have a 100% grasp on the English language and therefore there’s no point trying to get this across to you. I don’t blame you for that since it’s probably second language. Just forget about it. You and your fellow countrymen are a lost cause anyway
      😪

      Это мой родной язык - русский.
      Но что вы говорите, вы не отвечаете хорошо. Я задавался вопросом, какие новшества привела ваша страна в Европу. Тогда ответьте правильно! Может быть, это слишком сложно, как пятно для вас?
      Кроме того, я не знал, что вы посланник мира. Почему вы не решили все эти проблемы?
      Честно говоря, я думаю, что ты очень хитрый.

    I think way too many people are afraid to be genuine and different on UA-cam. Everyone wants to be the next Casey, the next Philly D, the next PewDiePie. They have no unique identity that only they can say, "that's mine!" And the thing is, the best makes it look easy when it really isn't. So for those that believe they do have the talent and have the work ethic to back it up, don't let go of your aspirations on this platform or anything else. The cream really does rise to the top.

    • @herrezonderland
      @herrezonderland 6 років тому +1

      PictureFit I agree. I do think there’s also the issue of people becoming ‘creators’ for the wrong reasons. Fame and money being the primary goals. A lot of the old YT’ers have been at it before it could even be monetized and did it because they really love making video’s.
      You should do something because you love it, not just for likes. And I do think that’s what many people go for (the likes). What do you think?

    • @Supaslicer

    The guy that was next to the kid in the video was the neighbor. He was holding on to the kid but didn't have the arm strength to pull him over. He was worried if he tried he would drop him and couldn't get closer because there was a barrier. The Father of the child was at the grocery store and left the kid alone!!

  • @seward9
    @seward9 6 років тому +418

    • @slickvanilla3058
      @slickvanilla3058 6 років тому +9

      sewardt Do you know why the guy next to the child didn't get the baby up as quickly and safe as possible. And I would have crawled up the same way the other guy did but would have came up directly under the child so if it fell then I could have caught it. The guy is still a hero and my logic might be wrong for some reason but that's what I would have done. Why in the world did that guy right next to the baby not lift the child up immediately?????

    • @TheDexter54
      @TheDexter54 6 років тому +57

      He said he was to far, for lift him and was scared that the kid’s hand slip while he’s grabbing him. So he preferred wait for the other guy. Btw the other guy was a migrant, he met the president, will be naturalised, and will get the opportunity to become a Paris fireman

    • @slickvanilla3058
      @slickvanilla3058 6 років тому +2

      Emile Dem WOW , this was a very bad situation that ended well because of that man that climbed up there and saved that child's life. The man is a hero and he deserves even more than he already has been given but I hope anyone would do the same thing, I would without hesitation whatsoever.

    The father was out shopping and playing Pokemon who found out about the incident much later from the police (apparently going to be charged for negligence).
    And the rescuer was a passerby (refugee from Malia just awarded the French citizenship for his bravery and a firefighter's job) at the right place and the right time.

    Casey, I really expected better from you than to use your social media platform to witch-hunt some guy based on false rumours. BBC and Le Parisien have reported that the man on the balcony was the neighbour who was holding on to the boy's hand and needed to take things step by step to make sure he didn't lose his grip. He had to climb around a balcony divider to get to the boy - it's hard to see on the video. The guy saved the boys life.

    Should you start a YT channel in 2018? - it is all about the WHY. If you are creating it just for external rewards (money & fame) probably not; but if you are creating it for internal rewards (e.g. an outlet for your creativity) then go for it. I am pretty causal but I get a huge sense of satisfaction in learning and creating content.

    There are so many people focused on being “big” on this platform that they forget what it’s like to be themselves. Creating content should be about passion not about the numbers and that’s where so many lose themselves. Yeah, there’s pressure to create but at the end of the day, it’s important to remember that the channel a person has and the content that is put out is controlled only by that creator, not anyone else.

Even though Im a smaller youtuber I still feel its important we have a steak in the convo as well. But you have alot of valid points on this topic so Im hoping the video I create will help me do the same. I love both of you guys content being 100% honest about serious topics and such. I was at first on this platform for the money. But after my first video and the change in monetization I realized there was a whole different animal Im gonna have to deal with. Reading some of you alls comments in live and on videos made me very aware of these things. So now Im here to create a new stream of revenue and build it out from there into multiple streams and sutstain myself enough as well as my family. And my creative ambitions for my future. So Im here because of creativity and stretch and grow and thats all Ive seen from you and Casey While i you niches. Thank you again for this video. Are you seriously using a Paper Towel as a Light Diffuser!! 😂🤣😂🤣. Only Casey. ✌️😄

      FaceSmacker! Studios it works! I am a professional photographer with an actual photography degree. I have done this, people I’ve worked for have done this, I’ve shown this to other people who are still doing this. It’s a thing. People love to throw money at stuff and have gadgets and whatnot but you REALLY don’t need to.

      Also it might just be a sheet of diffusion. Who knows. But I gave a clothespin and a paper towel to a photographer at my sisters wedding....and she kept it there all day.

      I am totally trying this! I've actually been looking for a cheap way to diffuse my lighting without buying those overpriced "photography" diffuser sheets. 😒. I just hope it doesnt catch on fire...😰

    Your so right Casey. I want to be a film maker and am using UA-cam as my platform but I feel like no one is seeing my content. ☹️

      No, if you live without pressure, then you are in vacuum. The pressure of the atmosphere applies equally to the living and the dead.

    How did I just discover this channel? I’ll never know the pressure but it sounds like a good kind.

    lol Don't get into UA-cam to make money.. Get into it as a hobby. If you enjoy what you do, it'll never feel like a job... Kinda lol

      Jay & Rengin exactly. Most people getting into UA-cam feel that they deserve to make a living as soon as they join. Kids are growing up expecting to have a prospering career the second they start working. I started at a lawn care service at 15 years old and just this year I’m finally making that $25 an hour I’ve been working towards at 20 years old. That’s 5 years of commitment before I started seeing my reward. (I’m obviously not doing this as a career; I am going to college lol).

      TOTALLY! And interesting comments regarding subs, as since January I've uploaded 96 videos and have 60 subs, I had 59 subs previously on an old channel with a couple videos, but I enjoy the entire process of filming, editing etc etc so will continue making content. Keep on keeping on peeps!🙂

    Keep running Casey! The weather has been perfect in NYC this summer. It hasn't been the swamp ass / garbage juice temps like summers past....
